As of a few days ago:

Smash 4: 1031
Melee: 1002

2016 final numbers:

Smash 4: 2662
Melee: 2372

That's -61.27% for Smash 4 and -57.76% for Melee so far, with registration still open for another 13 days. I know a lot of people register very close to the actual event, but clearly not enough to get close to last year's numbers, let alone grow.

Ban Mid Set Coaching

Holy cow it's embarrassing. It's mostly among sponsored players in Smash 4 and Melee.

If you're at the top level and sponsored by a legit esport organization. You're telling me you can't prepare for your bracket before hand. Or you know prepare before your actual match.

Mid set coaching is just a momentum killer, on top of hand feeding players who can't adapt mid match.
