| Posted: 19 Apr 2017 09:42 AM PDT https://us.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/20754365397 I, and a lot of other Discipline priests, are greatly concerned about the up-coming changes, and to avoid a "the sky is falling" mentality I will not say I believe it will kill the spec, however I do not believe they are helping us when that is their intention. We are the rarest healer spec in the game and as such we have difficulty having a large enough playerbase to have as strong a voice as say a Holy / Shadow priest, or other specs. I am making this thread for two reasons, first I want to bring this attention to fellow disc priests so they can know about it and provide feedback on how they think the changes may help / hinder us, and secondly I know people want to test the new changes but we simply don't have enough man power to do raids on the PTR. If anyone is willing to help with the PTR raids please post below. Thank you for reading. [link] [comments] | ||

| "Lesser Known" Addons You Can't Live Without - 7.2 Edition Posted: 19 Apr 2017 12:46 PM PDT Hello guys, There have been a lot of great threads in the past of people sharing "lesser known" addons that they love, that others may not know about. Since I haven't seen one about addons updated to still function fine in 7.2, I thought it's about time for another one. Besides, some people may not have seen the other threads and could find some great addons for the first time! I'll start with my list: AutoLootPlus - Speeds up the default AutoLoot feature EasyDeleteConfirm - Gives you an "Are you sure - Yes/No" option instead of having to type "Delete" on items DejaCharacterStats - Provides improved character stats panel (shows some hidden by default UI such as movement speed) - this one is actually quite commonly known, but just in case, i'll add it as it's been invaluable to me. Thanks to all who contribute, and I hope you find something you like! [link] [comments] | ||
| Shadow Priest AoE: Please give us back Mind Sear Posted: 19 Apr 2017 09:49 AM PDT The Broken Shore WQ Creepy Crawlies is a pain to do solo as a shadow priest. I miss Mind Sear because it didn't need a requirement to produce AoE damage, no shadow word: pain, just push and go. The grubs have such little HP that SW: P instantly kills them so I can't use Mind Flay to AoE them down. So I have to DoT every.... single......one. Yes I could use a tome or go back to a rest area to change one single talent but I shouldn't have to. Please give us back Mind Sear or at least have mind flay AoE on its own with less damage if SW: P is not applied. Mind you, MF doesn't AoE damage on the first tick, it would also be nice if it did. | Blizzard please update the mounting animation. Posted: 19 Apr 2017 06:28 AM PDT I think it is finally damn time for blizzard to update the mounting animation. There are tons of mounts where it does not at all fit how you mount them. But no matter which mount you pick, you are always sitting on it like you are sitting on a slowly walking horse. And preferably on the highest spot which can look weird. Just to name some examples; we got these fel bats, the guldan mount, that big mount from WoD and all the reskins of it. It would be way cooler if the animation would fit the mount, for the bats maybe sit deeper on the back and more bent forward, like holding yourself on the bat with feet and hands. Yeah well that's it basically! [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 19 Apr 2017 03:51 AM PDT (Disclaimer: Gotta love Paladins; English isn't my first language; as always read this with the voice of John Cleese, David Attenborough or Morgan Freeman) About the project: These articles aim to gather all relevant information about the Azeroth wildlife. Each class will be analysed and characterised in a mocking review. Currently written articles: Introduction The Paladin is one of the oldest classes in Azeroth. These shiny creatures populated nearly all regions of the world and thus have a quite interesting history. General overview and characterisation: The family of the Paladin (Paladini Familia) are quite visual beings, easily recognisable in the wild because of constant shiny effects surrounding them, even when poking their nose. Paladin social behaviour and culture These sparky individuals are quite socially active, ranging from large herds to single dominant beings shouting at other animals (e.g. raid leader). Paladins get along very well with nearly every other class in the wild because of their helpful nature. Often you can encounter a Paladin in the open world, befriending other faction players with spells. Paladins are very slow creatures that lack any kind of notable mobility. Yet, if threatened, a Paladin will usually escape a predator of the upper food chain with 'Bubblehearth', quickly disappearing and returning safely to their nest. Early Paladin evolution: Paladini buffbottu vanilla The first Paladin species in Azeroth found a niche early. Just like Pilot Fishes, this variation had a symbiotic relationship with all other large class herds. Usually they remained in a subconscious state while mindlessly following the raid, only waking up to occasionally buff their partners once Blessing of Might/Wisdom expired. Other specialisations in early Vanilla: The early predecessors of the 'Prot' and 'Ret' struggled to find a niche, as the 'Dev-olution' didn't equip them with a functioning toolkit. Therefore, these variations remained in an undeveloped state throughout the Vanilla Mesozoic. A notable mutation, called the 'Paladini Leeroyolo', was roaming the Upper Blackrock Spire but quickly went extinct due to lack of reason. Newer Paladin evolution: Paladini holyolo The so-called 'Holy Paladin' is a peaceful sub species. It doesn't kill anything but likely itself, standing next to their fellow players and the most deadly enemies in Azeroth (see 'suicidal tendencies'). A 'Holy Paladin' that doesn't stand in proximity to other beings feels punished and will like develop a depression if kept alone. You can find a Paladini Holyolo in every large organized group in Azeroth as their symbiotic relationship dictates them to stay in a swarm or herd. Paladini retributicci The 'Ret Paladin' is a quite vicious and jugdmental mutation in the Paladini family. It has an impressive damage capability, which never gets to full use because a 'Ret' is more of a slow and static being, usually being kited around by other classes. Somehow nature equipped them with loads of useful abilities that are sadly neglected by other group members or their fellow 'LOLrets'. The 'Ret Paladins' are shy creatures, but every patch cycle they gather at the forum waterhole to collectively whine. Paladini Tankadinus The 'Prot Paladin' or more commonly known as the 'Tankadin' is a special variation in the family. It is a quit neatly creature as it tends to 'consecrate' its surrounding constantly. It also likes flashy stuff, that's why it abandoned any concept of rotation to keep hitting every CD that is up (e.g. 'myth of priority). It managed to claim a steady spot in the food chain of tanks. Rumors suggest nature planned to give it a flying ability given the rudimentary vestigial wings, but its sheer mass of ego might be the reason why it was never able to take off. | The latest quest with Anduin is the kind of quest we need more of in this period of the game Posted: 19 Apr 2017 02:26 AM PDT ToS is still a while away, and while I'm glad for a chance to play my alts, I'm looking for a few more things to do in between World Quests and Mythic+. Then along comes Anduin's quest. I haven't even had a chance to play it because I have no high level Alliance characters, but following the chain on Wowhead and watching the cinematic it answers some key questions. "What has Anduin been doing since the first assault on the Broken Shore?", "How has he been taking his father's death?". It all culminates in a beautiful cinematic, and it felt satisfying. There are so many unanswered questions in Legion right now. Half of the faction leaders are MIA. The stuff with Sylvanas and Greymane in Stormheim never gets fully resolved... What deal did Sylvanas make with Helya? Now that Helya's dead does it even matter? The Horde has Sylvanas as a leader, but what has she done to assure them she's loyal to them? The Orcs and the Trolls are both sort of leaderless, so what are they going to do? Saurfang would make a great leader, but his heart is heavy. He lost one Warchief to his own madness, and another to demons, and in the Warrior Class Campaign you can see that weighs heavily on him. And unless Vol'Jin had any family we didn't know about, there's no clear runner for a new leader. I'm not suggesting the devs need to make huge quest chains answering these right now, but small quest chains, like Anduin's questline, would be very welcome. Just something small to show that they are thinking about these hanging questions. That they didn't just introduce these ideas and forget about them. Something to show the world is still going on and living, even with the Legion's invasion. [link] [comments] | ||
