Sketchy Illustrations of the entire NA LCS on air team Posted: 03 Aug 2017 05:53 AM PDT Love me some casters: http://imgur.com/gallery/RKDrR Little bit of backstory, I'm an illustrator and I spend most of my time drawing and painting. I'm also a big LCS fan so I thought it would be neat to do some sketches of the casters since LCS provides me with a ton of background entertainment while I work. Started scribbling these at the beginning of the summer and would just do them whenever I had no client work to get done or whenever I was waiting in email limbo. Couldn't find much reference for them so usually had to rely on videos and improvise a lot of elements (except for Dash and Kobe). With the split coming to an end this weekend I figured now was as good a time as any to throw em' up. Hope you enjoy! Map change suggestion: Drake / Rift Herald / Baron should be able to spawn at either pit. Posted: 03 Aug 2017 08:03 AM PDT Hi guys, I have had this idea for a while. I believe the summoners rift could be better with both pits being the same in size, spawn locations for pit monsters should be random following the following rules:   Pre 20: Drake has a 50/50 chance of spawning at either pit. Each team would know where the first drake would spawn at the beginning of the game. Laners have the flexibility to determine which lane they want for early drake control. For every drake after the first one, the spawn location is still 50/50 but now its known 2 mins before hand. At 10:00 & 20:00: If Drake is up, Rift Herald / Baron should spawn at the other pit. If Drake is down, Rift Herald / Baron has a 50/50 chance of spawning at either pit.   Gameplay improvements Not only this removes map advantages for both sides, blue having early drake control, red late Baron control. This will also make the game more dynamic. The vision game alone would be much more interesting for supports which will also carry more risk as we won't be just replacing wards in the same vicinity of the previous wards as we do so often (yes, I am a main sup). For this to work both Tier 1 top and bot tower would have to have the same hp/armor. Would do you guys think? Edit: oh god my inbox, I regret everything. Building Deathcap in season 7 feels horrible. Posted: 03 Aug 2017 11:23 AM PDT Tl;dr at the end. Building deathcap has never been more punishing ever since the changes that happened last season in patch 6.9, when many items lost a lot of AP, such as Zhonya, Rod of ages and more recently Rylai. The raw 120 AP is cool and all but pretty useless when my opponents have magic resist (base or from items), especially now that ranged champions get MR/level. MR is also very easily accesible for ad carries through Maw and Scimitar as well as bansee's for ap carries and more recently added gargoyle's and adaptive helm for tanks. And the 35% increased AP was indirectly nerfed when many items got their AP values nerfed. Why would I ever want to build Deathcap which just gives raw AP when I can build Void staff, which increases my damage to tanks AND squishes. Or Liandries, which gives me damage against stacking health, magic penetration and makes me tankier. Not only that but its build path is just a nightmare combined with the fact that it is the most expensive item in the game. Building it as your 5th or 6th item forces you to sit on a rod and blasting wand and save for 1700/2550 gold, which just makes no sense when you need the damage instantly, not wait 10 min of constant farming to purchase it. Tl;dr: Deathcap is just not holding up to its "massive ap boost" fantasy and needs to be changed. Also one of the worst build paths in the game. Riot should seriously look into blue/red side win rates. Posted: 03 Aug 2017 05:00 AM PDT There has been discussion from time to time about the blue side having advantage over the red side. I didn't personally think it was such a big deal until coming across win rate statistics from 2017 MSI according to which blue side had 61.9% win rate(!) over red side's 38.1%. I know a lot depends on the teams that play also but I think this is a clear indication that map balance is off. One of the reasons could be it's more comfortable to play on blue side, or having first pick advantage. What are your thoughts on this and do you think riot should address the issue or is it fine as it is?
