2 hours delay? The BLAST Trading Card Collection Talkshow made me create my own card professionally

Posted: 24 Nov 2017 11:53 AM PST

Official: Blast Pro Series plays will be played off-stream today later.

Posted: 24 Nov 2017 12:34 PM PST

Just confirmed on stream.

The first 3 matches will be played off-stream later today.

If you haven't heard what happened then here is basically most important part:

Their server PC broke down, then they moved to their backup server which also broke up instantly before starting matches. They tried fixing it but after 2 hours they decided to play matches off stream.

EDIT:

Official tweet from Blast

We've been hit by everything tonight. The matches will be played off stream, so we can be ready for the big day tomorrow. We are truly sorry for this and will do everything in our power to make it a kick-ass day tomorrow.

Valde: No guys. We (the pros) are not copypasting or sugarcoating the whole situation. BLAST just genuinely treated the players well and did everything they could. You can be mad or you can hope for the best and cross fingers for a better tomorrow. I know what im gonna do

I think that we are being too harsh on the Blast Pro Series...

Posted: 24 Nov 2017 01:04 PM PST

They have done wonders to bring back my nostalgia for early 2015 tournaments where you wouldn't even expect an event to start an hour after the posted time.

Hell, they even went a step further to pre-2012 where there were no CS:GO tournaments to watch, truly groundbreaking stuff.

That time I met Fifflaren

Posted: 24 Nov 2017 05:40 AM PST

It was during Dreamhack Winter 2013. NiP had a fan zone meeting with the fans and I got to talk to every single member of NiP. The best talk was with Fifflaren though.

Me: What's the best way to become a better CSGO player, ESEA or MM? Get_right (I think): ESEA is better because people take it more seriously.

Me: Oh well, people on ESEA have said "Oh you have 600 hours of CSGO? You should look for another game dude".

Fifflaren: Well I have over 3000 hours in CSGO (don't remember how many hours he said) and people say I should look for another game.

One of my favourite quotes I've heard myself.
