What is the strongest enemy in all of the fallout series

I think it's the legendary bloatfly from NV. I'm not joking that thing is deadly. It's ranged attack hits as hard as an alpha deathclaw and it has 2000 HP, not to mention its 400 damage melee attack.

The developers are BattleCry Studios, with some talented ones within them. They will be working with whatever BGS is working on.

Something important from your first ride to the Prywdyn

Posted: 08 Mar 2018 05:30 PM PST

As you're riding to the Prydwyn from the police station, Danse says "The Commonwealth looks different from up here, doesn't it? It never ceases to amaze me how drastically your perception of the battlefield changes from the air." As he says this, you're looking directly at the CIT ruins, and we know what's beneath that.

So the Brotherhood is looking down on the people of the commonwealth, enjoying their air superiority, and hadn't considered that there could be anything beyond what they can see from their vantage point. Certainly says a lot about the brotherhood.

Can we stop with the wild Faction hate?

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 06:16 AM PST

It seems like everyday we have people arguing over factions, which by itself is fine. But we have people who completely 100% ignore all the good qualities of a faction and just keep playing up the negative aspects.

No faction—just like no person— is 100% good. You need nuance to make a faction interesting, and you need to keep in mind that just because a faction isn't necessarily morally good doesn't mean that it's the worst choice in a post apocalyptic wasteland—just as a faction that is morally good doesn't suddenly make it the best choice either.

The Legion is misogynistic, practice slavery, and is a dictatorship under Caesar...but people in their lands live in relative comfort, and they're known for having some pretty safe roads to the point most caravans don't bother with guards. For people who go "muh safe roads" in response to this, imagine that every time you walked to the store or your friends house you stood a 99% chance of being raped/murdered/mugged. That's pretty much what life is like for some areas of the Wasteland.

The Railroad saves Synths and seeks to end the tyranny of the Institute and end the slavery of the Synths...but they don't really care for the common people of the Commonwealth (many of whom hate Synths), and they're too small to be in charge of the Commonwealth. The Institute can reasonably provide its tech with you as Director; The Brotherhood provides much needed order; and the Minutemen provide the foundation of a new CPG.

Remember: there is good and bad to every faction in this series, whether it be in morality or capability. And it's perfectly fine to like or hate factions even if they're good and capable or evil and pathetic.

All factions have reasons to be supported, just as they all have flaws. Except for insert favorite faction. They suck.

So stop calling the BoS Nazis, and stop saying that anyone who likes the Minutemen is a retard who is bound to the dark will of Preston. Lets have some rational discussion about the groups that doesn't just devolve into "that faction may have done several good things but they also did x haha checkmate loser".

EDIT: So it seems like people are already failing to follow the message of my post. I used the Legion as an example of a morally evil faction that has a good effect—and yet this thread shows exactly why liking an evil faction on this subreddit is bad. People get smug, go 'well ackstually they hate women haha checkmate loser'.

The downvote button is not a disagree button.

The Legion normally only subjugates Tribals into the Legion, as the Legion is only a military of slaves under Caesar. People in Legion controlled lands— both men and, shockingly enough, women, live life in relative comfort. Water runs smoothly, there's plenty of food, there's practically no fear of Raiders, and apart from a civilian occasionally pissing off a Legionairire, people are safe.

The only downside to being a civilian living in Legion controlled lands is that when they ask something, they only ask once—even if that involves moving their town to a spot a mile away.

Being a slave in Legion territory is shit. Being a civilian is a shockingly nice life for the Wasteland.

[SPOILER] My realization about Synths..

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 02:14 AM PST

I'm on my first playthrough on Fallout 4 and I thought ALL Synths are just pure machines or android is much closer to them. I thought Gen 3 Synths are just Gen 2 Synths with organic skins on them.

Until I finally got inside the institute, where there was this room where they are creating synths. At first I just thought they were just putting organic tissues on a robot model until I saw the machine forming the skeletons, that's when I realized that this is really messed up.

EDIT: I stated that I thought all Synths are just robots/cyborgs/android. There are is a big difference between the three as T4silly pointed in the comments below. :D

The strongest enemy of them all.

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 10:07 AM PST

The strongest enemy of them all is the 2075 Chryslus Corvega. If this mad beast gets hit by any stray bullet it will explode in a fiery torrent of destruction that will decimate you tearing you limb from limb until there is a pile of ashes where you once stood. They appear to be allied with both the raiders snd gunners as when they hit the 2075 Chryslus Corvega it will explode with the fiery passion of one thousand suns to split you atom from atom. And the worst part is that this enemy is one of the most populous in the wastes, you can barely turn down a street corner without seeing one. So traveler be weary of this vicious beast because it is after you.

Fallout 4 - 100% Settlement Happiness

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 04:10 AM PST

So I am one achievement away from getting Platinum and I am stuck on this 'Benevolent Leader' trophy. For months I have been trying to get this and I've only managed 87% happiness.

Currently my stats are;

Settlement: Sanctuary Hills

People: 21 Food: 36 Water: 138 Power: 57 Defence: 166 Beds: 35 Happiness: 87

Can anyone send me some tips or a mini guide on how to get to 100%?

Thank you!

What's your favorite Fallout game?

Mine's definitely Fallout New Vegas. I like the atmosphere more than that of Fallout 3!

What's yours?

What location do you want for the next Fallout game?

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 11:08 AM PST

I would personally want one in Toronto or Anchorage, as they already have some interesting lore, and could have a new faction based on people descended by the Chinese army.

Spoiler warning- Will Piper lose affection with me if I join the Institute?

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 06:37 AM PST

Title sums it up, I'm just trying to make it to third base with Piper, but I'm kind of rushing through the storyline so to speak.

Trying to Piece together Elder Maxson's Timeline

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 10:54 AM PST

So the other night when watching Nash's Fallout 4 stream we were discussing forms of governments and how Lyon's Chapter evolved into how it is today in the Commonwealth.

We know that ten years have passed since Arthur was a kid when Project Purity was finished by Sarah Lyons and the Lone Wanderer as well as witnessing the Enclave be destroyed by Liberty Prime.

Elder Lyons soon dies roughly a year or two later, after the events of Broken Steel, and then Sarah Lyons becomes Elder. Arthur idolized, or should I say lionized , Elder Lyons and must have been devastated when she fell in battle. Soon came a line of inept Elders who allowed for an Super Mutant Army lead by the Super Mutant leader Shepard to threaten the Capital Wasteland. At age 15 Maxson lead the charge and ended this grave threat this, coupled with his lineage, the Elders in the Lost Hills voted and named him Elder of his chapter. Maxson then brought the Outcasts back into the fold with his reforms to Elder Lyons the Elder's policies, making them actually viable and sustainable for the Brotherhood whilst at the same time increasing recruitment from the Wasteland and their humanitarian efforts.

Perhaps seeking to rebuild Liberty Prime and having heard of who visited her lab before she joined back up with the Brotherhood he sent recon squads to the Commonwealth to learn what they can and report back, unfortunately Paladin Brandis's expedition is fraught with danger and ultimately despair.

Paladin Danse's squad is sent later on I imagine two or three years later.

Throughout this time the Brotherhood has been studying and rebuilding Enclave tech to construct not only Vertibirds, which are fantastic troop drop ships combined with the rarer gunships, but their massive project of the Prydwen.

When this is done and after Paladin Danse retrieves the Deep Dish Transmitter from Arc-Jet Systems Elder Maxson, now aged 20, leads the charge to the Commonwealth eager to prove himself worthy of both his legacy and as his own man. To protect the citizens of the Commonwealth from the most dangerous threat to mankind since the Great War itself. Somewhere between the Lyon's deaths he has developed a HEAVY taste for whiskey as well as copious amounts of alcohol.

Did I get all that right? I don't have the exact dates mind but I believe I've got all of that together right.

What's the best WRITTEN faction in Fallout 4?

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 03:34 AM PST

I don't want to talk about morals and the faction's effect on the future of the Commonwealth. I want to know which is best written/more engaging faction quest, and which one fits better with the over all narrative of Fallout 4. The General opinion says that the Minutemen ending is the best from a moral point of view, but it's clearly underdeveloped and shallow narratuve-wise. So I think the choice comes down to BoS, Institute an Railroad. What do you guys think?

Water transmits pressure in FO4

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 02:55 PM PST

I was just battling a group of seriously nasty Super Mutants (honestly, what happens at level 70? Do they immediately get 10k more hit points or something?!?)

Anyway, I'm using the Mutant Slayer Gauss Rifle on em, and our battle ranges into the water.

I miss one of them, shooting from the hip, and the pressure wave created by my shot hitting the water VASTLY increased the power of my shot, and damaged all THREE of them!

Ok. Yeah. This is just real-world physics.

But seeing it happen in Fallout?!? So very cool....

New Vegas not running smoothly

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 08:55 AM PST

I don't know why, but I started up new Vegas again and the frame rate just stutters. It gets really bad and drops to 20 fps. I should have absolutely no problem running it. I run it at max, and that's optimal. Before it didn't do that anyone have a fix?

F4SE and mods broken, please help me!

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 01:23 PM PST

For the past few MONTHS I've been trying to get F4SE and my mods to work.

F4SE keeps crashing and my mods are technically installed but when I try to use them. (Texture mods like Gruffydd signs and poster mod) they are invisible or don't apply the texture even though it's saying it's installed.

But more importantly, let's focus on F4SE. It crashes on startup no matter how I install it or how many times I reinstall FO4.

I need F4SE because I need place everywhere for settlement building (which requires F4SE) and I need mods for obvious reasons.

Please help me...

Ideas for future versions of Power armor? (AKA ideas for modders)

Posted: 09 Mar 2018 02:22 AM PST

Hello! I was wondering what all of your ideas were for future versions of Power armor for Future Fallout games?

I, for one, would like it to absorb small arms fire completely, and not damage health at all. There is a mod on nexusmods for new vegas by XFO that basically have 0% damage bleedthrough, and a mod for remaking values of armor to be better. Basically, these two mods make power armor practically a tank, except against Anti-mat rifles, but even then it can take a lot of punishment. Share your ideas! As innovative and wacky as you can get! :)
