Spoiler policy

TL;DR: Major locations/temples and major character names will be allowed in titles with the release of the game. Titles still must be vague and cannot divulge storylines. Boss names, dungeon weapons, plot points are not allowed in titles.

Titles must begin with [SPOILERS] when discussing the game or they will be removed.

I'm beyond lost for words with how much dedication this guy put into domino art for Majora's Mask.

(BoTW) Origins of the Great Plateau

Posted: 23 May 2017 12:25 AM PDT

For as long as I've been playing this, the mystery of the Great Plateau has always eluded me. Looking at it from ground level, it looks like massive city walls, but the city inside had been filled completely to the brim with dirt. I mean, even the gates that lead inside have dirt spilling out of them.

What are the prevailing theories on this area exactly? To me, it looks like a city that was filled completely with dirt, up to the tops of it's walls. But, that wouldn't make any sense, right?

I've figured out why the yiga clan is obsessed with bananas (Theory) [X-Post from /r/Breath_of_the_Wild]

Posted: 22 May 2017 04:13 PM PDT

I had been suggested to share my find with the zelda subreddit and I'm sure many of you will appreciate it. Enjoy!

So I was reading about ninja's on Wikipedia, as you do at 2:00am and came across the following: "In the unrest of the Sengoku period (15th–17th centuries), mercenaries and spies for hire became active in the Iga Province and the adjacent area around the village of Kōga" This drove me to the conclusion that, Iga=Yiga Kōga = Master Kohga I then researched Iga Province Japan and bananas, and came across this information: The most famous poet of the Edo Period in Japan, Matsuo Bashō, had a house in the Iga province and was given a banana tree (exotic to Japan at the time) as a gift from a student. His dwelling became known as Banana Plant Cottage. After his house got destroyed, he had to move, however at his new residence, he grew five new banana trees! Source: Classical Japanese Prose: An Anthology by Helen Craig McCullough I just thought I should share even though it's possibly a very loose connection. I love knowing how and where Nintendo get their inspiration for the series and I'm sure many of you will find it as fascinating as I do. TL;DR - Banana tree's in Japan were planted in the Iga province, the name origin of the Yiga clan, or I'm just going bananas.

EDIT: As you guys enjoyed this so much here's a little bonus. A poem by the great Matsuo Bashō, indeed about his banana tree. More specifically, about his annoyance with a local plant ruining the aesthetic of his prized tree. "ばしょう植ゑてまづ憎む荻の二葉哉 bashō uete / mazu nikumu ogi no / futaba kana by my new banana plant / the first sign of something I loathe— / a miscanthus bud! [1680]"

What should I play next?

Posted: 23 May 2017 05:04 AM PDT

I've been a gamer since I remember myself and I played ocarina of time back in the N64 days. That's the only one I remember playing, and it's among my all time favorite games.

What should I play next? Are the other games similar to OoT in terms of puzzles?

Rupees

I'm trying to get to 100,000 rupees. What's the easiest quickest way to achieve this? On a side note, I bought out all the arrows in Tarry Town and Gerudo Village, where else are they sold in bulk?!
