Romania’s flag done with gyms Posted: 01 Dec 2017 07:29 AM PST Tl;dr Romania's blue/yellow/red flag using gyms on national day: https://imgur.com/gallery/nAZcf December 1st is Romania's National Day. Our flag is blue, yellow, red: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flag_of_Romania PoGo comunity from Cluj-Napoca decided, inspired by Zagreb and Berlin instinct teams, to do a common action, paint the flag using gyms :): west on blue, center in yellow, east on red. The result is here: https://imgur.com/gallery/nAZcf The idea appeared more than a month before, plenty of time to reach most of our local trainers, so yesterday a large majority cope with designated colors. Only 3-5 trainers per team were needed in the evening to adjust some remote ones or the odd ones taken by some loone wolfs. Even the spoofers understood what we want and only 2 of them made small moves overnight, but easily repaired in the morning. Right now, almost 20 hours later, the ladscape still matches the flag:); we will start the nirmal gym routine in about 4 hours from now, 8pm our time. Feeling proud today Posted: 01 Dec 2017 08:58 AM PST Months ago I meticulously updated the five square miles around my house in OSM. PROPERLY. Following the rules of OSM. As a rural player this was fairly easy but required some local knowledge. Today it paid off because now instead a few four roads that roughly matched reality I have a lovely interactive map, showing houses, trails and streams!!! Based on the note from Niantic developers: "With the implementation of these features, we'll be removing the field-test label and considering this the official launch of the EX Raid Battle feature.", are we actually in fully launched phase? If so, isn't this release rate massively lower than desired? The EX raid system is categorically the most hated feature in the game, and I assumed that it was just because it was in testing phase, but if we're in launched phase, is this it? /u/nianticgeorge please help us out here and just communicate to us whether we're still in beta or launch, because despite the removal of the field-test labels, there has been zero fanfare about the official launch of Mewtwo, why isn't there more hype for such an iconic Pokemon? Posted: 01 Dec 2017 02:52 PM PST This Thursday the Spanish Pokémon GO map was replaced by the OpenStreetMap map, which has caused the military bases and other institutions of our city (3 in Segovia, Spain) to censor most of the map.
