Hope you've all had a good week <3 The Void? Kassadin's daughter? It's a familial reunion of sorts on the Rift - but not like you'd expect! This week's brought us the reveal of Kai'Sa, the Daughter of the Void. Our newest marksman (markswoman?) has hit the PBE - what do y'all think about her? Her ult, Killer Instinct, looks badass but I KNOW I'm going to get myself killed diving a bit too deep, hehe. (PS - We've got the team behind creating Kai'Sa doing an AMA on March 8th!) Speaking of new things on the Leaguescape, we've got a whole host of newly tweaked AP items to play with! People flaming newcomers in bot games is ridiculous. Posted: 23 Feb 2018 01:55 AM PST I was starting up a smurf and had to get through a few bot games to reach level 3 and in each one someone was actually flaming one of the other guys in the game. The guy picked nocturne with no smite probably because he looked the coolest to the new comer and was level 4 while everyone else was over level 10 and he was getting executed in the jungle, and one guy was actually flaming him hard for the whole game. What's the point? That nocturne is probably gonna be turned off playing again now out of fear of being flamed... This happened in each game I played (4 games guy flaming nocturne appeared in two of them). I couldn't really tell if these people were other Smurfs or just new players as well but how does the toxicity trickle all the way down to bot games for new players? Not that there's really anything to be done other than report these people but if a new person does read this and comes across a toxic person in a bot game (a fucking bot game come on) just mute them and try move past it. Doesn't matter if you die in the jungle 5 times with no smite you have to learn somehow and hopefully you won't do that again. submitted by /u/iamacompletetool [link] [comments]

Why is the client's low-spec mode keeps getting filled with dumb animations? Posted: 23 Feb 2018 12:37 AM PST Honestly, I had no problem with this game for 6 years, but now you gotta force all these meaningless animations. But it's okay, I mean if someone has the power, why shouldn't he enjoy some nice aesthetics? And people struggling with the client's bad optimization, we have the low-spec mode, right? Wrong, because it keeps getting filled with animations. The rune editor is notoriously power hungry anyway and Riot decides to add animations to it that cannot be disabled. I started my promo with a win and now I lost a game because the client completely froze during the ban phase. Thank you very much. And I hope we're already past the laughable "buy a better PC" reactions, because several high-end PCs are affected too, I know this from first hand. It is unacceptable that while a PC can run the game itself with 120 FPS, the fucking client is freezing. And not only that Riot doesn't try to optimize it better, they make everything worse. Edit: the audio settings that are resetting are the WINDOWS audio settings. I use the windows audio mixer to balance the volume.
