I don't know anything about the lore, so this would be my bet.

how to play around devolve

All I want from Knights of the Lich King

Posted: 09 Jul 2017 01:08 AM PDT

When you use Uther against the Lich King in the adventure, The Lich King's pre-game message is
"Glad you could make it, Uther."

You can already tell what the new class legendaries are gonna be.

Posted: 09 Jul 2017 04:55 AM PDT

Hunter:

Control hunter card that would probably be good in any other class. Except this one. Because hunters don't want to play control.

(King dred, Knuckles, Huhuran)

Mage:

A decent control card that mage doesn't need, or simply just too slow for the meta. Also this card has the coolest effect, but you'll never see this until someome gets it from an RNG card.

(Pyros, Solia, Anomalus)

Paladin: Either an "Almost as good as Tirion" or blizzard is putting an already existing card effect on this one.

(Bolvar, Sunkeeper, Eadric)

Priest:

You wish this card was worth putting it in your deck.

(Confessor Paletress, Herald Volazj)

Rogue:

"What the hell is this, and why is this the rogue card?"

(Anub'arak, Sherazin, Gallywix)

Shaman:

Not bad, Not good. Probably won't be played expect for that 1 niche deck.

(Hallazeal, Kalimos, Neptulon)

Warlock:

This one is gonna be a 5+ mana strong minion, with an interesting strong effect... that warlock doesn't need or can't affor playing it.

(Krul, Cho'gall, Wilfred Fizzlebang)

Warrior:

You already forgot what that card was.

(Hobart Grapplehammer, Iron Juggernaut)

Please don't take this seriously.

200 attack mini-rag? I raise you 6 at 2147483647

Posted: 09 Jul 2017 07:54 AM PDT

Because why not...

http://imgur.com/a/9ou6w

That is the highest attack mini-rag can go to (or any minion for that matter) as going just one more would cause the stat to go negative (0 for attack).

The setup was with priest and paladin though it'd work with just priest and any other class.

The method:

  • mass dispel mini-rag to stop him from attacking, and make him targetable by whoever owns him
  • play faceless manipulator on an empty board (to allow you to make copies using convert.)
  • play violet illusionist, lore walker cho and optional radiant elementals
  • buff mini rag to 8 hp then double it until it reaches 230
  • play confuse into pint sized potion into confuse to lower his health by 3
  • (This is where i went wrong) Play 1 power word shield on mini rag, then divine spirit to bring his health to 231 - 2
  • play faceless manips
  • use inner fire or confuse again to change hp to attack
  • play deathwing/twisting nether/ doomsayer/ doom to kill mini rags all in one turn.
  • watch them respawn at max attack
  • end turn
  • ??? *Go to blizzard jail, profit!!!

I have tried 3 mini rags at ~1million attack, against much higher hp violet illusionists.

The fireballing animation goes on for a very long time before hearthstone crashes (bad computer maybe?) then all the damage is dealt, and the turn ends, repeating the cycle for quite some time...

Classic legendaries that will very likely reappear in Knights of the Frozen Throne

Posted: 08 Jul 2017 06:18 PM PDT

Tirion Fordring. The slayer of the Lich King, in Hearthstone he can potentially reappear as Death Knight.

Sylvanas Windrunner. She died because of Arthas, resummoned as corpse. Maybe she will reappear as her normal living self?

Black Knight. The taunt killer... loyal knight of the Lich King.

Malygos. The Dragon Aspect that had his own base in Northrend.

Of course, Kel'thuzad, Anub'arak, Bolvar and few others from adventure/expansions are also candidates. Oh and Yogg Saron... Oke fine... not likely, but he is buried under Northrend, and his blood is all around Northrend. If Tirion + player-characters didn't stopped Lich King, it would probably been Yogg-Saron.

Coming back to HS is like a breath of fresh air.

Posted: 09 Jul 2017 12:07 AM PDT

I switched from HearthStone to Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links a few months ago. I grew up with Yu-Gi-Oh and always loved the fast-paced, combo and reversal based playstyle it offered. Duel links seemed to be the first time I had ever seen it effectively translated into a video game format (the phase system usually made that awkward, but they streamlined it very well for DL). I honestly really love what the devs managed to do with it.

Sure does suck that Konami's been Konamiing all over the bloody thing.

They've always been gradually pushing the envelope on power creep, but now they put out a new meta-redefining pack set every month, sometimes even faster. Each of these sets has hundreds of cards, and they don't compensate by making them easier to get. If anything, getting cards in Duel Links is slower than in Hearthstone. And the crafting system is this weird secondary card shop with a limited selection and you need specific components from specific cards.

At one point they stopped selling one of the packs with a lot of staples in it, but you could still play those cards in ranked matches. They since brought it back, but it's goddamn ludicrous that it was ever gone.

They also make some character classes available through timed events only.

The whole thing just reeks of p2w. I mean I know hearthstone uses the f2p model as well, but I've never felt like the game was trying to make things difficult for me to make do without spending real money.

Eventually I just gave up on the whole affair. I have my problems with HS (I still dislike how standard sweeps loads of really fun cards into the "no moderation so the meta is 100% broken cancer" pile on a regular basis), but goddamn, Blizzard would never bull this nonsense.

So I'm back with HearthStone, and I suddenly appreciate the little things, like the polished, balanced gameplay, and the inviting interface, and the way that it doesn't make me spend in-game resources on AI matches (yes duel links does that). It's good to be back.

Which Wild card would make standard meta more healthy/better?

Posted: 09 Jul 2017 03:54 AM PDT

The biggest rag I could make this Brawl..

Posted: 09 Jul 2017 12:26 AM PDT

Was 96, it gets REALLY buggy around 60, ropes almost every turn so you can't even do anything most of the time. Both sides seem to get desynced, different minions on each players turn, hero power bugs out, lorewalker spells disappear and aren't played and you can get over the 7 minion limit (At least display wise).

I spent about 40 turns before just quitting as I literally could do nothing for the last 10 turns. The screenshots pretty much show how I did it.
