Should the lighthouse be opened for everyone once ToO is finished?

With next weekend being the last of destiny 1, it will be the last time trials of osiris will be available anymore and sadly anyone who hasnt gone flawless yet will miss out on that sweet grimoire card that may or may not finish the long run in obtaining max grimoire. Should bungie maybe open up and let those guardians in to the lighthouse?

My thoughts are that yes its quite the challenge to get to the lighthouse, difficult for some but a thrill if you get the last win for 9. Some people will just never be able to get there. Maybe after it is over, guardians can be allowed to go to mercury if they have participated in trials before and get the grimoire. They wont get the emblem, weapons, armour or anything that is given from the chest, but it would be really awesome for those who havent been to check it out and get the grimoire for going.

Downtime until Destiny 2

Since we have plenty of downtime, I got a bit bored and found STL files for Outbreak Prime and decided to texture it and whip up this render for the rest of ya'll to enjoy. Haven't rendered anything in ages so I still need to work on lighting and such. Enjoy.

i think that guy is a centurion anyway. but the rockets he shoots, you can shoot them out of the air. Kind of like the axion darts in that sense.

I wish there were rarer emblems based on D1 achievements

In the push to include, I think Bungie missed a great opportunity to reward hardcore players with cosmetic achievements. Grimoire emblems at 5000, 5250, 5500, and 5615 with slight variants would be amazing. Trials made it to the lighthouse 1, 10, 50, 100 times. cleared all raids, combined raid clears of 10, 50, 100, 500. I feel like cosmetics are the perfect head nod to the hardcore players that would let us show our love of the game and dedication without gaining an advantage.

A call for Developers from DestinyDashboard.net, an open sourced Destiny Platform

Dear fellow developer guardians,

I've created a platform for Destiny 2 development. Included in this platform are utilities for Bungie OAuth, Destiny API, and Manifest processing. It's all done. You just focus on developing.

I've open sourced it on GitHub. Angular 4 Material + Java + MySQL.

I hope the community sees the power of such a site and will consider contributing! With your help, this site will have every tool a Guardian might need. No more jumping to 6 different websites to check your stats, grimoire, dead ghosts, item transferring, public events, news, etc.

If you'd like the see the current progress, the site is https://www.DestinyDashboard.net. This is in Alpha site so some things might not be fully finished.

One Grenade. Two Suicides. Most Useless Glitch in Destiny.

Hey guys!

I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel here as Destiny 1 comes to a close. I think I've found the most useless glitch in the entire game.

I've found how to throw one grenade and get killed twice by it.

As with any useless glitch, the time explaining it takes longer than actually doing it. So here it goes. What you'll need for this glitch:

  • A Warlock with Self-Res.
  • A Solar Grenade
  • Sunbreakers (Thanks Xur)
  • Custom Game (not Rumble)

How to do it:

  1. Wait for your super meter to fill up.
  2. Look straight up and throw your grenade.
  3. Immediately pull out your Ghost and change teams.
  4. Immediately Self-Res and walk forward into your grenade.
  5. Die.

For some strange reason, even though you will in fact only die once, the game "credits" you for 2 kills/suicides.

For instance, mine said:

JewBoy300 killed JewBoy300

JewBoy300 killed JewBoy300

Weird glitch, yes. Useless? You bet your sweet ass. See you guys in Destiny 2!

I know there's a lot of people who quit after week 1 of destiny but holy cow is there a giant amount of people just randomly spouting hateful things, I tried to be quite polite a lot of times and tried to help inform people but you get shot down and called a bungie dick licker.

Does anyone know why people are so quick to try and actively ruin others fun, especially for someone who has never tried destiny. Kinda wish we could all just let people enjoy the things they want to and wait for actual information before being a jerk.

What's the best way to try to help these people see the bright side of things and be more positioned to listen to information over "I don't know jack shit but fuck you because I feel like it"?

Traveler give me strength in the coming month.

30 for 30: A one month countdown to Destiny 2

Hello Guardians,

I frequent this subreddit often. I find myself waking up, rolling over in bed, and opening the reddit app on my phone to see what the new posts on /r/DestinytheGame happen to be. During the Beta and leading up to it, I almost couldn't check the subreddit fast enough and there was tons of posts about speculation of the beta, how to get your beta codes, the IGN First reveals, and awesome wallpapers/backgrounds that are now my phone background and XBL profile pic. However, leading up to the PC beta and the console release, there has been a lull, and so I decided to do something about it.

I am going to do a 1 month countdown of daily posts leading up to the destiny 2 launch date. A not quite as awesome version of IGN first. I want to hear your thoughts, your ideas, your stories, and your experiences. This post is more to get a feel if this is something you Guardians and Guardianettes would want, and if you have any ideas for content you would like to see in this series leading up to D2.

Most of this series will be hearing from you, your stories, your ideas, your complaints. As the Destiny era is entering its twilight, I want to pay it homage as well as look forward to Destiny 2 that will be here in only a month.

I wish you all well and hope you all enjoy this series as much as I have making it.
