Something I noticed about Link, Zelda, and Ganon Posted: 05 Dec 2017 02:24 AM PST Ganon is the same person in all the games, but his apperance and personality differ from game to game, while Link and Zelda are different people in each game, but their apperance and personalities largely stay the same. Posted: 05 Dec 2017 04:33 AM PST I listen to the YouTube song "1 Hour of Relaxing Zelda: Breath of the Wild Music" probably every day at work. It's been a long time since I've played a game that the music can send me back like that. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Dec 2017 05:03 AM PST So, not all races are present in all Zelda games. But in some, these races are explicitly said to have died out. Which races have suffered this fate in which games? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 05 Dec 2017 04:28 AM PST Hello. Recently i was listening for Rito Village (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nlg43w1aK8M) (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmbhSSMIYiY) and remembered that Ghibli movies have almost exactly same music. Firstly i thought about Kiki's Delivery Post, but i haven't found anything sounds familiar to Rito's Viallage OST. Maybe someone else will found what rito's village ost are similar to ghibli movie music (Howl's Moving Castle etc)? [link] [comments] |

[QUESTION][BOTW] I just purchased a Switch and Zelda and the DLC Posted: 05 Dec 2017 06:47 AM PST From what I read online and on youtube, you should be able to use the medallion multiple times. But when I try to place my second spot, The first one gets deleted. I don't understand why do I have to do something? [link] [comments] |
In my opinion Breath of the Wild has the most emotional story. Posted: 04 Dec 2017 04:26 PM PST This has been on my mind for a while and when I beat Breath of the Wild for the first time and I watched the credits roll, I felt all sorts of emotions and I said to myself. Whoa that was quite a surge of emotions. I loved the story, no I'm actually dead serious I can't remember the last time I've been invested in the plot of a Legend of Zelda game. It was a roller coaster of emotions, from that first scene where Link runs across the Great Plateau, this is the story of a hero that has lost his memory and he wanders this vast almost destroyed kingdom, seeking answers to what has happened in his absence. This is the first Zelda game since both Ocarina of time and WindWaker that almost got me to cry at several scenes, the Post Vah Ruta scene where Mipha wonders if her father is doing okay. Zelda breaking down in Link's memories being unable to tap into the power that has been passed down through the Royal Family. Zelda begging a critically injured Link not to die on her just tugged at my heartstrings and poor Zelda really went through a lot in this game. There's also the though that Link is alone he has no companion except for the Sheikah slate in all other Zelda games he has had someone by his side, but this time it's just him alone, travelling through through a desolated Hyrule with the single thought that Link failed in his mission to stop the Calamity one hundred years ago and all of Hyrule has paid the price. All four of the Champions when you see them in flashbacks they all had their ambitions and they all shared the same goal in stopping Calamity Ganon, but they all perished and when you enter the Divine Beasts, you can tell that Link is holding onto a faint hope, that there's a small chance that they're still alive, but after killing the Blight Ganon and meeting the Champions spirit, that hope's been crushed. Also the true ending when you regain all of Link's memories and the camera pans up and you see the spirits of the four champions and King Rhoam ascending to the heavens and Link and Zelda setting out to Zoras Domain to investigate why Vah Ruta has stopped working. That last shot with the Silent Princesses just blossiming in the field just put a smile on my face and it gives the impression that if a near extinct flower can make a comeback, then it's a sign that someday Hyrule will be able to regain it's former glory and become a flourishing land once more. A respectful and fact-hardened argument about which reincarnation of Link is the strongest! Posted: 04 Dec 2017 07:14 PM PST Ready GO! (Only canon appearances. No Hyrule Warriors Link etc) [link] [comments] |
I just finished my first TLoZ game: ALttP! Posted: 04 Dec 2017 10:17 PM PST Well, it is obvious I have nothing to compare it to since its my first Zelda game but was it good? YES! It was brilliant and I enjoyed every bit of it even if some parts are annoying. The atmosphere and the music are fantastic but that is nothing new to you guys here; I just want to celebrate! Also I wanna ask about the things I missed: First is the silent thief in the desert. I saw, in the end credits on the desert area, a special looking red chest, but when I went there after, there is no chest. Or my guess is wrong. Second is the lumberjack who likes riddles. Im guessing these two are part of side quests for the two items/weapons I am missing in my inventory. I will be playing Minish Cap next. I can't wait! [link] [comments] |

Just finished Phantom Hourglass Posted: 04 Dec 2017 09:27 PM PST I'm continuing my spree of Zelda. Completed BoTW, then LTTP. Was going to do OoT, but a lot of travel around the holidays made a handheld a better option. Phantom Hourglass was actually pretty good. Not so good that I plan to play it ever again, but I liked it enough to recommend it to people who already own a comparable system. My only real gripe was the controls. I was a fan of being able to mark on my map and how that function was utilized in the puzzles, but Jesus, the battles we're either too easy or difficult based on the controls. The final boss sequence was unforgiving if you didn't use the controls perfectly, which didn't really fit the large majority of gameplay. I'll still make time for OoT, but I'm doing Spirit Tracks now and waiting for the BoTW dlc. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 04 Dec 2017 12:07 PM PST Just wanted to share, if you have a 2 year old daughter that loves adventures and swords and stories, consider telling her the plot of a Zelda game. I started with Ocarina of Time earlier this week, and she asks "Tell story of Link" about 12 times a day. You're welcome. [link] [comments] |
