| Posted: 15 Nov 2017 06:22 AM PST I made a previous post about a guy in my town with 11 alt accounts (yes, 11... 3 of which are level 40 and the rest are in the 30s) See here: https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemongo/comments/7a4mi4/complaint_what_can_be_done_if_a_trainer_has_11/ To sum up the previous post: This guy is taking over every gym with his alts and then constantly golden razzberrying them. I got some great advice on attacking the gyms that he's holding with his numerous alts, to try to win a war of attrition and deplete him off his razzberry stash. Well, this guy spoofs, but he also plays legit time to time - I've seen him at raids before. Yesterday, I met him at another raid... he had his alts of course, making our group of 6 actually a group of 10 (he usually only brings a few of his devices to a raid in person). While we were waiting, I was talking to him about his play style... and I asked why he bothers wasting goldens to hold gyms indefinitely. He showed me... He's got HUNDREDS of golden razzs. On his main account he had 300something, on his other alts he had over 100 on each. He spoofs to raids with all his alts, and takes down the raid boss just by himself. He says he gets enough golden razz coming in that he can hold all the gyms all day even with coordinated attacks. Needless to say, I was livid. And now I have no clue what to do. I told him its kind of ridiculous that we can't play the gym game because he's cheating, and his response was literally "maybe get better" So, a war of a attrition won't work. Reporting to Niantic does nothing. How can we as a community deal with this obnoxious trainer? I'm at a total loss. They turned it back on and they said they can only keep it on for 24 hours at the most. On the website it says it's not possible at the moment to change emails. Gen 3 won't solve this problem entirely. To lessen the boredom of trainers, other fresh additions to the game is extremely necessary at the moment. So here are some constructive thoughts about how to make Pokemon Go lively again. 1. Gameplay Features >
2. Rural Mode > (Only activable when there's a very low amount of Pokestop / Gyms in a very large area)
3. New items >
4. And above all, fix of every current bug. Some of these additions can come along with Gen 3, who knows! But these additions will surely make the game more enjoyable than ever. | Pokemon that I would love to see become raid bosses in the next rotation Posted: 16 Nov 2017 07:06 AM PST Grovyle, Marshtomp, Combusken, Tyrogue, Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee, Hitmontop, Raichu (for shiny purposes), Miltank, Chansey, Steelix, Umbreon, Espeon, Ampharos, Donphan, Gyrados, and Dragonite And here is a wishful thinking list of Pokemon I want to become raid bosses. Smeargle, Delibird, Heracross, Kangaskhan, Corsola, Unown, Mr. Mime, Pupitar (because then everyone will have an army of Tyranitar they can get on their own if they don't have an army already), Farfetchd, Ho-Oh (but sadly will probably become an EX raid boss), Celebi (again probably will become an EX raid boss), and Mew (and this Pokemon again would probably become an EX raid boss). What do you guys think of my list? Am I missing something? Is my list unreasonble to expect certain Pokemon to become bosses? [link] [comments]  | ||

| Missed with Plus then caught manually Posted: 16 Nov 2017 06:26 AM PST I have at times chosen to touch a Pokémon that the plus was wanting to catch to see if the cp was too high for the plus to catch easily. I'll look then decide to use the plus. Occasionally, after using the plus I'll toss a ball to see what happens and it flees after one ball or errors out. This last time I used the plus and left the 383 tauros encounter after a miss only to see it was still on my nearby after. So I went back to the spawn point engaged it again and caught it. | [IDEA] Open letter to Niantic - Why OPR isn't working! Posted: 15 Nov 2017 07:38 PM PST Dear Niantic, it is clear that you care about the Pokémon GO community and that you at least somewhat try to improve the game for as many players as possible. Now I personally am fortunate enough to live in a city where enough players used to play (or are still playing) Ingress, therefore there are enough Pokéstops in the inner city to enjoy the game properly. However, as soon as I leave this maybe 5-6km radius, there are less and less Pokéstops around, sometimes just one or none at all. I know that Operation Portal Recon is open and that users can submit new portals. However there are a few problems with that whole concept. First of all: The AR aspect. All your portals/Pokéstops have to be based on something in the real world. Bigger cities have lots of things to submit (like art, parks, important buildings..) and therefore have a lot of portals. In suburban areas, rural areas or just plain residential areas, there's not much to submit. So there will NEVER be a sufficiant amount of portals/Pokéstops to support local players, which either leads to people spoofing or people quitting the game. Suggestion: Make it possible to submit portals that are not based in reality or that do not fit the current guidelines, so those regions can have portals aswell. You could make those non-reality-based portals sort of "sponsored" like the ones in Unibail-Rodamco malls, that just say the name of the mall. Those stops could now just simply say "Niantic." Problem #2: Portal submissions currently a level 10 Ingress account. However Pokémon GO is popular in areas, where Ingress never caught on. Where there are no Ingress players around, there will most likely never be portals, therefore no Pokéstops. It should not be the duty of a Pokémon GO player to pick up the task of creating an Ingress account, level it up to 10, just so he/she can submit portals. Suggestion: Make it possible for Pokémon GO players to submit Portals, or make it so very low level Ingress accounts could already submit portals. To limit the number of sumitted portals by Pokémon GO players, you could make the required level 30+ therefore you will have portal submissions from players with some experience and knowledge of the game. Problem #3: Edited: The number of submissions is 7, with a 14 day cool down. - I can absolutely see the need for this. And finally Problem #4: This should be the easiest fix. Not every portal in Ingress has become a Pokéstop or gym. Some of them are still unused in Pokémon GO, which is sad. A lot of parks in my area could benefit from more Pokéstops and I know for a fact that those parks have a lot more portals in Ingress and I'm guessing this is true for a lot of places out there. | [question] How do I determine if it's worth keeping a pokemon? Posted: 16 Nov 2017 03:41 AM PST Yesterday I finally managed to find a group to do a raid with and got a Wartortle from it. I've been desperate to get the final forms of the original 3 starting pokemon but havn't progressed much towards that goal since starting the game. Additionally, I'm Team Mystic and have developed a habit of transferring anything I catch that isn't a 'wonder' in the appraisal. The Wartortle was only a "certainly caught my attention" so I was tempted to transfer it but Ive only seen 3 Squirtles since I started playing when the game came out and this was the first Wartortle I've seen. The full IV analysis can be found here Just I just transfer him or is it worth keeping and investing lots of dust and the few candies I have to power him up some? Or am I overthinking everything?
