The Importance of Resetting the Neutral Posted: 24 Feb 2018 06:54 AM PST I've been playing sfv for a year now. I'm a lowly super silver scrub, and barely even that lol. Man do I wish I would've figured out this concept earlier. I realized that I had a good idea of the preferred ranges for the characters I play, but didn't really have a clue about the ranges of the characters I didn't play. I started paying attention to the ranges where it felt like my buttons always got stuffed by the opponents attacks and I stopped pressing buttons there. More importantly, I started to move away and more often than not the aggressor wants to follow so then I started finding my characters' buttons that are good at pestering advancing opponents. I'm playing Ed right now so I use his m.k. and if I'm feeling aggressive I'll throw out s.hk. I almost feel like this concept should be talked about a bit more with beginners. I hear a lot about "learning when to take your turn" and stuff, and I agree it's more important to cover frame advantage/disadvantage to a new player first. But learning "Where to take your turn" seems almost just as important to me and should perhaps be emphasized a bit more to newcomers. [link] [comments]

Posted: 24 Feb 2018 01:53 AM PST When you lose a match and you're left salt (you know the feeling), do pushups to get it out. Don't count them, just use that feeling to bust some ass with pushups. Don't let it fester. Take your punishment for losing. [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Feb 2018 03:13 AM PST Hey, is there a discord or community page for Japan? I moved here a few months ago and would love to connect with some players. [link] [comments]
Can't find matches ranked/casual and can't join lobbies after game crash Posted: 24 Feb 2018 10:09 AM PST I already reinstalled the game, i have the handshake symbol and i don't know what to do anymore. This game is a piece of garbage i never had so many problems before with a game! I don't know if it was like that before, but then i try to use the login button it says it's not available but I'm logged in 100% (no offline mode). I started the game yesterday and played 1 match without issues and after that my game crashed in training mode. Since then i can't find any matches or join lobbys. Then i bought the game i had to 1. Deactivate avira antivirus 2. I had to unplug my wacom tablet 3. I had to use autohotkey to rebind keyboard buttons 4. I had to call my internet provider to switch because of disconnects from ipv6 to ipv4 5. I need to restart my pc everytime before i start sfv if not it crashes after 10-15 minutes everytime and I still have no solution for that issue What a wonderful game. Street Fighter V ladies and gentleman. The game i bought against all the criticism it has. [link] [comments]

What are some good ways I can train in my current situation? Posted: 23 Feb 2018 09:23 PM PST I'm without stable internet for a few weeks and I decided to put most of my free time into training. Basically it's like that part in Rocky 4 where he is in that log cabin in the middle of nowhere and trains to fight that Russian boxer. That's almost exactly my situation right now where I'm living. I need some ideas on training exercises and challenges. I'm tired of doing survival mode over and over so I'm looking for ideas that may have helped you all get better. I want to Main Blanka, Ryu, and Mika. Thoughts? [link] [comments]

Is this game worth picking up? Posted: 23 Feb 2018 10:40 PM PST I've really only played injustice 2 (as far as fighters go) and it was kind of meh. I still want to play fighting games. Will I be too far behind the learning curve or will I be able to get the hang of it pretty quick? [link] [comments]

Can we have an honest discussion about SFV difficulty as a whole? Posted: 23 Feb 2018 10:54 AM PST I've been arguing for some time now with friends that don't like SFV and their main point they bring out is "SFV is too easy (to pull combos) and that makes it boring when compared to other SF games (they bring a lot USF4 though they have played previous games). I have my own thoughts on the matter but first I'd like to know what some of you guys think on this topic. [link] [comments]
Posted: 24 Feb 2018 12:45 AM PST I'm practicing his bnb combos with the help of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8lLj4z7SfU&t=36s Im trying to execute the combo shown at 1:03. It goes like jhp > mp > chp > kkp But if i do this, after my chp hits im to far away from the target to do the kk>p If i look at the video it doesnt seem like ed is walking between the combo, so i guess im doing something wrong. But what? :D [link] [comments] |
