I really hope Blizzard incentivizes raiding major cities in BFA. Posted: 06 Mar 2018 05:37 AM PST Whether it be rare drops form faction leaders or some kind of currency from guards to get gear, I really hope they implement reasons to actually raid cities. If they are going for a full on Alliance vs Horde expansion, this would be amazing. [link] [comments]
First real gaming mouse....now I understand... Posted: 06 Mar 2018 07:44 AM PST So I was able to pick up a Logitech g600 a few weeks ago. My first gaming mouse. Now I admit I have never been the best player. I'm a keyboard turner and a clicker. Never could develop the hand memory for keyboard for keybinding to be much more than an exercise in frustration. So I play very casually; for the most part I solo in my guild so I don't inconvenience anyone. Then my husband and roommate both came back to the game, and we leveled a 3man team of prot pally, ele shaman, and holy priest to play together on the weekends. After some advice from way better friends I got Vuhdo and worked out some basic binds to work with my 3button mouse. So I was doing great healing my little group but I wanted more. Checked this forum for advice on peripherals, saw a fair amount of love for the Logitech and picked it up after seeing it for sale on Amazon. Dear Lord, the difference in my play between then and now. I am still doing basic binding but I am able to put more of them on the mouse. I actually get rotations now and can do them effectively and efficiently. My DPS has soared and while I am still keyboard turning I am doing way less than I used to. I used to stick to hunters as I had distance and a pet to give me a margin of safety. Now I actually feel comfortable enough to try melee specs. I am currently leveling a ret pally and loving it. What a difference one peripheral makes. I will never be the best player but I will be a better and more importantly HAPPIER one now. Yeah this was a lot of spam, but thank you guys for all the info and advice y'all put down here. You're helping people git gud even when you don't know it. Thank you. :) [link] [comments]
Blizzard should buff honor gains. Not Nerf it. Posted: 06 Mar 2018 11:41 AM PST With the recent nerf to honor gains and making the seething shore alot slower. Its clear to me that people wont be doing as much pvp anymore. People played the BG to see what it was like, then people started playing that BG for the honor gain. What i would recommend is to buff honor from all BG's and continue with the 15 second respawn for your self. Pvpers get exclusive rewards and im fine with that, but the time and dedication is obnoxious. Grinding for months on end to get 1 item seems a little crappy. [link] [comments]

Nothing like playing WoW with your friends :) A +11 Upper Karazhan story. Posted: 06 Mar 2018 05:14 AM PST Some guys I've been really close friends with for... (counts backwards on his fingers to high school...) ~9 years? finally convinced me to renew my sub, because, "Legion is awesome." Well, as it turns out, yes, Legion is pretty damn awesome. I rolled up a DK a couple of weeks ago so that I'd be the same level as them, and had fun for a couple of nights. However, they put the fear in my heart with how fast they were leveling, so I pre-ordered BfA (I still needed to actually buy Legion anyways, so w/e) and boosted right up to 110 :D They caught up pretty fast haha (these dudes are MAD power levelers, and I've got 2 jobs and a kid haha). WELL, last night... oh boy, last night... So we've been gearing up. We've got a guild started up, and we're working on preparing for raiding, right? We did a full ToS normal clear last weekend with a group of pugs. Nothing crazy yet, but I've already got a 927 iLvL, another has a 930something, etc. So we figured that we're hot shit, right? "Hey guys, let's use the last of this week's loot bonus and cheese some 10+ Mythic runs tonight!" We died 104 TIMES in a Mythic +11 Upper Karazhan. 104. 104. 104. 104. 104. It took us like, 3 and a half hours. I had never done the dungeon before (neither the original BC one, or this newer version). So not only was this a completely new dungeon experience for me, but it was a +11 keystone. Raging, Volcanic, AND Tyrannical. The dungeon, which was already FULL of mechanics, was now a bona fide 5 man raid. I'm not going to say we didn't have fun though, because it was a fucking BLAST. We were laughing at ourselves the ENTIRE time. I wish I'd been streaming, honestly. Every mistake was so innocent. Each death so unexpected. Every single time we rezzed, it was nothing but, "Okay NOOOW we got this..." wipe... It got to the point where they'd be explaining the fight for the upcoming boss, and one would just say, "Alright you know what? Let's just wipe and learn it the old fashioned way," and he Leroy'd right on in haha. GOD, Medivh's "Flame Wreath" ability was CANCER with the "Volcanic" modifier on the dungeon. For Flame Wreath, 2 players are surrounded by... uh, wreaths of flame, and if anyone touches the ring then it does a shit ton of damage to the whole party. And by "a shit ton," I mean about 8,000,000 hit points worth. So that would pop down around a couple of people... and then volcanoes would start to spawn inside of the wreath -.- R.I.P. Our elitist rogue got knocked off the bridge TWICE by that lady with the hammer hahaha. IN THE SAME FIGHT. He rezzed after the first one, ran up, and got sent flying immediately. We couldn't hold our own breath for most of the dungeon. The non-plate-users had to go and repair like twice lmao. Thanks for bringing me back to have such a good damned time with my friends, Blizzard. [link] [comments]

[Theory] Silas Darkmoon is actually a Twilight Cultist Posted: 06 Mar 2018 08:02 AM PST Ahead of You, Down the Path A Majestic, Magical Faire! Ignore the Darkened, Eerie Woods Ignore the Eyes That Blink and Stare Fun & Games & Wondrous Sights! Music & Fireworks to Light Up the Night! Do Not Stop! You're Nearly There! Behold, My Friend: THE DARKMOON FAIRE! . Ah, Darkmoon Faire... What a bizarre place you are. A misty island shrouded in darkness and mysteries, a secretive place bringing joy to children of all ages full of weird showmen uncaring from where your origins lie; only wanting to have you be the happiest you can be. Some may think the Faire is only here to make money but they're wrong: its employees always stay together on their island, the Faire is their family and they don't want to leave it; they have no personal goal to live their life outside of it. They only want you to be happy, but why? What if I told you your happiness is an energy that fuels the Old Gods? Peculiar I know, but let me explain. Have you ever noticed how the Darkmoon Faire logo looked strangely similar with Y'shaarj? That's no coïncidence; Silas Darkmoon was probably the one to make this logo and he knows what the old gods are. This suspicious gnome likely used to be a twilight cultist who ended up discovering the eye of Yshaarj, one of the many parts of the dismembered god. Yes that weird eye that's constantly looking at you. Like every other parts of Y'shaarj body, the eye is made of pure emotions, with this one being nothing else than the Sha of Happiness. Wait, aren't shas supposed to be all about negative emotions ?.. Well, Doubt, fear, Anger or Pride aren't obviously bad emotions either... They only become problems when their presence get excessive. Similarly unreasonable happiness can get hazardous as wel, it leads to thoughtlessness or psychopathy. In the comic Sylas Darkmoon is shown as an always-smiling figure, feeling joy even when he buries a man alive without feeling any remorse; misplaced joy is a scary thing. Darkmoon island in general is based on misplaced pleasures: Enjoy beating these gnolls, have weapons while we exploit some animals! If you're still incredulous then let me ask you a question, have you ever seen the titans or any of their creation smiling or feeling joy? No, they're always serious about everything, the most they can feel is satisfaction. (And thats more of an absence of displeasement than anything else) Why do you think Blizzard hates fun so much? Every single smile is making the eye stronger. Slowly but surely the cultists of the Faire are regenerating Y'shaarj while we keep providing them with mysterious items. They also like collecting strange cards imbued with mystical powers for some reason, in a previous theory I explained why the traditional card suits are a symbol of old gods, so I won't talk about that again. So... Now that you know that, have fun at the Faire! [link] [comments]
