Paradise Falls is designed after a shopping center in my town.

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 01:19 AM PDT

Image comparison here.

The shopping center is called Southgate and is very old and somewhat famous. ACE/Crowder Brothers hardware and Publix have been there for decades. It opened in 57 and was also featured in the film Edward Scissorhands. Just thought this was interesting. Everyone knows that the DC landmarks are from DC but it's weird to see something from Lakeland, Florida in such a massively successful game.

Should i buy fallout 2?

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 08:30 AM PDT

Fallout 4 was my first fallout game and i ended up liking it so much i completed three playthroughs with different factions and different characters, and later bought New Vegas since i saw everyone praising it as being the best fallout game to date. I liked NV but not as much as 4, probably because i like more fast paced games and i found the mojave wasteland boring at times. So i was asking myself if i should buy fallout 2 to know more of the lore or would i find it boring?

Psdt: english is not my first language

Recommendations for a sniper based character for FNV? Mods/Perks/Special

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 08:27 AM PDT

Hi guys, I finish my exams on Friday and I'm really itching to play some fnv, I was just wondering if you guys had any suggestions to optimise or improve a sniper playthrough. Even suggestions such as the most lore friendly faction would help, thanks!

I typically use Melee builds in Bethesda games so this will be very different for me.

Edit: I also have all DLC

Mods and Separate Users [PS4]

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 10:52 AM PDT

I've recently picked up FO4 again and this time I've started using the many mods available for PS4. I have another person playing on my PS4, so they use a different account to play. When they go to start their game, it says they have my mods equipped.

If we both want to play our own ways, do we have to equip/unequip my mods everytime we want to play? Are there any consequences for continuously disabling and re-enabling certain mods on my system?

Vault Dweller Cosplay

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 03:42 PM PDT

I got some photos done recently of my Vault Dweller cosplay and wanted to share! This album has some of my favourite pictures from the shoot: http://imgur.com/gallery/jaF0H

This was my first major cosplay project. Almost everything is hand assembled, the most notable exceptions being the bandolier, the boots, the holster, and the half-chap. The suit was a hand-stitched pain in the ass, but I think it turned out okay.

If you want to see more of my cosplay (my next project is also from Fallout), you can check it out at https://www.instagram.com/dxafx/ Are there any other cosplayers in this subreddit?

Multiple NPC Dialogue On Screen At The Same Time? FO4

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 10:40 AM PDT

Has this been made or is this possible?

I recently installed a mod allowing for multiple followers and I'd like to know what each of them are saying. (There are moments where each follower says something and I can't understand them all. LOL)

I just realized you can fully role-play as a soldier of the Confederate States of America in Fallout 3

Posted: 20 Jun 2017 06:02 PM PDT

With the confederate hat, and slaver being a central theme in game, you can pretty much role play as a slaver with 500 year old ideologies.

Ideas for a mobster play through.

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 11:55 AM PDT

I'm currently trying to do a mobster play through in fallout 4 where the objective is essentially to get ballistic weave (because suits and no armor right? Haha) recruit macready, cait, Hancock and nick as a corrupt cop, be a sarcastic ass hole and do everything for profit.

Kind of curious on how everyone would do this, who they would recruit and who they treat factions etc. Also I'm on Xbox and played vanilla about a year ago. This is my second playthrough of the game. Wondering if there were any mods that may go well with this idea of mine.

Heavily inspired by my favorite movie Goodfellas haha Thoughts?

Rockopolis what was it like how big was it what was its importance?

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 08:19 AM PDT

we only know about it thanks to daring dashwoods adventures from decades ago. All we know was it was safe hard to find and is now gone after having its entire population enslaved by paradise falls for some reason. This happend way before the pitt nedded workers under ashur yet a entire major settelment taken away in one fall swoop.

How did the slavers at paradise falls get started?

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 04:41 AM PDT

Think about it you got a bunch of survivors some decide to squat in ruins scavanging. Some turn to violence and take from others cause its easyer then providing for themselves. Some try and rebuild make comunitys and try to make a living in them. Then you got the slavers when did these guys just one day think hey lets enslave some folk and sell them when most people cant even feed themselves and its a post apocaliptic hell hole of a wasteland.

What factions beside Institute can recreate Pre-War tech?

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 02:43 PM PDT

By "pre-war tech" I mean plasma/laser guns, atomic power generators, fusion cells, etc. Raiders already have the capability of creating firearms, but can they produce ammo? Will BoS eventually run out of advanced tech to preserve?

Tactical Slingback Backpack on Clearance at Boxlunch.com!

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 11:19 AM PDT

I'm pretty sure I saw a recent post (the past few weeks, anyway) where someone was asking about one of the Fallout-themed backpacks, and whether or not they were available still....? Was just browsing Box Lunch for something else, and found this in the Clearance section. Figured I ought to share so everyone would have their chance at it while it's available (this go around, as it seems to cycle in and out)

Be sure to stuff it full of wasteland junk!

TIL of a new book called "Raven Rock: the story of the U.S. Government's secret plan to save itself--while the rest of us die."

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 04:09 PM PDT

I was listening to an interview with the author on my way to work. Just bought it, and I've yet to read it, but it sounds really fascinating.

The Fall of The Roman Empire

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 02:14 PM PDT

Do any of you think the legion stands a chance once Caesar dies, whether it's under Vulpes or Lanius? Or do you think it even matters or was the legion doomed to die of over expansion?

FNV: Bugs Killing the Experience on Console (XB360)

Posted: 21 Jun 2017 12:23 PM PDT

25 hours into my playthrough, going up Black Mountain for the first time on the mission to retrieve the Brotherhood holotapes. Atop the mountain next to the crater with the dish, I shoot the three Super Mutant Masters I find with This Machine, while wearing the Space Suit to negate the rads. I get past the crater, take a few steps, then something repeatable happens: I start bunnyhopping uncontrollably through the terrain and then fall through the geometry. Xbox Freeze.
I restart/reload. I turn a hard 90 degree turn to run off the mountain and disengage. Another super mutant on the street below to the west. I engage VATS. Xbox Freeze.
I restart/reload. I try to fast travel off the mountain prior to engaging. Loading screen. Spinning ball on roulette wheel. Ball stops. Xbox Freeze.
Since 2011, I have tried four playthroughs of FNV. Three have ended similarly to this. I have gone back to load previous saves, lost countless hours. I have previous manual saves from the hours before this gamebreaker, but should I continue with this playthrough? Are my saves corrupted? How many of my 25 hours of playthrough will I have lost? Will I have to dodge Black Mtn completely to have any chance of playing through successfully?
Can anyone help with dealing with the bugs on console? I need a pep talk to help motivate me to keep playing, or advice on how to avoid these bugs. As a console player, FNV has been a demoralizing experience.
Tips for best practices from experience or knowledge would be helpful. I love the FNV universe and the missions, but there's a reason I enjoy F3 much more on Xbox; it's just reliable, and FNV is sadly not, in my experience.
