This is how my settings in DayZ launcher looks: http://imgur.com/GgBDUds As you can see the Arma II path is normaly there,while AO is gone. From what i know this is a common problem but i can not find any valuable solution,so if anyone knows more please help

I had to use the glitch in order to survive. I tried so long. My friend died of food poisoning because he ate worms to end his hunger.

Edit: Everyone is talking about apple trees. I do find trees, I do pick apples but it takes way too long. There has been times where I searched 40-50 trees in an orchard and found only a few apples. It takes too much time.

Need help with cooking chicken.

Yesterday I cooked two pieces of chicken over a fire with a long wooden stick. Burnt one of them but still ate them both. Then my character says "I feel sick" I tried taking some Vitamins because the first time I got sick I took Vitamins and ate some different food right after to get energized and the sickness wore off eventually. This time however I didn't have any extra food so I could only get hydrated, I still took some Vitamins but those didn't seem to help this time. And about an hour later my sickness was red and my character passed out. Buddy tried to make it back to camp to give CPR but the server reset before he could make it. So how do I properly cook chicken in the future to avoid this? Because it's gotten me sick twice both times now.

Any place for Catapults and Black eyes?

Catapults/slingshots + stones/ballbearings could be used to distract zombies away from where you want to loot, or even knock zombies down or stun them

They wouldn't be that powerful against a player but if the player was low on health a full pull back headshot could knock them out or stun them - wearing a helmet would give full protection mad only knock one damage grade down from a hit.

Crafted slingshot - Blackwidow slingshot

stones low grade shot - ballbearings high grade shot - distance/damage doubled

Good for hunting chickens/rabbits

Black-eyes would show that players had a recent beating, had been in a fight, or shot in the face.

It was just after sundown on a cold night in Chernarus, whilst making my way through Cherno in search of a tent or safe place to stay for the night.

I made my way through town with no luck scavenging all the houses that I could enter without attracting the undead. Cherno was ridden with undead, there was no safe haven for me to spend the night and no luck finding a tent.

As I left town in despair, the sun was now just barely shinning over the northern hills and I knew I had to do something fast, I thought to myself "check the apartments". It was my last chance before heading into the dark woods and desperately hopeing for the best.

I searched every floor hopeing to find anything, a tarp, a tent or even just a blanket to keep myself warm. First floor.. nothing, second floor.. nothing. I headed to the top floor and to my surprise I found a tent, not just any tent however. This tent was pitched in the middle of the room, someone had a camp set up inside this appartment.

With the sun setting faster and faster by the minute I began rushing to break down the tent, this was my saving grace!

I put the tent in my bag and began rushing out, then out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of red. In the washroom was an old rusty barrel. I now had a few extra minutes to spare knowing I would be able to set up camp out in the woods with your tent.

Again I'm sorry, but this was the first time in weeks I had found clean clothing, and a loaded gun with extra mags. I changed into the clean dry clothes and took your MP5 with me. Among your supplies I also took some loose netting, your axe and a few cans of food.

I left you with plenty of your food and water to survive, I didn't want to be the cause of another survivor like myself perishing away with nothing to eat or drink.

I am grateful for all the supplies you've blessed me with and I honestly wish you the best of luck.

My only suggestion for you next time is that you think wisely before setting up camp so close to town inside an apartment that survivors explore in hope of finding supplies.
