Smashspiracy: ZeRo's etirement was a ploy by ESAM in order to become a top 5 player once again

With ZeRo no longer in the competitive smash 4 scene, we can only wonder what this will do to the meta. Who will it hurt...and who will it benefit.

ESAM used to be a household "who are the best players" name. Back in 2015, he was solidly number 3 and was even thought to be the one who could slay ZeRo for the first time. However, he slowly fell off, almost to the point of irrelevance. ESAM acted fine during this time, as his choice in persona was carefree and joyful. Little do we know of the anger and torment that ravaged his psyche. ESAM grinded day and night to slowly reach his way to his throne once again, and while it has been working to an extent, his lust for power became too much and it overcame his psyche. He knew the only way to become de best was to become the puppeteer of the clown show that is smash 4.

Here's how

What better way is there to change the top level meta than change the most influential player that dictates it. ESAM figured a long list of things that would happen with ZeRo out of the picture. First off, as ZeRo was known as the cloud slayer, Tweek and MKLeo would be unstoppable. With their rise, nairo, dabuz, ally, and samsora all fall off pretty hard, as those 2 players invalidate half the cast by their existence. Along with salem staying in similar position he has now, nairo is now irrelevant. With nairo gone, Mr. R and Void are now free to be stress free and never have to worry about nairo killing them off a grab at 0.

However, with a meta that is now oversaturated with clouds, bayos, and sheiks, sonic is left to do nothing but shrivel up and die. Ken slowly falls off as people begin to learn how to camp more and more effectively and kill sonic for ever pressing b.

Now you're probably wondering, how does this tie in with ESAM. If the fact that all of his worst matchups are now gone, and that hes begun to withold information on how to beat bayo from the public, this will. What other player has a persona of him. He's built himself up as an open opinionated person, who would never do something as convoluted and evil as this, and that's exactly what he wants you to think. This sounds like something fatality would do, which is why I say exactly; Fatality isnt even real.

If you have to go a little further, look at their YouTube channels. They're nearly identical and both start with each others signature catch phrase. ESAM's also trying to take ZeRo's viewership.

Open your eyes people. I like ESAM as much as the next guy, but I'll be damned if I let the meta take a huge hit of DLC and top tiers like this just because of one man's power trip. We need to stop ESAM's tirade, and find ZeRo. For all we know he could be trapped in a basement somwhere being forced to tweet, or he could've been assassinated and his body could be getting shipped back to chile at this very moment.

A DDD beat Wadi at our local last night.

To give some context, Wadi, Samsora, Biddy, and a few other notable players came to our San Antonio local to warm up for the Pax South Invitational. We have a (King Dedede) main by the name of Whiteout at #4 on our PR. I would say he's a top 5, maybe top 3 DDD.

Anyways, the tournament is going on and Wadi is seeded to face Whiteout. You would think that Wadi would win easy right? Wrong. Wadi goes (R.O.B.) game 1 but loses. That's not all though. Whiteout goes on to beat Deluxemenu (Bowser) (best solo Bowser) and manages to take a game from Samsora in winner finals mostly thanks to this jank https://clips.twitch.tv/AmericanSmellyKimchiSSSsss He unfortunately loses 1-3 to Samsora.

To top it off though, Wadi loses to KJ (Cloud) (Sonic) (who is #2 on our PR) 1-2 to get 7th at our local.

Also Megafox beat Biddy (Toon Link) and then Proto beat him with (Donkey Kong) of all characters in losers for what it's worth.

TIL Bayonetta’s shielding animation was changed in 1.1.5 so her legs are not spaced as far apart, which could cause thin grabs (e.g. most tethers) to miss.
