Who else would love a return to Termina as the sequel to BOTW? Posted: 28 Dec 2017 08:57 AM PST Majora's Mask has always been my favorite LOZ game. It conjures up a suspenseful, dark atmosphere like nothing else I've ever played before or since, and the world of Termina just felt so creepy and topsy-turvy. I would love to revisit Termina in a sequel to BOTW. A Termina-centered sequel with the same game engine, character models and assets as BOTW has a lot of potential to be something extraordinary. It would be a way to expand the franchise on the Switch without too much retreading of the same territory they covered in BOTW. Maybe Link falls into a portal to a parallel dimension and doesn't know how to get back. He happens to arrive right on the eve of the Festival of Time and finds himself transformed into a spritely little Korok. Being that thousands of years would have passed since child Link went to Termina, I'd first expect to see a highly advanced civilization and a Clock City rather than a Clock Town. Termina doesn't have Ganon coming around and ruining civilization every few hundred years, so they would be able to progress technologically like a normal society would. Whereas BOTW was focused on exploring the wilderness, I could see a MM sequel being focused on exploring a centralized urban area in much the same way. How awesome would an industrial-age Clock City with the vibe of a steampunk Victorian London be? And after looking at what they were able to do with Hyrule, Clock City could be a truly massive undertaking. Using the BOTW engine would allow it to be an awe-inspiring size, filled with side quests and colorful characters. The mask mechanic could also return with more depth added and other transformations. Maybe this time around, Link could transform into monsters and other races like the Korok and Rito. As for a plot, something centered around an alien invasion (like the Romani Ranch sidequest from the original MM) would be pretty awesome. Maybe you have to assemble some kind of ancient Terminian weapon capable of stopping them before they conquer Termina. Thoughts & opinions? [link] [comments] |

Just beat Ocarina of Time, my first Legend of Zelda game, on the 3DS Posted: 28 Dec 2017 06:04 AM PST I got it for free with the ds and Pokémon sun 6 months ago, and really only got into it the past week or so. Plowed through it, but of course got stumped in a couple of places. My favorite part of the game was honestly the soundtrack: Gerudo Valley, Ganondorf's organ playing, even the little melodies played on the Ocarina that evolve into full orchestral pieces. Mix this with atmospheric beauty, challenging gameplay, and it is certainly a game I will play again and encourage others to play. (Especially since there's a "Master Quest" version, whatever that means!) Thanks Nintendo for redoing a beautiful game that I otherwise would probably never have the chance to play. Posted: 28 Dec 2017 09:10 AM PST Just, where do I start? I've only been playing for three days, and I have so many amazing experiences already! From beating my first Divine beast, to meeting the Gorons! And because this is a Zelda title, I knew I had to go and get the Master Sword and Hylian Shield too. I learned from word of mouth that the shield was easier to get, and when I beat Stalnox and grabbed the shield, that iconic sound just moved me. Then someone suggested that I needed thirteen heart containers before I go and grab the Master sword, and that was one hell of a journey for shrines. Navigating the Lost woods took a significant amount of time (until it clicked in my head to use a torch) and then coming upon the Master Sword was a trip. Managing to pull it out though? Pretty sure I could have caused a noise complaint if the neighbors were home. The sheer amount of joy I've gotten from this game is unreal, and I know this won't be my last Zelda game. I've still got my GameBoy Advance SP and DS Lite in working order. What other Zelda games do you guys recommend I play? [link] [comments] |

Need some help w/100% for BoTW Posted: 28 Dec 2017 08:35 AM PST I am currently at 98.28% completion and I need some help or guidance/advice. I have 891 Korok seeds out of 900, and those count as 0.08% each. 9 Korok seeds only amounts to 0.72% more being added on to my original percentage. This will bring the percentage up to 99%. However, I have looked at several different maps online and cannot see where the 9 missing seeds are located. The one at (https://www.zeldadungeon.net/breath-of-the-wild-interactive-map/?lat=0.8976&lng=0.7112) has been helpful, but I cannot seem to find these last 9 seeds. Is there any in-game system for finding them? For example, like in Twilight Princess how you could see where missing heart pieces were by speaking with the fortune teller lady, I'm wondering if there is an in-game NPC to speak with regarding this. I realize that locations count toward overall percentage, and this is where I am confused. I have found several guides online that list the locations that need to be found on the map in order to 100% the game. According to these different websites, I have visited each place and their names now exist on my map. This is the one I have used (http://www.ign.com/wikis/the-legend-of-zelda-breath-of-the-wild/Locations_by_Region). I have visited each place on there, and I am not sure what the last 1% missing comprises since the Korok seeds will only get me to 99%. Please let me know if there are definitive lists of these things that I am not seeing or if you have general advice for completing this last part. Thank you! [link] [comments] |
Anyone get anything from the ThinkGeek Breath of the Wild clothing line? Posted: 28 Dec 2017 10:26 AM PST Was thinking about getting one of the panchos ffor my sister and the champion's tunic sweaters for myself, but from the images I've seen they don't really look like they're worth what they're being sold for. Can't seem to find any reviews anywhere either. [link] [comments] |
How should I play the Oracle games? Posted: 28 Dec 2017 09:55 AM PST Are they like Pokemon where the two versions are basically the same or are they different? If so what game should I play first? [link] [comments] |
Sav'Vaaq...Sav'Saaba...I want the juicy lore of why the Gerudo are only women and Ganons birth Posted: 27 Dec 2017 06:10 PM PST Maybe even a standalone Sheikah game! So much unexplored amazingness. The bloody history of Hyrule as told in the shadow temple...how the Gorons came to be. And as the title suggests, an explanation of how and why the Gerudo are solely women. [link] [comments] |
Should there be a future Zelda game where someone actually shatters the Master Sword? Posted: 27 Dec 2017 11:39 PM PST Now, I don't mean how it loses power in BotW; I mean Link getting the Master Sword, but then the sword is actually broken/shattered and has to be remade. Before you say "it can't be broken by evil", it doesn't have to be. Maybe a mage ala Lana hits it with a stray spell (pure Arcane power isn't necessarily evil) or something else happens, but it'd be foolish to think the sword is completely indestructible. Would this be something you'd like to have happen in a future Zelda title? [link] [comments] |

My journey to the Shee Venath shrine was amazing Posted: 28 Dec 2017 03:59 AM PST For reference, I started playing yesterday and I am about 5 hours in. I had just finished the shrine below it where you had to use your ice power to jump over a bunch of harmful weeds, and then climbed up the very tall ladder across the bridge near it. I spotted this shrine out with my scope and asked myself how the frick I was going to get there. I looked to my left (towards the southeast part of the southern Dueling Peak), saw a climbable part of the mountain that I loosely estimated would be fit for my current stamina wheel (only one buff so far), and then I went on my journey. The journey to the top was amazing. The music as I watched Link climb, the view behind me of Ash Swamp surrounded by other beautiful sights that I have yet to journey, the thrilling sense of not knowing what my next path up would be but that I would figure it out somehow. I even saw a mountain goat turn invisible! Once I got to the top of the right peak of the southern Dueling Peaks (the lower of the two on the south peak), I flew my paraglider over the river and onto the other peak. It was a green field atop this mountain that inhabited beautiful plants and a gorgeous sight. But I wasn't done here. I need to get to the top of the norther Dueling Peak, then drop down onto the Shee Venath shrine. A minute later, I got to the top... then I saw the shrine on top of the southern peak! I don't think there is any way I can get there now with my stamina and without better equipment and clothes (I wanted to take more screenshots when I got to the top of the Northern Peak, but I was taking too much damage). Finally, I dropped onto Shee Venath shrine, and I have just entered it. I cannot wait to see what the rest of this game has in store for me. Wow, that was incredible. [link] [comments] |

The 5 Problems in Breath of the Wild Posted: 28 Dec 2017 06:38 AM PST |
I just started Breath of the wild and am a bit confused. Posted: 28 Dec 2017 06:13 AM PST So I met with the scientist in Hateno and returned to Impa. She told me to free the Divine Beasts. I have 4 dots on my map. Should I just approach one of the dots or do you recommend loading up on supplies, weapons, arrows, etc. Also, I've done a bunch of shrines. Am I better off upgrading my health or stamina? I have 8 orbs. Thanks. [link] [comments] |
