What I meant is the last round kinda broke the hype because we will never know if we could have won the round in normal situation.

IEM Katowice 2018 Stage

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 12:47 AM PST

Hello everyone, I'm StarLadder's main observer in CS: GO

Posted: 27 Feb 2018 04:20 AM PST

Hello everyone, I'm StarLadder's main observer in CS: GO. For this tournament I saw a lot of negative feedbacks towards me and my OBS TEAM. I understand that you want to see every frag, but it's not possible, we are not robots. Me and my team are trying to do our best in every match in order to show all the key points, and sometimes we fail to, and lose some kind of fragt or moment, now I'll try to explain why.

There were more than 50 maps played for the Playoffs, every day we worked in a non-stop mode. Yes, sometimes we were making mistakes, as we are people and not robots and sometimes might have happened miss click, turn on the corpse and so on, but that does not mean that we do not know the game well. Believe us we know it very well, we have been observing it for a long time, and those who are engaged in this work understand that catching everything is not realistic. Counter-strike is a game in which sometimes happen impossible things that had been too hard to predict, someone decides to rush in the second when you remove the camera from a player, someone accidentally falls from the height with a small number of health points and dies, some shoots the opponent through the floor of the map while you show the set up or rotation, etc. But there were a lot of pleasant moments when we have shown aces, key kills, lots of clutches and interesting game moments.

It is very difficult to keep track of everything, but we are trying to do it. Yes, we make mistakes, everyone makes mistakes, even the best of the best. We are people, we are all different and can not do everything perfectly. First of all we try to present the game so that all of you can understand what is happening on the map.

Apologies from me and my team for missing frags. So far, so good.

P.S: Unfortunately, we managed to observe only the final stage of the StarSeries S4. Before that, we had to observe the work of the recruits, correct them, letting them observe the group stage.
