This is my Chancellor. He sold me, my fellow Imperials, and all of Tamriel to the Molag Bal lobby for a measly 1 Amulet of Kings.

New player, just looking to socialise and be successful

Posted: 02 Dec 2017 02:27 AM PST

Hi guys!

I'm just downloading the game now and I have a question that I'm hoping is true. When I play video games I'm not really into pvp or killing end game bosses but instead just love to gather, craft and sell my wares to travellers. Does the end game offer this experience to someone and will allow them to be successful in terms of a rich experience!

It's hard to describe and sorry if I've done a poor job of it!

Dungeon Finder

Posted: 01 Dec 2017 06:49 PM PST

Dungeon finder seems to be borked; for about 10 minutes now, its just been saying that someone declined the queue (queued as healer). Other people in the zone chat have been having the problem as well

ZOS must not be selling a lot of dyes from the crown store, and so they threw them into the #10MillionStories box

Posted: 02 Dec 2017 02:28 AM PST

This is all I seem to be getting from these damn boxes... nothing but useless dyes that I will never use.

No Idea What To Do

Posted: 02 Dec 2017 12:42 AM PST

So lately I've been getting the MMO itch, sadly that's a very shallow pool of games on PS4(the platform with the most number of friends).

I have tried to use ESO to scratch that itch, but whenever I login, I feel lost, and have no idea what I should be doing with my time. So my question, what do you recommend I spend my time on, and/or what's fun?

PS. My CP is around 150

Identity Crisis with Dark Elf Dragonknight

Posted: 01 Dec 2017 07:19 PM PST

Recently I've been having a lot of fun playing the Dunmer Dragonknight I created when I first started playing, but I'm coming to a bit of an identity crisis because I wanted to be able to do dual-wielding DPS with him, as well as take advantage of the Dragonknight's flame skills. Naturally, this meant I've been leveling up my magicka so I can use those abilities, while wearing Medium Armor both for looks and because it allows me to do more damage with my swords. I had planned for the swords to do most of the damage while using the fire abilities for additional damage and sustain, and had envisioned him eventually using the fully decked out Ordinator-style Dunmer medium armor.

Unfortunately, I've been left in sort of an identity crisis because I realize now that what I've been building is a mage- when instead I wanted him to be more of a warrior! Now I'm not sure what to do with him, because going down the magicka path means mostly ignoring weapons and stamina abilities (and foregoing medium armor for light, which I haven't leveled and don't really care for looks-wise), while going the stamina path means I can essentially only use the DK abilities that have stamina morphs, which to be honest I'm not as keen on.

Is there an effective way to use non-light armor and swords on a (mostly PVE) magicka DK at all, or will I just have to accept the fact that my character is a mage and start treating him like one?

Steam Characters - ESO

Posted: 02 Dec 2017 12:24 AM PST

So I'm currently playing for free on steam and I ordered the game (not on steam), is it possible to transfer my characters that are on steam to my normal new ESO account? Steam >>> ESO.

Rant from someone learning to heal.

Posted: 01 Dec 2017 06:14 AM PST

I'm not a great healer, but I'm not bad. But for the love of god don't queue up on "harder" dungeons(or any) on normal mode as a tank when you're a 15k health dps, and not even capped on top of that. Don't complain about how we all keep getting one shotted when your roll is supposed to keep us safe and the attention on you. If you can actually solo them, that's one thing, but then you're ruining the XP for the group. Just solo them if that's wha you want.

While I'm at it, running ahead of a group of low champ level, or no champ level people, then complaining about not getting help isn't making me hurry up. I'm going to help the level 37 and 48 guys who are sticking together over the cp690 "tank" with less health. At least with their scaling they are a good team. I don't need a guy who "just wanted a quick run for a mystery box" to jam up what should have been a 20-30 min dungeon.

Sorry, just had a bad experience with 3 "tanks" in a row being higher CP and less HP than me and the DPS who stuck it out. Turned the dungeon into a 45 min quit, because we couldn't get a damn tank. "Oh I can tank" with 16k hp on a boss with one shot mechanics isn't tanking.

New to the game. Any DPS solo build wherein I don't have to press a ton of keys to be effective?

Posted: 02 Dec 2017 12:53 AM PST

Hi, I just bought the game from humble bundle (last month) and I kinda quick searched on some DPS classes. The nightblade magick for example (CMIIW), I saw that theres a ton of keys to press to do damage effectively. He even switched tabs to access another set of skills. Is this game revolved around that type of gameplay?

How do I cancel a costume dye ?

Posted: 02 Dec 2017 03:40 AM PST

I made the mistake to buy a dye in the crown store in order to apply it of one of my costumes. But now I regret my decision. I tried the dye station but can't find what I'm looking for. Is there a way to reverse that ?

[PC] Buy from Eso Store - Can I Select 'US' Region, But Play On EU Server?

Posted: 01 Dec 2017 11:52 PM PST

This is my situation:

I made an account for ESO back when it launched and when there was a free trial. From my understanding, that trial was US only, so I'm guessing this account is US only as well... Please correct me if I'm wrong. I mean, in the account page it clearly states my country (which is in Europe), so I could be wrong.

The situation now is that I want to try the game during the current trial, but will most likely end up buying it (within a day or two). The problem is, on Eso Store I can only select US as the region. My country isn't listed and when I select 'Other', it says "Contact your local dealer". The funny thing is that while logged in and under the Buy-US-Region page it shows the price in Euros (as it should).

My question is: should I decide to buy the game, can I just safely buy it from the US region? For various other reasons, I don't want to buy it from Steam or any other sources.

Thanks in advance!

Is this game worth getting if you are looking for solo experience?

Posted: 01 Dec 2017 02:06 PM PST

So let me say at beginning that I love Skyrim and Fallout 4/NV worlds and Bethesda games, and I ignored ESO entirely because of the fact it's MMO. Overall I like the universe of Elder Scrolls and I would like to experience more of it and ESO seems like a good choice, but I'm not 100% sure it's worth getting yet.

So I have few questions that I would like to be answered.

First and foremost is ESO good for singe player experience? No teaming up? Just you, story and world?

Second. Is it viable to play through it entirely in first person view? I dislike third person aspect of it, as it's not really immersive to me.

Thirdly does this game have some kind of global chat where you can freely talk with everyone who's currently online in the game about anything? Like in World of Warcraft for example.

Would appreciate any answers, thanks!

First 14 Mystery Reward Boxes (Dungeon Event)

Posted: 01 Dec 2017 07:41 AM PST

Hello all,

I ran a dungeon on each of my 14 characters and opened them all on my main.

The best thing that I received was the plan for this (200k market value - WTS, haha):

https://eso.mmo-fashion.com/clockwork-lectern-empty/

I also received:
doggo non-combat pet
2x Undaunted Plunder (1k vendor trash)
1x Undaunted Key
2x Crown Mimic Stones
2x Dye Stamps (...)

Everything else was a Treasure Map/Crown consumable

It's hard to complain about free stuff, but the preparation I did to have all 14 toons ready for speed runs was 'considerable' in light of a lot of the rewards being stuff with very little value.

My real hope was a decent drop rate on costumes and mounts, but that seems to not be the case.

I will press on and try to keep a more detailed record of drops.

Can't play on Xbox

Posted: 02 Dec 2017 02:10 AM PST

Hi all, since yesterday I have not been able to play. The game crashes a few seconds after startup and I get error 0x80072f8f 'usually this problem fixes itself...etc'. I have checked everything. All other games and internet surfing works a charm - it's just Eso. Can you help out? Thanks all!
