Well then. Just found out how to join the Thieves Guild without getting Brand-Shei arrested (SPOILER)

Forgive me if this is common knowledge, but it surprised me. Strolling through Riften at level 1 (I'd chosen to arrive at Windhelm via ship with Life Another Life, then changed my mind and hopped a carriage down south). Brynjolf approached me, I agreed to play along with his plan. However I suddenly realized I had zero lockpicks on me. So while he gave his spiel, I ran down to the Pawned Prawn and purchased the only pick they have in stock.

I toddled on back to the marketplace, expecting everyone to still be gathered around Brynjolf's booth, but they're just going about their day. Confused, I approached Brynnie, and he proceeds to chew me out and bitch that nothing's gone right for the guild for a while now. He then kinda half-heartedly invited me down to meet the rest of the gang in the Ratway.

*mind-blown gesture*

Jealous that in Fallout 4, Codsworth says your name? Fear not just name your Skyrim character the same as your Race.

Is there a way to destroy an item in an immersive way?

Posted: 17 Dec 2017 07:22 AM PST

I am playing as a druid and I am doing the Blessings of Nature quest. I am clearly going to go with the pray option to get the eldergleam sapling, but now my character is left with Nettlebane, this evil enemy of nature. I know I, as a player, could use console commands, or sell it, or put it on an animal corpse and wait for the game to delete it. But, as a character, I want to either destroy this item or hide it somewhere that will never be found again. I am willing to perform a self-imposed quest to throw it into the most inaccessible place in the game. Is there some crevice, some Crack of Doom anyone could point me toward?

TLDR Is there a RP friendly way to destroy an item and, if not, where in game could my character place Nettlebane so that no other person in the world would ever find it again.
