Blue team's winrate jumped to 55% since the "10 bans" release Posted: 20 Jun 2017 05:45 AM PDT Source: http://www.leagueofgraphs.com/rankings/blue-vs-red I wonder what it could be linked to: More OP champs banned -> only one or two OP champs available and blue team gets to pick it first ? Also a lot of OPs champs can be played top. Ganking top is easier for blue team due to the tribush. (and ganking bot is easier for red team). Could this means that a fed top can carry a game more easily than a fed bot ? Indeed the "Champions Winrate difference" array shows a lot of Tops with high winrate difference This also could be proved by the fact that rift herald is more killed by the blue team : the jungler has more facility with the ganks top and kills herald just after a gank. Riot to release Tainted Minds-themed Brand skin. Posted: 20 Jun 2017 01:46 PM PDT Apparently there are two ways to get a skin for your team; win Worlds, or subject five young adults to the seventh ring of hell. Celebrate TM's legacy with the new Tainted Brand, 975 RP. In order to provide a motif, you do not purchase the skin. Rather, you are 'fined' the required amount. Due to contractural obligations, their former manager will be cosplaying and posing for the splash art. Brand has always been the champion to represent the competitive team's ideals. Although fantastic all-around, you need the right build to win. As TM says, for brand, a "little bit of insight goes a long way." Rather than being designed by Riot's art team, Riot has hired homeless men to do the job, in order to spite the art team for refusing to work on the product. New Honour System Posted: 20 Jun 2017 06:15 AM PDT I currently play in OCE where the new honour system is being tested, and just thought I would post some feedback on how it has been going/what to expect. Firstly, I know it's a small sample size, and it's a new shiny toy which may lose some of it's shine after a few months, but Having it in a screen that always shows up after the game, is a great improvement. As someone who never used the old honours, I've only had one game where I didn't give it to anyone, and that was because everyone tilted off the face of the earth. Having them be more descriptive than a single word gives slightly more meaning to them. Also having different icons for each, and the fact each person only get one pick, means when you have it pop up in the post game lobby, it feels a lot nicer than the old notification. Getting 3 of more to get the extra recognition is pretty fun too. Having actual rewards built into it (not just a tiny banner), and the different tiers to work too, actually gives incentive too work with your team, and I've noticed a decent improvement in team communication since it came out. Today when I logged in, I had a pop-up saying here's a reward for you playing nicely (paraphrasing) and was given 4 key fragments. Having the direct link between them will help keep players motivated. However a few nit-picks. It would be nice if it was changed to Honour instead of Honor on OCE (and maybe other non-NA regions), to fit the regional spelling for the server, as honor is largely only the American spelling as far as I'm aware. The fact that the champions show up with only the skins splash art and user-name, in the post-game lobby, can sometimes make it hard to tell who is who. I don't always remember what each players name is, as I usually just refer to them as the champion they are playing. This would be fine, except for some of the splash-arts are very similar for skins on certain champs. I've had a few games where I think "Oh I should give it to champion1 after their shot-calling", only to find two different splash arts in the honour screen, that both look like they could be champion1. I don't want to memorise what skin everyone is playing with, so it would be nice if it also had the champion name or icon next to the player name maybe. edit:formatting submitted by /u/SulkyJoe [link] [comments]
