Based on BFA changes, why does Blizzard seem to have such an issue with making things baseline? Posted: 23 Feb 2018 09:58 AM PST This post was prompted after I found out about the newest updated changes for Ret Paladins. When I first saw Hammer of Wrath was coming back I was really excited as I'm sure pretty much everyone was. Then I saw that it was proposed to be on the same talent tier as Blade of Wrath and I couldn't help but get upset. First of all I don't understand why Blade of Wrath isn't just baseline anyway. It's fun, it makes resource generation feel more interactive, it makes the gameplay flow better in general. Blade of Justice is a fairly hollow ability without the talent, with Deliver the Justice being the only thing keeping it interesting otherwise (which of course there is no sign of in BFA yet lol). The difference between playing with and without Blade of Wrath is practically night and day. Why not just add it as baseline? If this was to be the build that went live I would definitely not be taking Hammer of Wrath because I would rather have interactive resource generation throughout the whole fight than another holy power generator during the execute phase. And it makes me sad that we even have to choose at all with the overall prune going on. The idea of a talented execute just doesn't make sense to me in general (I believe shadow priests are receiving the same treatment). Overall I just don't really understand the approach to pruning Blizzard have. While there's plenty of chance this won't be the version of Ret we see go live in BFA (and I'm sure someone in the comments will tell me I'm being hysterical for even posting this for discussion lol) the early builds do at least give us an idea of the direction Blizzard want to take. I don't get why they're so hesitant to make things baseline. Inquisition being on the same tier as Divine Purpose is another example of this. I'm sure basically every Ret Paladin who has been able to experience the joy of using Soul of the Highlord in Legion would agree that they should just make Divine Purpose baseline. Remember in the previous build when Wake of Ashes was on the same row as Crusade and Divine Purpose? You can literally have all three of those at the same time in Legion lol. They at least moved Wake to a different tier but it begs the same question, why not just baseline? It feels like a step backwards in power. We're already losing so much with the Artifact passives disappearing that if anything making these things baseline makes more sense than not. The missing ingredient in all of this is the Azerite Armor of course. I think we really need to know sooner rather than later what these pieces are going to do because at the minute basically every spec looks pretty barebones honestly. Maybe it'll partly give us the ability to take multiple talents like the "soul of the..." legendary rings. Maybe they'll add in artifact-like passives such as your divine storm shooting forward or "deliver the justice". Whatever they do though it's gonna need to be pretty good for me to not be a little worried about specs in BFA. [link] [comments]

Can Worgen Feral Druids please get a glyph allowing them to use their actual feral form? Posted: 23 Feb 2018 06:03 AM PST I don't imagine the logistics are too hard considering Claws of Shirvallah was a thing using the same skeleton. Cheers! Edit for clarity: Using the Worgen base model, the actual character model as the Feral 'Cat' form. [link] [comments]
