| banned summoner names wont expire ever but why? Posted: 05 Feb 2018 11:06 AM PST i wanted to take a name, it was already in use but the account is inactive since 2015... i know protection is 30months for lv30 accounts(which is still longer than it should imo, a year at max would be reasonable) i checked on lolnames.gg says "***" is probably available! If this name can't be taken now the account is almost certainly banned and the name will never expire. wanted to confirm that and asked support, they said the same thing. "Accounts that go unused for too long are susceptible to Summoner name decay. If an account hasn't played any games for a certain amount of time, their Summoner name will be flagged as available. The Summoner name remains on the account until another player claims it, at which point the Summoner name will be removed. If an inactive account loses its Summoner name this way, there will be a prompt to select a new Summoner name the next time that account logs into the client. Each Summoner name will have 6 months of inactivity protection upon creation. Each Summoner name will earn an additional month of inactivity protection for each Summoner level above 6, up to 30 months. Inactivity is defined to be a period in which no games of any kind have been played on the account. When inactivity protection expires, your name will be available to be claimed through the Summoner name Change service in the store. Regarding the other concern, a banned account's name will not expire and unfortunately the rules apply only for inactive ones. Thank you for understanding!" well all banned accounts becomes inactive, so why treat them differently? why protect their names? that doesnt make any sense... a name i want is inactive for 3 years and i cant even take it cuz old owner was a bad summoner and got himself banned. im not saying that we should be able to take banned summoner names right after ban... just let the names expire like usual inactive ones or make it a year or something... but dont make them "never expiring" like this. its a waste of great names. | You think you can name all League of Legends champions in under 10 minutes? Try it with my new quiz! Posted: 05 Feb 2018 02:47 AM PST Hey people of /r/leagueoflegends, I made a quiz on sporcle.com where you need to guess all the Champions from League of Legends (currently 139). I know it may sound easy for you, cause you already played this game for hundreds of hours, but you will come to a point where you think: "What the f***? Which champ is missing here?". In addition I added some "meme" answers for some champs. You don't know what I mean? Just type "Couple" or "Don't Chase" into the answer field. If you have some recommendations for me about the quiz or some additions for the "special" answers feel free to comment here or right under the quiz. Last but not Least: the link: https://www.sporcle.com/games/MisterBuggi/league-of-legends-champions-up-to-date And I know this isn't the first time someone made a similiar quiz, but the current quizzes on this website aren't up to date what really bothers me). Good Luck and Have Fun! Edit: Right now the quiz was being played 19.7k times, what makes this the unoffical 2nd most palyed quiz on sporcle.com today (I am at CET you should know). It isn't offical cause the statistic only show the verified quizzes. Well I will put the statistics in a different post in some days. And thanks for playing. Edit2: SPOILER ALERT Only one "meme"-answer i put into the quiz is missing. The others are:
Only one missing. I know there are more. (Jhin -4 or Kennen as Pickachu but at some point I need to stop :)) THANKS FOR PLAYING. [link] [comments]
| [POLL] Riot teased 16 Champs for a potential rework. Which one deserves it the most? Posted: 05 Feb 2018 07:28 AM PST So after the reworks for Irelia, Aatrox and Akali there are 16 potential champs for a rework teased by Reav3. Vote for the champion you think deserves a VGU the most. | Posted: 05 Feb 2018 12:50 PM PST Like honestly, toplane might not be the most impactful role in SoloQ, but if you set it in perspective with how the map is built it would be absurd if it was. In a messy game midlaners and junglers can obviously have more impact on botlane than a toplaner with his tp every few minutes. The meta is more diverse than it has been through the entireity of season 7. Like obviously there are some champions that feel underwhelming (e.g. Renekton) because they have no decent keystone, but some champions will ALWAYS feel underwhelming, that is the norm. A lot of bruisers/carry champions are very strong right now (GP, Camille, Jax, Fiora, Jayce, Gnar, Akali (just SoloQ), Sion, etc.) while tanks are also in a decent spot (Ornn, Maokai, Chogath, Shen). Therefore I see no argument as to why toplaners complain right now. Who hasn't quit in season 7 should most definitely not quit this season, because its a lot more exciting than playing tanks in ardent meta. just my 2 cents peace [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 05 Feb 2018 07:24 AM PST Hi! My name's Devin. I started playing League back in late Season 1 and have been a fan of both the game and the professional leagues ever since. After reading through Riot's announcement for the competitive Clash game mode, I knew that this would be the perfect chance for my friends and I to finally taste what is best in life. However, after the initial hype had worn off I was faced with a grim realization: we aren't that good at the game, so we're going to need all the help we can get. From LCS matches all the way down to games played in the cardboard mines, one of the most important aspects of a match is played out before Summoner's Rift even loads. Building a roster during champion select that not only plays effectively together but also plays around the win-conditions of your opponents is critical to maximizing your team's chance of walking away with a win. Done well, the drafting phase of League can give you an enormous advantage going into the game through strong lane matchups, scaling, or surprising your opponents with aggressive and/or cheesy picks. There's no better feeling (or no worse if you happen to be on the wrong end..) than when your team totally out drafts your opponents. I've always been interested in how and why pro teams draft the way they do, and since Clash is going to follow the same drafting structure used in professional play, I set out to use machine learning to help me navigate the drafting phase using professionally played matches for data. With that in mind, allow me to introduce you to Swain Bot! If you're just interested in playing around with Swain Bot to see what he comes up with, I've hosted a version of the model trained on matches from up to Week 3 of Spring 2018 with a (very) crude interface here. How does Swain Bot work? As a master tactician (and part-time Lucius Malfoy impersonator), Swain Bot uses behavioral cloning and a deep Q-network to estimate a 'value' for each legal pick from a given state of the draft. Most importantly, Swain Bot doesn't necessarily think of drafting as a classification problem where the goal might be to predict the single next action which is most likely to occur given our sample data. Instead, Swain Bot models the drafting phase as a Markov decision process (MDP) and as a result is able to look at not just the immediate next pick but consider submissions multiple picks ahead when making his decisions. Finally, by estimating values for each pick Swain Bot is able to distinguish between good, mediocre, and bad submissions for a state. If you're interested in more details, you can check out this write-up I put together about Worlds 2017 here. What does Swain Bot not do? As great as I think Swain Bot is, there's always room for improvement. Here are a few things to keep in mind if you're interested in using Swain Bot:
Check out Swain Bot if you're looking to level up your drafting skills for your Clash team, or if you're just interested in how pro teams draft! If you've got any constructive criticism or comments, be sure to leave them below. Thanks! [link] [comments]
| I'm done with top lane, after maining it for 2 years (peaked at D3) Posted: 05 Feb 2018 08:09 AM PST I'm just so done, I'm not even gunna make this lengthy or ranty, here's the bullet points 1) Aftershock is stupidly broken, and there is no fucking excuse why this rune should be overloaded the way it is. If the opponent has it, and you don't you don't deal any damage to them in trades, none. 2) Camille/Maokai/Gnar/GP/Teemo/Jayce/Illaoi/Singed are ruining what top lane should be, broken sustains and ranged poke 3) Hashinshins entire argument that bruisers have no keystone, for instance, Riven has to take spell book (zero damage mastery) against a Maokai or Camille that's running Aftershock/Comet (Damage mastery) 4) There's no skill required in top lane anymore, at least in fucking season 7 I used to go up against Renektons/Kleds/Irelias/Fioras/Gragas and it was less fucking cancerous, the lane depended on knowing your power spikes and how much your champion could take 5) The introduction of Bramble Vest, literally, tank buys this and sunfire, and you're AD, you lose every trade and every 2v2 and every fight ever because they outclass you in every way shape or form until you get full build with sustain at like 40-45 minutes 6) Some nerfs over the years to bruisers need to be reversed and balanced, for instance, the nerf to LW, it used to give like 45% armor reduction flat, which was broken, so why did you change it to bonus armor? Just tone it down to 30% armor penetration and reduce the penetration to 20% for ranged Edit: I just saw that the "Bruiser keystone" Is being pushed back to patch 8.6, how wonderful [link] [comments] | ||

| Bear Stance failing to proc Sudden Impact rune Posted: 05 Feb 2018 03:50 AM PST Sudden Impact is supposed to interact with any dash. While not present in the in-game tooltip, in the patch notes in which this effect was added, it stated "Udyr now performs a slight dash toward his target on stunning attacks while the movement speed is active." Currently, this does not interact with Sudden Impact, though it should. A dash is a dash, no matter how small. (50 units, to be exact) [link] [comments] | ||
