This is an opportunity for the more experienced LoL players here to share some of your wisdom with those with less expertise. This thread will be a weekly safehaven for those "noobish" questions you may have been too scared to ask for fear of downvotes, but also can be a great place for in depth discussion if you so wish. | Posted: 19 Jun 2017 04:17 AM PDT I'm really bummed to hear the hundreds of hours and years of play involved in unlocking runes, rune pages, and honors from teammates/opponents are going to disappear. I'm hopeful that as Riot thinks of appropriate rewards or compensation, they fully understand how much time those take to earn, as well as who has earned them (their most longstanding, loyal, and well-behaved players). From what I hear, very few of us would be happy with a massive IP refund, as the majority of those players have no need for more IP. Regarding the old honor system, I suggest at the very least that those who have 100, 200, or 500+ "Friendly"/"Helpful"/"Teamwork" honors receive a permanent summoner icon that visually illustrates/indicates that they've been a good teammate for a very long time, dating back to the soon-to-be "old" honor system. Frankly, I think those players probably deserve something much better (such as a fully-earned and well-deserved headstart in the new honor system), but this simple idea would require very little work from Riot: 4 summoner icons that represent good teamwork, helpful teammates, friendly teammates, and honorable opponents. Regarding how to reward us for unlocking all those runes and rune pages, I'm not sure what's appropriate, but man... those took a long time to earn. [link] [comments]  | ||

| What are the funniest things you did when you were a beginner? Posted: 19 Jun 2017 04:54 AM PDT My one was when my diamond friend challenged me to a 1v1 when I was a week into league. I picked Varus and he picked Soraka. When I was just about to die he spammed the auto cancel attack and I asked him what that was and he said he ran out of ammo. There the stupid noob I was thought there was an ammo system so whenever I canceled my autos I blamed it on "ammo". Another thing he did was spam his q on my turret while he was attacking it and it lead me to think abilties did damage to turrets. I remember fondly trying to ult a turret as darius and complaining that it didn't work. What are your funny stories from your noob days? [link] [comments]  |
