TL;DR: Castle doesn't need an operator buff. Just remote deployment of Castle-Cades.

I don't necessarily think we need to buff Castle as a operator or his barricades directly (I.E. No need to make it stronger or Glaz proof) but rather the WAY he deploys them.

I feel the reason he doesn't seem/feel more "viable" is the fact that he still needs to place them normally like any other barricade. I think Castle's defensive and offense slowing capabilities could be accentuated with remote deployment.

I understand that you're "supposed" to do all the setting up during the set up phase, but with the peeking and roaming meta Castle needs to wait for everyone to finish up what they wanna do before he can set up. But if they allowed him to put a bar/blinds thing above the window/door and when he needs the barricade he just puts his cross hair above or near it and hits the gadget button again then it drops down like a curtain or blinds. This would open up for more attacker tempo disruption as well as keeping things out of the way for your fellow defenders during the set-up phase. Maybe even a new peeking meta with Castle using an open window to peek and then leaving and closing it behind him. From there it just works like any old Castle-Cade. Once rolled out it can't be rolled back up so once you choose to deploy it, it stays.

This could also open more interactions with IQ, Twitch, Thatcher with Castle.

by removing this, attackers will be more encouraged to actually save their drones and not get greedy with points and get their drones destroyed, and I don't understand what's the purpose for these 5 points, seems pointless to me (no pun intended).

Operator Idea: General Sosnovka

Dimitry Aleksandr Sosnovka, born in 1921, Moscow, attended the 2. World War as a lieutenant in "команда стрелков 3.1 (Rifleman Squad 3.1)", which fought against Germans in Western Front. In that war, Sosnovka learned the genius Soviet war strategy - "You can't lose, if you have more soldiers than the enemy has bullets".

General Sosnovka is 1 armor and 1 speed because he is old as fuck. He has only a pistol since... well u know... he is a general and... duh...

He is an attacker, and his abilities are:

"Armeyskoye Podrazdeleniye 76", translated to "Army Division 76". How it works, is that Sosnovka shouts "COMRADES, STALIN POTRYASAYUSHCHIY!!!" which releases 10 000 poorly armed angry Soviet rifleman bots, who start rushing into the objective, destroying everything in front of them. They don't have good training... or good equipment... but... oh hell there is lot of them...

His second ability is "Minometnyy Udar", trainslated to "Mortar Strike". What this does, is that you basically call an Mortar Strike. The Mortar Strike kills mostly your own soldiers, but it also destroys 2/3 of the objective building. The sacrifices must be done, in Soviet army you will never run out of soldiers.

His third ability is a "Vrag Pravitel'stva", which translates to "Enemy of the Government". Whit this ability you can send your real player teammates (not-bots), to gulag. You won't need a reason because every less friendly is a one less threat to Stalin's power. What this does is that it kicks the player from the game, and makes him unable to play anymore, but only shows a red screen with "Коммунизм - это единица власти", ("Communism is the Unit of Power"), and plays you the Soviet Union national anthem every time you open the game.

This operator costs 0 renown, because in true communism nothing has a price.
