Yeah, I know just another post about performance, but seriously, please. I had a little hope when I saw update 2 days ago, but in fact, not only we got nothing, but I experience even bigger fps drop. Now im doubting Valve are even planning to do something about this.

This is something what happend to me gradually. It first started after Source 2 update ( where Valve stated that low end computers are going to have better performance Kappa ) and pretty much continued till this point by every bigger update. I was managing to get around 40-50 fps by lowering graphics settings, but as you may see, it has become impossible and unbearable now, so yeah..

I know that there are many more people experiencing the same problem as I do, so dunno why are we just kinda getting silently ignored by developers

(PS: btw nice hats an no bitching cuz game is free)

As promised, I will now calculate the avarage of all the answers from this post and will post it. All in all there were 4774 predictions. Last year we also got almost the same amount of predictions.

24,056,556M is the avarage. This means that according to r/dota2, the correct prediction for the compendium is 23m-24m, or 24m-25m. It is up to you to choose between those two.

For those who want the Median, it is 24m.

Some data for those who want it

There were 4774 predictions, out of them:

17.9% were 25m, 15.8% were 24m, 19.3% were 23m, 17.5% were 22m, 6.7% were 21m, 2.6% were 20m, 3.7% were 30m, 3% were 27m, and 4.9% were 26m

There rest were so low percentage that it is not worth mentioning in the post(But yes, i did count every single one in the avarage since it does not work as well without them.)

For those who want the variance, it is 11.251

And for those who want the standard deviation it is 3.354

No, not the combos, the actual game mode.

The heroes, Treant Protector, Zeus, and Elder Titan have their old ultimate when they load in the game, in addition to the one they picked in the picking phase, which gives them TWO ultimates abilities. This can lead to game-breaking combo's such as Zeus's Thundergod's Wrath-Rearm. I know Valve is busy on other important stuff, but this should be one of the top priorities, because this is an official game mode.

He seems normal in most ways. He talks in complete sentences, in most ways he is socially capable and a functioning member of society. But today he told me not to get any more kills unless they were solokills. I asked "Why?". WELL, as it turns out:

He thinks compendium challenges give more points if you get 1 star first, then 2 stars, and then 3 stars.

I've never felt such pity for another person before. Firstly because this isn't his first compendium, he bought the winter compendium while I took a break. This must have made his life shittier by a factor of one trillion, months January to April. 4 months of losing games because he wouldn't participate in kills, 4 months of not buying any wards after the first 8 observers, only to queue next game and place 12 wards. Secondly, it's SO EASY TO SPOT. One proper look at the post-game screen. He must have closed it down as soon as it popped up every single time. But it hurts most of all, just thinking about how much was actually wasted. Each challenge, three times, and if 3-starred the challenge in his first try, he'd likely have this disappointed feeling of missing sweet compendium points.

 

To conclude this, I don't hate him, in spite of this fiery searing feeling I have in my gut since I found out. I think we're still friends. I haven't talked to him since he told me.
