Majority of this subreddit minus a few individuals seem to find the AKM a pretty poor option vs the 5.56 counterparts.

We can all agree right now that the m416 is dominating the arena, with the Scar-L a viable second option, and for those skilled individual who fancy some nuance, the burst fire m16 is a nice very viable alternative.

So how do we go about bringing the AKM back in line?

Right now it is nothing but a high powered smg only really viable at super close ranges.

My proposal is to slightly reduces the hortizonal recoil of the AKM maybe via an attachment (grip and/or stock) or a flat buff to recoil. If I remember rightly it was gutted over 6 months ago.

The competitive scene doesn't really represent the majority as in squads with less loot time due to rotations etc. The AKM is well represented as it can shoot down vehicles, and is used to spread ammo across the team.

This isn't an original proposal, but definitely something we should all get behind!

Make the AKM great again!

It serves no purpose. All it does is cause buggy movement and drops. If you catch a roof it teleports you all over the place or just gets you stuck on the edge of a cable. If it works like a parachute actually does when hitting things that'd be at least an improvement, but atm it is nothing more than a chance to increase buggy incidents at the beginning of the game.

Hi guys,

So with an ultra-condensed title this is an idea I came up with that could probably cut down all of the hacking drastically.

There are two steps that need to be taken and I feel as though they are both worth "the hit".

Step one is hard region locking. This means forcing the region that has the most hackers - which doesn't need to be overstated - to play in their own region.

I am an American living in Taipei, Taiwan. I strongly feel that my region belongs to south-east Asia / Asia. A new server needs to made and explicitly designated as China.

Step 2: SMS verification and prime matchmaking. SMS verification will lead to Prime Matchmaking. Once a phone number has been tied to an account that has been permanently banned from the game, whatever account that phone number has been attached to is no longer able to access Prime Matchmaking.

I'm going to bed as it is 1:30 in the morning where I live. Goodnight guys, hope I have some intelligent discussion to wake up to in the morning.

PSA: FPS Drop Fix

Hey everyone,

 

I wanted to post this to potentially help one person with bad FPS out there that hasn't heard of this fix yet. While playing PUBG and streaming, my frames would drop to 20 and even 15 sometimes, which is pretty disgusting.

 

This one checkbox below boosted my frames by about 30, without affecting anything else:

 

Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PUBG\TslGame\Binaries\Win64

Right click on "TslGame.exe" and select Properties.

Navigate to "Compatibility".

In the little "Settings" section, check the "Override high DPI scaling behavior" box (in Windows 8 this option is called "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings").

In the drop down menu, make sure "Application" is selected.

Hit "OK".
