Kinda stinks that they never incorporated Skyrim's dual wielding. Posted: 13 Nov 2017 05:29 AM PST Any thoughts on this? I mean, I'm imagining it would have been a lot of fun to do some akimbo pistols, or double daggers or brass knuckles, or pick up some scrap metal to make a shield for melee fighting. I just don't understand why this stuff was never put into place. [link] [comments] |
TIL You can move a car by pushing it with a mannequin Posted: 13 Nov 2017 07:10 AM PST No mods, no console commands just pure Fallout physics at its finest! [link] [comments] |
Paladin Danse Over-night Kill-spree Posted: 13 Nov 2017 10:12 AM PST I left Paladin Danse for about 6 hours overnight, during the rocket-test-fire sequence in "Call to Arms" Woke up to this and my video card whining [link] [comments] |

What is it about the Fallout universe which makes it so endearing? Posted: 13 Nov 2017 01:17 PM PST I'm not sure how else to put this. I'm a huge Skyrim nut, and when I got introduced to Fallout, I was told that it was a Elder Scrolls game with a shooter paint, I was pretty hyped So I buy New Vegas and I'm kinda disappointed by how clunky it is. I still try to play it, because I kept feeling bad for never having played it at release I held out on FO4 because of the community feedback, but a few days ago I just bought it anyway and I'm in love. It's so much more fun to play than FNV Like, I'm listening to music I've never even considered listening to, because of playing Fallout Sorry if this seems like a shitpost [link] [comments] |
After clearing Dead Wind Cavern Posted: 13 Nov 2017 07:02 AM PST https://giant.gfycat.com/ThatAmusedBluebird.webm I've had this on my hard drive for 2 and a half years gotdam...... [link] [comments] |
Shooting the REAL LIFE NCR Service Rifle! Posted: 13 Nov 2017 10:03 AM PST A follow up to my original post, some people requested a shooting video so here it is! I have many guns in my safe but this one is HANDS DOWN the most fun to shoot, couldn't be more happy with how it turned out! [link] [comments] |
A simple mechanic I have always wanted to see in a Fallout game Posted: 13 Nov 2017 07:50 AM PST The ability to go prone, for a game that has such an awesome open world stealth system it has always baffled me that I've never had the ability to go into the prone (laying down) position. As some who loves to play as a sniper type this would be an awesome mechanic in the next Fallout game. [link] [comments] |
So is the railroad only around because of the institute? Posted: 13 Nov 2017 10:12 AM PST If the institute never made synths would the Railroad ever have formed? Without the institute do they even have a purpose? [link] [comments] |
Fell off a tall building because I accidentally exited my power armor... Posted: 12 Nov 2017 11:46 PM PST I guess I got caught on the lip of the building, went to press X (PS4) to jump, which is a habit I cannot get rid of, ended up exiting, and stepping out into air. It was almost Cartoonish the way it happened. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Nov 2017 10:59 AM PST So i am not new to fallout 4 ( or fallout in general ) i have over 700 hours in it. And i fell like i have done everything!. and tbh the game has gotten a little boring. So i was wondering what do you guys do when you get bored in fallout 4? [link] [comments] |
Limits on fast travel, and the role of the player character as a champion of civilization. Posted: 13 Nov 2017 09:27 AM PST I like the idea of a limited fast travel. Where you can instantly transport yourself between safe areas like major towns, or player settlements. The normal game currently lets you instantly appear anywhere with a map marker, and this encourages a playstyle where everything not marked on a map is explored once and forgotten. Survival forces the opposite issue on you, and you have to endure a forced march for every little thing. Radiant quests become exceptionally tiresome on survival. I feel my version strikes a good middle ground. As for the player character being a champion of civilization. I wonder if that should become a staple of the series, or remain a feature of 4. I would doubtlessly miss being able to upgrade my guns, and power armor (although I would drop the linear upgrades , and replace them with utility upgrades). At the same time, babysitting the entire map is a damn chore. I'm confident that placing a cap on the number of settlements a faction can hold would alleviate this, and where a settlement could be built. Never made sense to me that you could piss of the Brotherhood, and then build farms in regions neighboring the airport. Local leader was a poorly implemented perk related to settlement building. Building a chem station, or weapon bench should be related to the relevant perk. A toolshed that distributes player made/looted farming tools like hoes, spades, plows to a settlement (+30% food generated) should be locked behind Local Leader. Similar buildings like an armory (player deposits weapons, which appear in settler inventories, grants +defense per settler). Hell, a cool way to dinstinguish player settlements by faction would be unique buildings. MM can build militia training yards, which also serve as communal meeting spaces (+defense per settler, +happiness). BoS get settlement outposts, which demand fuedal payments in food and water (+50 defense,-10 food,-10 water, lowers happiness rating over time). Institute get synth pods which flood the settlement with gen2 synths to handle all the menial labor (no more happiness rating, +food, water, scrap production, no more beds need, consumes power, unlocks bubble turret). RR can build cells which teach your settlers some unorthodox methods (can build sniper towers, mine fields that replenish each week,) [link] [comments] |

Just finished Dead Money and Old World Blues Posted: 13 Nov 2017 02:21 PM PST I loved both of the DLCs. I played Old World Blues first so i will start with my thoughts on that one. It was pretty sad to be honest. The poor Lobotomites and the fact that Dr. Mo wasn't the bad guy and the others were. I hated how hard the enemies were to kill but eventually i got better guns and it got easier. Toaster was definitely my favorite character lol. Dude was a psychopath XD. The characters and backstory of the Big Empty made it very enjoyable. In terms of Dead Money..... Story was powerful as hell. The love that the guy who built the Sierrra Madre had for Vera was mind-blowing to me. He built a fortress to protect her EVEN THOUGH she was planning to betray him with Dean. Each character had a problem with "letting go" as it was said in the ending credits. Christine couldn't let go of her hatred for Elijah, God couldn't let go of Dog , Dean couldn't let go of the Sierra Madre's treasure (dude was an asshole by the way) , and Elijah couldn't let go of his hatred for what happened at Helios One. When i connected the dots to the fact that he was the Father Elijah that Veronica mentions in her backstory IT BLEW MY MIND. As a DLC, Dead Money is definitely my favorite of the two I've played. Beautifully written (especially the ending credits) , Great enemies and backstory to them, and fun weapons (Hologram Rifle ftw). I just wish i could've taken more gold bars. I only took like 6. I did buy a lot from Gun Runners though XD. About to wreck The Divide with them lol. In conclusion, I really see why Fallout: NV is said to have the best DLC of the Fallout games. [link] [comments] |
The issue with the latest update (Xbox at least) Posted: 13 Nov 2017 08:32 AM PST So many are reporting crashing on mod reload and reloading saves yet no one seems to care. I'm making this to help ensure the many with this issue that it'll be fixed soon. The latest update causes Random incompatibility with the Full Dialogue Interface on Xbox and sometimes reportedly other text mods. [link] [comments] |
Why don't make EVERYTHING craftable? [Idea for Fallout 5(?)] Posted: 13 Nov 2017 09:27 AM PST Come on, you're at a post-apocalyptic era. You can turn everything that you can encounter in something useful. We need more alternatives to garbage instead of just selling it, like crafting handmade weapons or armor. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 13 Nov 2017 08:57 AM PST I am really looking forward to picking up this game again, I want something else to focus on besides the story... maybe settlements? or are they more of end of game type thing.... I am also really wanting to download mods for this game, is there a reddit list of what is really good? I am looking for graphic enhancement mods, new UI kinda like SKYUI for skyrim etc... would really help if people could help me out :D [link] [comments] |

What clothing should I go with in Fallout 4? Posted: 13 Nov 2017 02:38 PM PST I won't be working with the railroad for my current play through, and I am torn between using my vault suit or either the military or army fatigues. I will be doing stealth, if that helps. [link] [comments] |
