Simple Solution to Hackers

Hey guys,

I hear a lot of people talking about region locking China, which although would probably help USEast is just kind of kicking the can down the road so that it rears it's head once again in a few months.

Chinese servers would still have a lot of hacking, and of course NA players are not immune from hacking either.

My proposal, is to introduce a new game mode called "Unranked" and make the existing game mode called "Ranked.

By default the ranked mode is disabled and you cannot play in it. In order to unlock the ranked mode, you need 10 hours of game play in the UnRanked game mode.

The heart of the matter, is that hackers barrier to entry is the following:

  1. Copy of PUBG game
  2. Acquire Hacks

Currently, hackers are probably getting copies of PUBG from hacked accounts, and/or seemingly unlimited funds in the form of stolen credit cards. When they get banned, they are not being faced with the economic barrier to entry.

So, what is the solution to this problem?

  • Introduce another barrier to entry, Time Invested

Force them to play a certain number of hours of game play, without getting banned before they can play with more serious people.

This will, of course cause the UnRanked servers to be more casual and will probably have a higher population of hackers in it. However, the bleedover to the ranked version will be greatly depressed.

Bluehole could also multi-purpose this "Unranked" mode to test server side changes before pushing them to the "Ranked" version. It could also double as a kind of "Test Server" directly within PUBG without having to download an entirely new client.
