In the last tournament, which was also the last one of 2017, we had 12 players for Wii U and 9 for 3DS. Who ended up winning? For the last batch of winners for 2017, we have for Wii U, A^ | DHB, and RichMrFork for 3DS.

What is in your opinion, the greatest combo ever done, with each character (don't have to do all of them)?

For me:

Fox: Mango vs Plup, Smash Summit 2 set finisher

Falco: Mango vs Plup, Shine 2016 set finisher

Marth: Mew2king's reverse fair into ken combo on Leffen at Apex 2014

Sheik: Mew2king vs PPMD at Evo 2014 (you know the one)

Puff: Hungrybox vs Armada pit combo at Evo 2014

Peach: Armada's parasol combo on Leffen at Drommeland

Falcon: S2J ultimate johnny stock on Lucky to end game 10 in grand finals from that one weekly

Super Smash Bros Wii U is the best game ever made in generations

I was going through a lot of stuff in high school. My grades were low and I just didn't have any interest in learning stuff. I skipped school often and barely attended class. And not to mention this asshole named Kevin who owned me some money and slept with my girlfriend. That son of a bitch.

So anyways I drop out of high school because I wasn't showing up most of the time and my parents just did not care. So I spent my days dwelling away in my room in the deep cycles of depression.

I would just go and play videogames by myself, being totally antisocial. I had a wii u and I often played Mario Kart and other games. However, none of these made me interested really. Then, one day that all changed.

I was bored so I was going through the nintendo e - shop when I come across this game called "SUPER SMASH BROTHERS FOR NINTENDO 3DS AND WII U" I never heard of the smash bros franchise before but the concept looked interesting to me. I decided to purchase the game and immideatly I was fuckign hooked/

The game is fucking amazing every character is so unique and different and theres so many different playstyles its amazing. I play online most of the time against other people and this helps me improve my skills. WHAT AN AWESOME GAME.

It really helped with my mood and I decided that if I wanted to start going to tournaments for smash bros I would have to clean up my act and start going to school again. So I go back to schoool better than ever and everything is amazing

Watching Mango do anal on Leffen vs Armada, and he said "I believe in the PPMD, where if one person plays well they make the other person play worse".

The fight for #10 on PGRv4? Set wins breakdown of two potential contenders

The top #20-11 players on the PGRv4 will release tomorrow. While it cant be for certain who will rank where, I think for the 2nd straight year one of the tightest races will come down to Mr. R vs Abadango.

Only one of these players will join ZeRo, Nairo, Dabuz and Larry Lurr in the group of 5 players to make top 10 in all four PGR seasons. I first started talking about this race right at the close of the season, and right before the reveal the topic is worth revisiting one last time. Ill be breaking down each competitors wins on PGR players, where those wins came, and the TTS value of the tournament

S and S+ Tourneys

-EVO (S+) was the biggest event of the season, worth a whopping 4192 point value on the TTS system. At EVO, Aba beat falln, Raito, MVD and WaDi

-Mr. R defeated Tsu at EVO, but none of his other wins came over PGR top 50

-Mr. Rs attended DHA (S Tier, 2640). His top 8 finish also included 1 PGR win, over ESAM

-At SSC (S Tier, 3264), Mr. R got wins over dyr and Mistake

-At SCR saga (S tier, 2480), Mr. R got a win over Samsora

-At GT-X (S tier, 3184), Ramin took out Marss (likely top 20) and Darkshad (26)

-At TBH7 (S tier, 2688), Mr. R defeated Ally. Abadango beat ESAM

-At Fire Emblem Saga (S Tier, 2480), Abadango got 6WX (43)

-At MK Leo Saga the other S+ event of the season at a value of 3648 points, Ramin took out Zenyou, MVD, Void and ZeRo

-Aba defeated K9, ESAM, and Salem at MK Leo saga as well

-Then at the 2GGC Finale (S tier, 2560), Aba defeated Captain Zack Nairo and Komorikiri

.....So at S tiers tourneys, Ramin has 7 wins, Aba has 5.

  1. Ramins wins came over #39 dyr, 26 Darkshad, 25 MVD, 21 ESAM, and Mistake, Marss, Ally, who will all rank from 20-11 (at least one will be top 15)

  2. Aba has wins on Nairo (top 5) Captain Zack and Komorikiri, who will also be from 20-11 and at least one of them likely top 15. He also has wins on 21 (ESAM) and 43 (6WX)

....And at S+ Tiers,

  1. Ramin got 5 wins, Aba got 7. Ramin has a win over #1 ZeRo and win over top 10 in Void. He also has wins over #49 Zenyou, #34 Tsu and 25 MVD

  2. Aba has beaten #48 K9, #41 in falln, #32 Raito, #25 and #21 in MVD and ESAM, then WaDi who could be top 15 and Salem who is most likely #2

Things become a bit more confusing when we throw in A and B tiers.

A and B tier tourneys

-In regards to A tiers, Aba has wins on #32 and #24 in Raito and Lima. Mr. R has wins over #49 Zenyou, #23 in Manny and Ally (who is top 20)

-All three of Ramins wins came at IBP Masters (1376 value). Abas win over #32 Raito was at ARMS (1808), and over #24 Lima at West Side (1760)

-Their B tier performances are also of apparent closeness. Mr. R 5 wins total, on KENx2 (top 10, at 700 point Syndicate) and MK Leo (likely #3, at SF6 which had a value of 640). He also has a win on Cosmos (top 20) and on tyroy (#40). Both of these came at MM10, which had a value of 704

-Abas win over Salem came at the 842 valued DHD, his 2 wins on Kirihara (29) and 1 win over Choco (36) came at Umebura 27 (944). He took another win Choco at Umebura 29, and then got wins over over KEN (top 10) and Choco at Umebura 30. All three of these wins were at the 800 value, and total Aba posted 7 wins at B tiers this season

We can discuss placements, but after yesterdays smoking gun reveal of Konga at 30, I have the feeling that set counts seem to have a pretty noted predicting power of players final PGR rankings. So based on this, who do you think will end up the higher of the two? And do you think they will be #10 and #11 respectively?

Frostbite and Tokaigi are on the same weekend which explains why the lack of Japanese Talents

Had a discussion in discord about how none of the Japanese players signed up for frostbite yet and someone pointed it out that Tokaigi is on the same weekend as Frostbite.

So players who had qualified into Tokaigi already (KEN, Nietono, Choco, Kirihara, Rizesau, and Ron) are probably not coming to Frosbite. There's going to be an Umebura qualifier soon too.

They usually also have smashers invited (Nairo, Ally, ESAM, etc. in the past) so this could also explain why some of the PGR players haven't sign up yet.

Still looking forward to Frostbite but it's a shame that the theme of 2017 frostbite (Japanese players) won't really be happening this year due to event on the same weekend.
