| Changing races of your assistant banker and merchant. Posted: 20 Jan 2018 04:09 PM PST I think it would be nice, similar to Final Fantasy 14's retainers, to be able to change the race and even customize the appearance of your assistant banker and merchant. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] | ||

| "Casual" player, just completed the main Orsinium questline and I'm so happy Posted: 20 Jan 2018 04:37 AM PST I apologize in advance for the long story ahead, but I really wanted to share this with someone: Got ESO as a birthday present to myself in October last year, and I've been playing on and off ever since. This is my first ever MMO. Bethesda is the sole reason for my being introduced to gaming as a whole - I accidentaly stumbled upon a YouTube Let's Play Skyrim video one day and fell irrevocably in love with this amazing world they've created over there. After only playing through Oblivion and Skyrim (and the Fallout games), ESO has been kind of a challenge for me: not being able to adjust the difficulty to Novice (ha!) or to go into a menu to pause time, ingest some health potions and figure out what to do next was genuinely disconcerting for awhile. So, I basically jumped right into it and tried to do the best I could. Made a Bosmer Stamina Templar, 'cuz that's what I felt like doing, picked up the first greatsword I set my eyes upon and started desperately searching for any Heavy Armor pieces (for me, the higher the number in the armor's description = a higher chance I'll actually bloody LIVE to complete the quests). And that's what I've basically been doing up to this point. Completing quests, figuring out what skills to invest points into, getting crafting writs done, going from province to province, but staying the hell away from any skull symbol-bearing monstrosities, of course. I didn't get into any guilds or PvP (or create any other characters), just been on my own, switching from quest reward to quest reward in terms of gear, and watching other players, in flashy costumes and with Champion Points in the hundreds, sprint past me, zapping enemies into Aetherius in less than two seconds. And I've been having a blast with it. Today, at level 34, I managed to win the final fight of the main plotline in Orsinium. It was really damn tough, though. Anything that had been thrown at me so far in this game, I could handle more or less fine, but not these two bloody guys. I succeeded on maybe my 6th or 7th try, surviving by the skin of my teeth, with Health-supplementing food and lots of rolling around trying to avoid being slaughtered. But I did it, and I'm kinda proud of myself. Gained my first ever costume, even, and my first title that I, of course, enabled immediately afterwards. Now I can't wait to see what the other DLC have in store for me! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 20 Jan 2018 11:58 AM PST That DLC was example of quality. Really felt good playing it, ones after it didn't feel very worthy of the asking price. I guess Zenimax couldn't half-ass it back in the day while reputation was still bad (or at least worse). [link] [comments] | ||

| [Question] What are the best zones for doing Dolmen? Posted: 20 Jan 2018 09:48 PM PST I've noticed that Auridon always seems to have a lot of players going between the three dolmen, with much of the zone chat being about invites to dolmen groups. But this is the only zone that I have found to do this, are there any other zones that are this active with Dolmen? [link] [comments] | ||
| [Media] Check out 'TheExploringSeries' on YouTube for an excellent source of history and lore Posted: 21 Jan 2018 12:54 AM PST His most recent content is a thorough collection of over 40 different videos, each roughly 10 minutes long. They cover races, regions, Daedric Princes, Divines, and important people/monsters. Very binge-worthy. [link] [comments] | ||
| Returning to the game, advice on healer sets? Posted: 20 Jan 2018 10:19 PM PST Just looking for some info on this, currently all I have is a gold set of Julianos. What Jewelry or armour/weapon sets can I get to push me back into vet dungeons? Not looking for anything crazy like Trial level yet. [link] [comments] | ||
| What do you think about Guild "Locations"? Posted: 20 Jan 2018 04:50 PM PST I was thinking about this in reference to guilds and how they can have a bigger "impact" on the world without breaking anything. Something I thought up of is the concept of Guild Locations. Basically, they act similar to homesteads. Instanced versions of locations that can be decorated. The difference is that guilds can own these locations to the point where if random players visit them, they'll be able to visit the owning guilds version of it. These locations would have access to typical town things (vendors, stations, etc). In order to acquire one, the game will calculate a guilds "performance" each week. Depending on the location will impact this. For example, there would be locations that are underground. Caves, DB sanctuary, etc. To gain ownership of these, your guild members need to actively perform assassinations for a DB style location or thievery for a Thieves Guild style location. When you make your "bid" on the location, it tallies up all the guilds who bid on it and the joint performance of each member. So if everyone in the DB style guild performs assassinations and DB style activities a lot through the week, they have a high performance score. When they bid, the game compares it to other bidders and determines the highest performance score the winner for that week. If you lose, you still have an instanced version of the homestead that we have now. Just it isn't "in the open", so to speak. You can throw in some special buffs for it too. Like the owning guild gains more exp or gold from DB style activities/assassinations. You can have a lot of themes based around this. Killing Daedra/Undead/WW/Bounties for one special location for a Fighter's Guild theme. Maybe something similar for Mages Guild. Killing enemies/devouring for a WW themed location. Something similar for Vampires. Gold accumulated for a trading themed guild. Amount of items crafted for a crafting themed location. Thieves guild style location. Undaunted/Dungeoneer style location based on the amount of dungeons/bosses killed. Cyrodiil style locations for PvPers based on accumulated score in that. Battleground similar story. The list goes on. Vvanderfell location based on activities done in Vvanderfell content. Each location would have a waypoint in front of it, making it easy for random players to come visit it. Thoughts? [link] [comments] | ||
| vMoL - Rakkhat - Magicka Warden - 52.6k / 46.5k DPS [Clockwork City] Posted: 20 Jan 2018 08:24 AM PST My first somewhat clean run through a trial with my Mag Warden build. I think with better performance from me, nearer to 50k is possible. Obviously not the strongest DPS spec, but still capable of clearing the content. Take away the bear, though, and Mag Warden DPS goes from "meh" to worse, which I wish weren't the case. [link] [comments] | ||
| When can I start doing Trials? Posted: 20 Jan 2018 06:18 PM PST Might be a stupid question, if it is, I apologize. When is it best to start doing trials? I hear most of them are pretty damn difficult end game content, so am I correct in assuming they're best to do when you're around the CP cap? [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 21 Jan 2018 01:19 AM PST I leveled magicka nightblade for pvp purpose. Can someone recommend good pvp build that would work cyridiil/battlegrounds? [link] [comments] | ||
| Bought one race change token right at the end of the sale, what race should I change my NB to? Posted: 21 Jan 2018 01:16 AM PST Hi Reddit! I'm a CP 660 Magblade coming back to the game after a 5 month break due to school. Primarily i preside in PVP (solo/small scale) and have mained a high elf magblade since launch. I love my magblade and I pretty much have every skill tree fully maxed out outside of provisioning and enchanting. 300+ skill points the last I check with most of the achievements outside vet trials and the new content. Anyway... I've been getting an itch to switch things up and play a stamblade after playing a magblade for so long. I already have a build planned out (1pc Veli, 5 Eternal Hunt, 5 Bone Pirate, 2h/Bow with dubious) and all I need to either race change or level another character. I've thought about leveling another character but then realized how long it takes to level everything including FG, weapon trees, undaunted, alliance etc. I've been through it with 3 other chars (Sorc, DK and Templar) and definitely felt the burn after a ton of grinding. Also, I no longer have the time (or ingame money lol) to do all that like I did before and would prefer to spend my time doing what I love in MMOs which is pvping. So I got this race change token sitting here. All I've ever really known is high elf (literally all my chars are high elfs lol) and thus am a little ignorant on the other races, despite the stats obviously being out there. Which race do you believe to be most beneficial if I'd like to possibly switch back and forth between mag/stam nb for pvp? Thanks :D [link] [comments] | ||
| What to spend gold on? Are houses worth it? Posted: 20 Jan 2018 02:59 PM PST So i started playing eso a couple months ago and came across a large sum of gold due to an aetheric cipher. Other than the obvious like buying gear when i reach cp 160, i don't really know what to spend my gold on. I've seen houses before and i don't know to much about them so I'm hesitant to invest in one. Should i just save my gold?? Open to suggestions. [link] [comments] | ||
| Weapon recommendation for orc magblade healer/tank RP Posted: 20 Jan 2018 06:44 PM PST Apologies that the title is such a word salad. I have recently started a new character (number 5 for me!), an orc who I want to play as a 'bloodmage', chaotic evil type of character. She is a magicka nightblade and will mostly be nightblade-skills-based, rather than weapon skills. Ideally I'd like to be able to play her as a healer or a tank (which would obviously require swapping out skills/weapons/armour depending on role). I originally envisioned the character with dual daggers (as well as resto staff), just because she's the sneaky stabby type and it seemed to fit the aesthetic. I don't care much about min-maxing, but is there really any point to having a magicka-based character and using anything but a staff? Maybe just for the extra gear slot? Will I have enough magicka sustain without staff heavy attacks? I'm also wondering if sword and shield (puncture) is absolutely required to be a halfway decent tank. Is it enough to use other taunts (e.g. ice staff, the fighter's guild AOE) or is that shield really required for damage mitigation? What about armour for a magblade tank - heavy chest/legs, light everything else? At the moment I'm sort of levelling up a bit of everything so that I can switch things around to suit the role. At some point I'd like to turn her vampire as well. TLDR: What are the must-have skills, weapons and armour for a magblade tank/healer? Thank you for your input. :D [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 20 Jan 2018 08:49 PM PST So, from what I understand, the sets are x5 julianos x4 Moondancer and x2 valkyn skoria. I also see a lot of people always wanting the moondancer inferno staff. Could I run a Juli fire staff and moon body piece, since the moon staff is so hard to come by? Or does the staff do something I'm not aware of? Or is it just cosmetic preference? | Posted: 20 Jan 2018 06:21 AM PST I've been farming legerdemain materials for about a week across several characters. I'm consistently seeing people try to snatch up all the sheep before anyone else can and this just baffles me. These aren't new players who don't understand the loot system. The 9 people I've watched do this and called out are on their 690 guys so I think it's fair to assume they know that grouping when you're farming zero-XP legerdemain mats is the wiser course of action because competing for sheep guts is just the platonic form of stupid. My belief these people are just assholes is only reinforced when I confront them about ignoring the groups they are literally standing right in front of them, grabbing new people using plain old /say to ask "group?" or "invite?" and yet they run around competing for fucking SHEEP GUTS. Is it a congenital thing? Or is this some kind of attitude that gets inculcated from grinding trials or some such bullshit? [link] [comments] | ||
| What to replace Black Rose with? Posted: 21 Jan 2018 12:13 AM PST I have a golden out set of black rose on my cp690 pvp stamsorc and spent a ton of money on it. Is it now such a bad set that it needs to be replaced no matter what or is it still helpful? Would shackle-beaker, knights errand, or seventh legion perform better than full gold black rose? Thanks for the help! [link] [comments] |
