By Azura, I Got Platinum!

Looks like that Sabre Cat attacked a Khajiit Caravan. "What about all the arrows in them?" Probably nothing.

Favorite companion?

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 05:20 AM PST

I certainly haven't come across all the options for companions, yet, but I'm guessing Marcurio must be one of the best. Dude consistently wrecks enemies with lightning before I can even get close to them. I've never seen him stumble due to low health (granted, I have him decked out in baller armor). His carrying weight also seems to be higher than others, unless I'm imagining that. Who's your favorite companion?

The Brutality of a Stealth Archer

A dragon, a Jarl and a Giant fighting.

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 08:00 PM PST

This is why you play skyrim

In your personal opinion what do you consider an exploit?

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 05:31 AM PST

I understand the definition of an exploit but have noticed the past few days me and my friend in particular differ heavily from what we will and won't do, for example I'm completely against doing any exploits because the moment I do I feel I've ruined the sense of achievement. I can't even do the shop vendor reset quick trick without being annoyed at myself (I hate having this trait but can't shake it) where as my friends will level their skills up with the methods like hitting your horse or Ralof/Hadvar etc. I'm just interested how many people are like myself and the opposite. And do you enjoy being that way? I hate being like it but I can't shake It

Falkreath Hold is breathtaking

Morndas, 10:11 PM, 16th of Sun's Dawn: I fear that the cabbages are multiplying at an exponential rate.

I really hate how dumb the Npc is

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 07:01 PM PST

Like

How you will kill everyone in a room and hide and the NPC comes in and says

"Is someone there"

And walks into the room TO FIND HIS COMRADES SLAUGHTERED VISCOUSLY I MIGHT ADD

and shrugs it off.

Or

how they will just walk past them dead and not immediately rally the troops to hunt you down.

Vent over

Edit: I'm not sick of the game nor do I have any intentions of playing other games.

Just a (stupid) question

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 05:26 AM PST

I haven't played skyrim for years, can you still become a "vanilla" vampire even with the dawnguard dlc? With vanilla I mean vampirism as a disease(?).

Esbern's Dragon Hunting is disappointing

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 06:59 AM PST

Prior to rebuilding the Blades, I have visited all the dragon lairs. I didn't know that doing so would prevent Esbern from sending out Hunting missions. I thought it would just be a radiant quest.

This is a shame, because I have assembled a pretty good Blades team, and I want to at least have a few fights together with them. If not, then killing Paarthunax would be too much of a waste.

Is there any mod that fixes this problem, for SSE?

Why are one handed weapons so weak when used by the player?

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 05:17 AM PST

I have ran in to random encounter with the bandits posing as imperial soldiers. I tired to fight them with a Shield & Sword, but Dawnbreaker proved to be useless.

I barely did any damage what so ever to them.

I got angry, and with console commads, buffed my self to One-Handed 100 and bought all five dmage perks.

Now, I tried my Nordic Sword, that was doing 32 damage per hit, or at least that's what the inventory screen told me.

It took me 25 hits to kill a badit in the puniest little imperial armor.

I also observed that while I have around 400 HP, a bandit wtih a dagger can easily cut off a a 6th of it with one hit.

Sooo... What gives?

I thought my first dragon in the wild, and Farkas said "I'm getting out of here!!" And took off.

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 04:08 PM PST

He didn't come back until it was dead. The fucker is my shield brother in the Companions, my follower, and my God damn husband! I actually laughed out loud when he jetted. I ended up fighting the dragon by myself with a single random Whiterun guard. Does he always do that when a dragon appears, lol?

6 years after release, I still think that Lucan is talking about his penis, when you deliver the Golden Claw

Posted: 23 Jan 2018 12:22 PM PST

It's too perfect.

"You found it? Ha ha ha. There it is. Stange... it seems smaller than I remembered. Funny thing, huh? I'm going to put this back where it belongs. I'll never forget this. You've done a great thing for me and my sister."

The eye of magnus and the college of winterhold emblem

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 04:43 AM PST

The Eye of Magnus and the College of Winterhold emblem

It just occured to me while looking at the emblem, on the tower of the College of Winterhold. The orb with an eye in the middle and also how the orb is opening up (as if it was broken into pieces) to reveal an eye inside. This really reminded me of the Eye of Magnus.

Both have the keyword eye in it. Both are an orb that can open up like it was in broken pieces.

I read somewhere, a THEORY that explained how the Augur of Dunlain was Shalidor (the first Archmage) because he was infused with the magic within the college, therefore he was the magic Shalidor infused within the College to protect it (from danger/disaster such as the Great Collapse.)

While I DO NOT BELIEVE the Augur of Dunlain was Shalidor, the Augur being infused with Shalidor's magic (knowledge) made somewhat sense to me.

The Augur called the orb you found in Saarthal, the Eye of Magnus.

What if Shalidor knew of the Eye and thats why the Augur knows what to call the orb.

The wizards at the college were certainly shocked when they heard that you had talked to the Augur and that he spesifically called it, the Eye of Magnus, when referring to the orb. Maybe Shalidor modeled the emblem of his College after the Eye. Maybe that is why the Staff of Magnus is within the ruins he (partly) constructed, Labyrinthian.

I believe it is all connected. The Eye of Mangus and the College (atleast the emblem, the Eye in an orb), the Staff of Magnus and Labyrinthian. Both are connected to Shalidor.

If you disagree with the Augur being able to know this through him being a part of the energy that flows through the College, then you can argue that he found this out during the time he was alive, being the "brilliant student" that he was.

PS: I am sorry if this has already been brought up.

PSS: I am sorry for my spelling mistakes and other grammatical errors. I am writing this while playing Skyrim after I just had noticed it. I have edited my post after first posting it, so that it is easier to read

Let me know your thoughts, maybe this can give us clues as to what the Augur is. Or what he did (what he found out) to become what he is today.

Some guidance please?

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 07:51 AM PST

Ok so I've tried to play this game twice and havnt had much luck. So many things about the game are appealing, the setting, the weapons, the creatures etc. BUT. I seem to either suck or I'm doing it wrong. Each time I've tried this game I seem over my head. I don't know what missions I should try complete before others and I'm not sure of the weapon/armour capabilities. I always seem to run into loads of enemies that make shit of me (One lad launched me into outer space). Is there a good guide that could get me started until I get used to what I'm doing? Or even any tips on how to utilise the gear I get?
