Every time there is a story of struggle, sweat and the mercy and kindness of some Sherpa gods. They type about a beautiful moment won through turbulence, but I read the other side. When I had no real life, I was very good at PvP, so I helped people get to the Lighthouse from time to time (mostly clanmates or irl friends). Now, I have a lot of irl things to do and am bad at PvP. I know the Lighthouse is epic and all that, but I got bored of it and just wanted the loot after a few visits. How is it for the super sweats who go every weekend? At this point in Destiny's life, what is the point of still going flawless for the super sweaty players who have every gun, armor piece with perfect rolls, and visited the house 3x a weekend or more for the past 2+ years? Sure, I imagine it is fun in a game with large gaps between content, especially when you're so good trials isn't all frustration. But really, will it hurt to give up a weekend or two to just help people get there? Then you can go back to ELO stomping and taking Lighthouse selfies, or whatever you do. Save the comments about earning it, we all know, but it's gotten significantly harder for a myriad of reasons we all know by now. I'm not talking about throwing matches or not playing, I mean just not running stacked every game, not farming ELO, not being the most majour tryhards, just playing for fun. Or helping a few people out by giving them a decent team to run with since they are adults with jobs and responsibilities and can't donate enough of their time to this game, despite wanting to, to get gud enough to "earn it". tl;dr - can we put off on the 927383rd visits to the Lighthouse at some point to see a mass migration to Mercury for those who would like to go once before D2? edit: are front page hi moms still as against the rules? | Posted: 06 May 2017 07:18 PM PDT Hi my name is Philip Cronkright and I'm an Iraqi war vet and I suffer from severe PTSD and one of the things that help me coup with having PTSD is playing the video game Destiny and joining a clan it allows me to feel like I'm back in the military which has been very hard for me to transition back over to being a civilian again. Playing as a team on raids or crucibles takes me back to my military days I enjoy being able to play Destiny and I thank the Developers of Destiny because without them and Destiny I think I would be in a mental hospital because having an outlet like Destiny really helps with my family life and my life outside of home so thank u soooooooo much Destiny. Like I want to use LFG to get a raid group going but things get too me like: talking to new people, worrying that I might be slowing things down, getting a wipe when we get so far, and other things. I mean I wish I can play with friends I have already but usually they don't even think of asking me if I want to raid. The story was coherent, the villain was well established , the rewards where great, the character of Cayde was likeable as all fuck (hail Nathan) and the post story activities like quests, patrols, the court of Oryx, the subclasses and the changes Taken King made to the core game are all phenomenal. | Posted: 07 May 2017 11:24 AM PDT I played Destiny a lot at launch but stopped playing after my first play through of VoG. I came back yesterday on a whim after I rewatched the Destiny 2 trailer. I got the Collection Edition (a complete steal on the PS Store and am so surprised by all the changes. The drop rate makes playing so much more fun (I somehow managed to get a Thunderlord from a Blue Engram). The improved interface and all the content added makes it seem like a completely different game than at launch. It could just be that it is an Xbox game, and therefore listed in the Microsoft store, but it has an install button (Greyed out presumably because it is not available to pre-load). | Posted: 07 May 2017 02:07 AM PDT Just wanted to share my experience of my first ever lighthouse trip! I am a below average to average player, with little chance of getting to mercury by myself, but I replied to a post in r/cruciblesherpas and got the opportunity to play with 2 super talented sherpas. The card went so smooth, there was zero pressure from them when I made a mistake and lots of encouragement when I did well. We got to 8-0 still with mercy intact and I had picked up a vision stone on the way, then we ran into another great team and lost a tight match, so going into the last match there was still no pressure from the guys, although I was feeling it pretty intensely! But we got through the last match with ease and I got to taste the sweet nectar of the lighthouse! One of the best feelings I have personally had in the game as it was such an unachievable task for me, but with the help of my two great sherpa's I was there. So just wanted to share with you all that the lighthouse is achievable for everyone, you might just need 2 sherpas with wide shoulders to carry your overweight arse there, and to say a massive thank you to the guys who got me there as well as all the community here on dtg and over at crucible sherpas. I saved up to purchase the Bombshell leggings and was so excited to finally be able to buy them! I thought long and hard and decided to choose these https://bungiestore.com/collections/apparel/products/bombsheller-warlock-leggings due to the fact that they were black and overall seemed like a more neutral choice. Well.... these leggings ARE NOT black!!! I know that monitor colors can be off but between 4 different monitors that i looked at these on, all of them showed black as the color. | Name Change On Twitch Will Halt Streamer Emblem Progress. Posted: 06 May 2017 07:29 PM PDT Hey all, I thought I would drop in and try to help you guys avoid the situation I am currently in. I have been working towards earning the "Can't Stop the Signal" emblem as many people have, and I started AFTER linking my account. However, some of you may be aware of the fact that Twitch implemented a name-changing option recently. I did this, and assuming that since it wasn't a new account I never re-checked my Bungie Twitch account linking. Today I thought I might be getting close but no emblem in the kiosk. Turns out, that Bungie.net does NOT recognize name changes in Twitch. You guys have to re-link your account under your new username even if technically, the account is the same one. I'm SUPER bummed that now I will be staring over in my progress. Hopefully anyone who decides to change their name in Twitch might see this and avoid making my mistake. Cheers guys! | Instant Shoulder Charge Glitch Posted: 06 May 2017 04:08 PM PDT I've got another glitch here, but it's not all sunshine and butterflies like my last one. This is one that hopefully gets patched pretty quick. This glitch allows Strikers to Shoulder Charge instantly after sprinting for only a second. How to do this glitch: Sprint, Shoot, Crouch, Melee That's it. If you do those 4 things fast enough, you can Shoulder Charge after sprinting for only a second or less. You can even run around the entire map and Shoulder Charge at the other end of it. It doesn't matter where you start your sprint. It's the Shoot, Crouch, Melee that activates the Shoulder Charge.
