I had my first "corpse obsession" mental break today. Posted: 19 Feb 2018 09:28 PM PST It actually was funny in how little my colonists reacted. We had just had a tribal raid that got thoroughly stomped. We left 8 dead and managed to capture 2. At the time one of my colonists, Trixie, was sitting on a inspired recruitment bonus, so after looking at the 2 prisoners, I set one to "chat and recruit" and gave Trixie highest priority for wardening. Of course, the captive, Bear, immediately joined even though she was in extreme pain. Bear went off to change her outfit before heading to the hospital She was still in the stockroom when her pain caused her to mentally break. Now my colony has kind of grown organically. We did have 1 member die some time ago, a wandering knight named Humps. Originally his sarcophagus was outside the colony, but as the colony expanded we absorbed the area around his sarcophagus and it is now sitting in the middle of the stockroom. But he died around day 40 and its now day 167 or so, but Bear runs to the sarcophagus, opens it up and takes the skeleton over to the dining room table where she sets it down before heading off to the hospital. I just have one of my nearby colonists, Passion, pick up the skeleton and return it to its rightful place. I didn't even really see anyone's mood go down, not even Zaida and she was sitting at the dining table when Bear dropped the corpse. (but Zaida was drinking a bottle of whiskey, so who knows, maybe she missed it.) Fun, interesting, but had no real effect on my colony. Just random weirdness. :) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 19 Feb 2018 08:19 PM PST This isnt that serious but, im new to the game and i can relatively get a stable colony in most biomes but i can't seem to find out what to do next? research takes forever, new colonists, never show up etc.. anyways, what i'm asking for is like a progression timeline in a run (what you would recommend to do in a complete run in order) [link] [comments] |

Apparently plasteel doors don't insulate? Posted: 19 Feb 2018 11:56 PM PST Build a 2 thick wall fridge. Have two doors with a space in between. With plasteel one cooler struggles to do anything. With wood it's a constant -1. Dafuq? [link] [comments] |

If you destroy all bases of a faction, does that destroy the faction? Posted: 20 Feb 2018 12:08 AM PST Ignoring how insurmountable that task is, of course. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Feb 2018 06:44 PM PST I want an all lynx-man tribe but I haven't been able to recruit any other lynx men. The one lynx man tribe on the map is neutral to me. If you can't get lynx man wanderers, is there any way to change a colonist's species with development tools? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 19 Feb 2018 10:41 AM PST Ironically it nearly all went bad, when the bugs started pathing towards my under construction base. Thankfully gave up before they got there! [link] [comments] |
