| I somewhat feel bad about the guard in the Baracks in act 3 Posted: 01 May 2017 10:15 AM PDT He's like, "Oh, you came to help me find my friend?"
"Can you help me find him anyway? I need help killing all these demons."
"Cool, I'll follow you anyway!" After breaking hundreds of barrels, this guy deals with demons completely alone. "What'cha looking for?"
"What's in it? Is it going to help us taking back the keep?"
"How will a crowbar help us fight the demons?"
"It LOOKS cool?!" We finally finds his friend and a demon spawns to hunt us down, and I'm still looking for barrels. Demon dies completely by accident since I'm breaking barrels in the room, and the guy thanks me for it - then the guy laying down indicates that the first guy "came back for him", meaning that he was just left down there, alone, along with a bunch of murderous demons. And I keep coming back and not trying to help them and the second guy is always left behind down there. I kinda feel bad for both of them. [link] [comments] |

| Help to a possible new player. Worth start playing right now? Posted: 01 May 2017 08:29 AM PDT I never've played D3 in my life, but I love the ARPG style, i've played all the ARPG around the network, and Im wondering starting in D3, someone can help me? Is worth start playing now? Or is better to wait another version to start, Idk how is the end game, and how the game treat the new players. And if is worth, any suggestion to start? | Season 11 Portrait & Pet rewards are a missed opportunity. Posted: 01 May 2017 12:00 PM PDT Hey guys, I'm pretty sure we are all stoked for season 11 and the chance to finally get our hands on the necro. This video goes over some of the rewards for season 11: I'm not sure if they're final designs, but one thing that really stuck out to me was the portrait and pet reward for the season 11 journey and how... strange they were. The Greed portrait looks pretty cool, and the dragon pet would be awesome under any other circumstance -- but this season represents one huge difference: We are getting a new hero class! I'm pretty sure 90% of the games playerbase will be playing the necro in season 11, it would only be fitting if we the season rewards reflected this. There might be additional dlc bonuses (aside from char and tab slots) and a set dungeon pennant, but I think it's a huge wasted opportunity not to focus the rewards around the necro "theme" for the launch. While it's just personal opinion -- and maybe it's because I missed out on some of the earlier pennants and malthael portraits -- I would love to see a bone/blood themed pet and portrait, a cool pennant or something that ties in with the release of the necro. Have you guys seen the season 11 portrait and pet? What do you think of the rewards given the context underlying the upcoming season? [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 01 May 2017 03:37 AM PDT I was doing bounties in act 2 and I got the bounty to kill Barty the Minuscule in the Stinging winds. I searched the entire are for about 45 minutes and couldn't find him. There was no indicator on my map either. I gave up and went on to the next bounty to kill Maghda, and on my way there I found Barty in the middle of Alcarnas. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? [link] [comments] |
| Thoughts from a new Diablo 3 player but Blizzard veteran Posted: 01 May 2017 09:39 PM PDT Hey everyone, I thought I'd share some thoughts I've had while playing Diablo 3 over the past two months. I'm not new to Blizzard games but I am very new to the Diablo series - this is the first one I've played. A bit of background - I've extensively played Starcraft I and II, WoW - through Burning Crusade, Heroes of the Storm, and Hearthstone. I haven't had a whole lot of time in my life to be truly competitive in those games but I've always landed somewhere in the top 10-5 percent bracket in competitive play, whether that's somewhere in Platinum or rank 7 or 1900 Arena ranking. All that being said, I've overall been extremely satisfied with Blizzard games evenif I've grumbled occasionally about things like Dr. Boom, Void Rays, Tracer, or Illidans weapons in Arena. No matter imbalances or just weird or dumb mechanics, I've always had some faith that Blizzard had the best interests of their games at heart. That brings me to Diablo III. I love this game. Ever since I started in mid-March I've obsessively played it whenever I could squeeze a couple hours in. I think I've done decently with my first character - a WW Barb clearing high 60s GRs. On the other hand this game feels incredibly neglected in many basic ways that really surprises me. Often I'm left asking myself if its worth putting in the time that I do because Blizzard - it seems - have more or less forgotten about this game. I hope I'm wrong and maybe I just need some perspective but I'd like to go over some of the issues I've seen. 1 - The inventory/stash system. It seems to me that part of the joy of this game is acquiring a whole bunch of new stuff, comparing it with old stuff, and collecting in general. If I'm right about this then seriously WTH is the current stash system. I feel limited in every way. Every rift I clear I spend a great deal of time carefully weighing what items I want to clear from my stash and which to keep. I'm still new to D3 and don't know yet what I should keep and what I shouldn't. I feel punished for picking up things - I REALLY feel like this goes against the spirit of a dungeon crawler and honestly I've NEVER felt this constrained in any Blizzard game before when it came to collecting stuff, its almost claustrophobic. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or if I'm lacking perspective. 2 - Picking up stuff vs dying instantly. It took me a while but by now I know I don't have to loot everything. What I do know is I absolutely need gems/legendaries/DBs. But I play a WW Barb (farming GR 55s/T12). If I stop WW'ing for a split second at the wrong time I get one-shotted. I'm not sure what mechanic here needs to be fixed but it really feels like something needs to be fixed. It just feels... dumb that I must be WWing every second when an enemy is remotely close for me to stay alive.
Anyway. That's my rant. I love this game so far (maybe still in the honeymoon phase) but I find myself stumbling across a variety of problematic mechanics that makes me wonder if I should ditch this game for Overwatch - something I'd rather not do because the Diablo world is just so cool. | What about a time travel retcon of D3? Posted: 01 May 2017 04:35 PM PDT I made a post about possible future story ideas for D3, and a common response I think was basically, "D3 needs to have not happened." Let's retcon this bitch using a shitty time travel plot device. Let's be clear. This is not good. It's a shitty plot device that basically borrows from all sorts of much better sources, so there's no need to tell me that. Instead, tell me your alternate idea that would allow D3 to remain canon, but allow us to undo the shitty story. Post-Malthael, a new threat arises --- cosmic beasts from another reality discover the realms of Diablo (Heaven, Sanctuary, etc.) and begin tearing reality apart, enslaving all life from the majestic angels of Heaven to the lowest scourge of hell into a Hellraiser-like torture dimension for all eternity. Hell and Sanctuary fall, and as Heaven is being destroyed and all angels being captured for an eternity of pain that makes Hell look like a picnic, the Angel of Time uses her last breath to send a message back in time. The Angel of Time's role is to protect and preserve the natural flow of time from those who would attempt to manipulate it via magic. She is sworn by the laws of Heaven to never manipulate time, even in times of disaster, or her own death. However, she breaks this vow on account that existence itself is ending, and there would be no more time for anyone to protect should this threat go uncontested. Diablo 4 begins in the last dungeon of LoD and leads up to the fight with Baal which you play out, like Dracula at the beginning of Symphony of the Night. As Tyrael winds up to throw his sword into the corrupt Worldstone as we know, but this time, time stops for all except Tyrael. The Angel of Time, unable to take corporeal form, uses the image of Cain, a human that Tyrael knows and trusts. He quickly explains the events of D3, Kulle, Malthael, etc., and ultimately this new threat. He tells Tyrael that should he destroy the Worldstone, there would indeed be peace for two decades, but that perhaps if the Worldstone still existed in 20 years, a weapon could be forged from it that might allow the realms to fight back. So instead of destroying the Worldstone, Tyrael is instructed to purify it. Unsure how, Tyrael retreats to Heaven to confer, explain what he's learned, and find a way to purify it. With the corrupt Worldstone still intact, you are thrust into keeping the armies of hell at bay while the angels figure out how to purify the Worldstone. In a story sense D4 Act I is essentially D2 Act VI. Knowing about the black soulstone and how it can be used to bring the prime evils back, part of the storyline is you visiting Kulle and restoring the prime evils so they can join you to instead strike first against the cosmic Hellraiser monster reality. Of course when that threat is quelled, all prime evils escape in a setup for an expansion. With this, D3 literally never happens, but the overall canon remains intact (Kulle, black soulstone, Malthael, etc.). [link] [comments] |

| Good places to buy Diablo 2 + TOD CD Keys? Posted: 01 May 2017 02:58 PM PDT Is there any trust worthy sites to buy Diablo 2 + ToD cd keys cheaper than Blizzard themselves? Or is Blizzard my best option? Sucks not playing for a long while and losing those keys [link] [comments] |
| Looking for people to play with Posted: 01 May 2017 02:56 PM PDT Currently an Impale DH looking for a clan or just a group of people to play with. Doesn't have to be a group looking to push super hard or anything, just want buddies to play with. I will play whatever class you're looking for, just only have DH with any gear for seasonal. I don't imagine it would take long to gear a monk or barb for zdps, just never played a support in a group so I'd need a little help in that regard. Getting bored playing solo, all my buddies that I used to play with quit. Tag is Luvaria#1971 [link] [comments] |
| Playing D3 for the first time, some thoughts on it soo far. Posted: 01 May 2017 03:38 PM PDT Well, after many years I thought I might give Diablo 3 a chance. I have only played Diablo 2 many times over in this franchise. Soo far, I'm in Act 2. I created a Witch Doctor and started the game. Lvl 1, I hold a knife and blow darts through a blowpipe. The combat seemed weird here already, I have this knife I can ATM stab mid air. But as soon I hit lvl 2 and get a AoE spell. I run around with a knife but don't use that damn thing. Eatherway, I started this game on easy and will rise the difficulty when I rememeber when I log in becaus the difficulty is not easy. It's easier than easy. I remember when the guys from blizzard compared Diablo 2s enemy AI and how easier it was than 3 after a beta version of Diablo 3 came and people complained. Well, filthy lies. Eatherway, I come into this village and help the people to get rid of the undeads. Later, I get my quest toward a fight against Leoric and save Cain, yay. After gaining more levelups and more spells I started to notice something. The mana reg is rediculus high. My pipe attack or spider jar thing doesn't cost anything, my hand AoE has a longer cooldown but mana is full after 1 sec anyway, soo it is with every spell soo far. While the quality of the loot seem simular to Diablo 2 I start to wonder if I even need it. Again, will rise the difficulty. But when we are at it, I don't know what stats/attributes I acctually need. I still don't have much clue how much the stats acctually do. I read about the game at realese and thought they killed Diablo (reference), but I also knew there was patches and changed the game and I'm clueless here what I acctually am looking for. Although, Diablo 2 gear from start was simular, it wasn't before you came to nightmare difficulty you started to "get" your endgame gear anyway. After finishing off Leoric, the whole quest for the stranger and his sword started. And I think I didn't like the Leah/story around here. It's very hard to say for now, but it's the way it's told and how some stuffs are just soooooo convenient sometimes. Eather way. I start seeng new locations. The game look nice, but it's something with the atmosphere I didn't like compared to D2s. Maby it's to light, maby it's the music, I dunno. Also an important part. I sometimes have lag, in a single player game. I thought the game would be pretty much lagfree now. But no. I have bought the new fiber network which will start being installing in this neighbourhood soo I can get better internet in the future. But even with the one I have now, I can play many other games online with little of no lag. No way I would create a hardcore character if this happens. Moving on, I already knew some of the bigger parts of the plot beforehand sadly soo I knew who the stranger was already. Killing off Cain was unnecesary IMO. Magdha or whatever this villian is is unlikeable. I mean, she seemed too cartoon villian for me. Being from first piece of the whole sword thingy to the next and be like "a fuck it, I behind the scene came to Tristram and captured all parts of the sword including cain and the story NPCs. Just wanted to tell you where we are ATM bye!" Leah CONVENIENTLY SAW THE VILLIANS MIND after the erupt she made and knew what the next location would be. I don't remember much now, there was a spider cave, leorics mansion and a fight against butcher/act boss. And again, how easy can easy be? At least Andariel and the shit ton of minions but a good fight at the start of the game. Here I just saw my mutants and poured a toxic shit or 2 on him and got the easiest boss kill on my any first playthrough on a game. Well, I don't really know how much I enjoy the game. Well at least I'm not bored and there is something that makes me wanna play some more. But it's not like something inside me jump of joy and can't wait to play some more Diablo 3. [link] [comments] |
| Just cleared a GR82 Solo with DH Shadow Impale, realistically speaking, did I hit a progress wall? Posted: 01 May 2017 08:30 AM PDT As the title says, I just cleared a GR82 Solo with about 10 seconds left. Realistically speaking, can I go even higher as a Solo DH? My gear seems to be on point, maybe a few tweaks here and there but can I aim for 90+? Is this possible for a semi-casual-semi-hardcore player? If not I will probably re-roll a new character and start gearing it up. Thanks for the feedback! [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 01 May 2017 01:01 AM PDT Hi all. In the past I've mostly played DH and with that class I just vault into the ring and do my thing, but now with playing a Crusader I started to question if I was using it correctly. I hope somebody can explain to me which if my following thoughts is the correct one (or maybe even something else is the correct one), let's take Condemn Vacuum as the spell in question:
My thoughts are saying #2 is wrong, and #3 is how the ring actually works. Anyone able to enlighten me? Thanks! edit: the same question for Blessed Hammer. Since the hammers swirl around for a bit, will the active hammers get buffed if I moved into the ring or are the only hammers buffed those cast in the ring? [link] [comments] |
| Loot box system for Cosmetic Items? Posted: 01 May 2017 11:38 AM PDT Would you like to see a loot box system for cosmetic items in D3? I'm talking about a system similar to Overwatch and HOTS 2.0 for cosmetic items like portraits, pets, pennants, banners, transmogs, etc. EDIT: I think what's good with the loot box system is that it doesn't force you to play content you don't enjoy playing. Instead of tying cosmetic rewards, to certain actions. Example, many people hate doing set dungeons, but you still want to get the green wings it rewards. Or you totally hate farming for a specific monster who drops a specific item, which means restarting the game, everytime he doesn't spawn. With the loot box system, you can just play GR's or bounties ir campaign (!) or any other content you enjoy, but still get a chance to unlock cosmetics. [link] [comments] |
| So, what's the recommendation on the easiest conquest for the season? Posted: 01 May 2017 03:26 AM PDT I'm at the point where all I've got left on this rung is "Complete 1 conquest". So what's everyone's recommendation for the easiest conquest? I'm running a DH if it makes a difference. [link] [comments] |
| Is there actually a bug with InGeom? Posted: 01 May 2017 07:08 AM PDT So, I am playing Lightning MH Wiz this Season, and pretty much I am running 82's for 3 days straight now to farm paragon, as Weapon I obviously use the InGeom. First of all: I know that you have to kill all minions from yellow groups to receive the ingeom proc! The first day I got curious, because the other 2 wizards always were faster back into archon than I was, and I asked myself why this is. I looked it up but they all roughly the same amount of cdr as I have (+/-2%) but they pretty much had archon 100% of the times because you easily kill 3 elite groups to be able to do that in 82. But I pretty much never had archon up immediately, besides killing the same groups, hitting the same mobs, I sometimes got 0 ingeom procs after killing 2 elite groups, had to spam arcane missiles for like 5-6 seconds to get back to archon, while the others just got it immediately. And this also happened after killing blue groups, so it has nothing to do with yellow packs. And exactly the same happened at the start of the season while leveling up with a friend of mine, we both played mh lightning wiz, he always had archon way faster than me, way faster! What I did: I swapped a few spells, started playing with ray of frost and black hole, stopped using arcane missiles, and some other spell, i did the same at the start of the season, I dont know, I think i used blizzard, I dont quite remember. And what has happened is actually pretty strange, now I always have archon up immediately, I dont have any problems regarding that anymore, and I dont understand why, literally nothing changed gearwise, only the spells changed.
