| It's 2018, we need better servers for Chinese Smite players. Posted: 02 Jan 2018 07:11 AM PST As of 17th January 2018, Tencent Smite will no longer open its doors for any play whatsoever... Tencent Smite to those of you that don't know, was the version of Smite dedicated to Chinese players. Currently, Tencent Smite is still in Season 3 and has been for the last year, with the latest update featuring just The Morrigan. I am a foreigner in China and started playing back at home on the NA servers on normal Smite. I discovered Tencent Smite in 2016 and the latency was much better than when playing on the NA server (obviously) I now play on the SEA server (due to Tencent Smite being out of date/shutting down), a server that is not inclusive of countries like India and China. When in game, I'm plagued by comments of lag from not just myself but other players. My Ping Level on a normal day is 242ms versus the 42ms on the Tencent server. I usually DC out of games and sometimes, I don't even sync into games. Please help us in 2018. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Smite 1000 Diamonds (Statistics) Posted: 02 Jan 2018 06:44 PM PST Hello SMITE Reddit, this is my first post on here, and I'd like to share some data: For just over a year, (from 12/04/16) I and a couple of my friends have been keeping track of every rank X god we saw. Now that we've finally hit 1000 diamonds I wanted to share the data with you. link to the xls file for those who want to mess with the data yourself First, I should mention that this was on PC. We logged masteries in a spreadsheet if we saw a person whose loading frame showed that they were a X with a god or if they were using a diamond skin (in the case that they were hiding their stats). However, we did not keep track of names (except our own and those of friends that we play with, so as to avoid excessive double counting) so there is a small possibility that we counted someone twice. Most of our games consisted of Arena, Assault, with some Joust and Clash. Siege, Conquest, and MOTD were rarely played. Note: I somehow managed to accidentally delete the data for Agni, so I can only confirm up to 7 Agnis from a previous copy of the document and my chat records. (Though at the same time, Agni wasn't particularly popular, and IIRC his numbers were not higher than 15; honestly he was somewhere between 9 and 11, but since I can't confirm that, I have left it as 7 in the document.) This was a fun experiment that started from a question on who was most mastered: Neith or Kukulkan (my friend having Neith as their first X god, and myself having Kukulkan). Now, I guess I have to admit defeat there, even though for a while it seemed like Neith would be 1st. I plan to continue this document, and will make another post when we hit 2000. | Posted: 02 Jan 2018 07:19 AM PST I have played smite for almost 3 years now up until recently i played mainly only joust ranked/casual with less than 20 games of conquest. I had found this experience to be extremely toxic and hostile constantly reported for basically nothing due to being a solo que matched with endless duo ques who cannot own up to their mistakes. I have in the last 2 months switched to 100% conquest after taking the time to learn the meta and proper roles and have found this to be an extremely welcoming experience. I have not had a single report and I also feel the levels of toxicity have dropped by 75% or more. So I guess I just wanted to say thank you to anyone I have encountered in my newfound conquest games for reinstating my love for smite! [link] [comments]  | ||
| Idea for a (probably broken) passive: Ghostwalker. Posted: 02 Jan 2018 09:54 AM PST Now before I get into the passive, feel free to tweak it in anyway or tell me how dumb it is. Anyways, the idea for my passive would be called something along the lines of Ghostwalker. It's affect? Whenever this god dies, their ghost ascends into the sky, the god then chooses a location to land (similar to Jing Wei ult or ao kuang ult) and their ghost fights for them. The ghost does 50% less damage to all enemies and takes 50% more damage from all sources. The ghost is only active until it is killed or until the god respawns. We'll probably NEVER see a passive like this, I just thought it was a really cool idea. Any thoughts? [link] [comments]  | ||

It's cheap, has health, ccr, etc. plus the passive is really good. 20% damage mitigation would be awesome on any god. I mean a few gods that could use this item off the top of my head would be Ravana and Osiris. They already have damage mitigation in there kit and this would only help that. I personally do not have an issue and I'm from a country with crappy ISPs. It's just not fun to wait 10-20 mins in queue for a game that has a DC or someone complaining about their lag.
