This game from a new player perspective. (Was it worth it rant)

I've been playing BDO for about 3 weeks now. I never even touched the game before cause all I heard was OMG P2W and that you never will be able to get urself anywhere.

I wan't to point out that I go to Uni, got a wife and a kid meaning I don't have that much time to invest.

After 3 weeks I find myself sitting with a 59 Wizard, and 56 striker and a 40 warrior. I got silvers/gears for an average gearscore around 430. I did invest money in pets. Not cause I had to, but because I loved the game and I honestly wanted to support it. So no, there isn't much of P2W in bdo. (EDIT SINCE THIS DIDNT COME ACROSS): for a casual new player who enjoys a good game. Despite what everyone is saying you can level up, grind and do stuff without spend money.

My tip to all you out there wanting to try this game out. Don't listen to people or go by what you read. Try it out for your self, and you will have a blast!

Give the game some time tho. Here is SO much to learn and Im still learning. I didn't get into any afk farming or stuff like that yet. Not geard for endgame pvp and content like that yet either so much to look forward to.

Ofc there are aspects in the game that I don't really appriciate, the failstack and enchancing system to me is a really boring rng gamble and the hard sniping in market or as an EU player the worldbosses spawn late night or early morning. But hey! If you ride it our and succeed you end up feel pretty good after all.

Another thing a new player must know is that gear matters more than class. Don't try to be king when you wear a farmers clothes. It's just not worth it.

Thanks BDO for the good times so far, and I really wished I picked this game up from start. :)

TL;DR: YES. Play the game. Don't listen to anyone else. Here is much content so give it time and learn it all and you will have a blast! Best class? Pick a cool one and gear it and it be fine. :) And no. P2W is false for a new casual player who wish to play the game.

Edit1: Didn't expect this to turn out to a P2W vs P4perks. Still some good points and ofc the common comments that kept me away from the game for 2 years. This is why I wrote "try to get game and don't read what everyone is saying". :)

Edit2: Fragments seem to be the big part of people being frustrated over the game. Instead of just bashing I would love to hear ideas on how they could improve this. Or tips and tricks on how you handle it without just spending money. :)

If you have a few maids its not an issue, but once you have 7+ maids crammed in a closet sweeping away it looks pretty much like you are running a 3rd world brothel
