Skyrim - Someone requested that I draw an Argonian wearing vampire armor and a Redguard hood, wielding a scimitar. Done with imitation alcohol markers (Ohuhu) and ink pen. Hope you like it.

The "Soul Stealer" perk seemed like a good idea at the time...

Killed a dragon in Solitude and the guards tried to stuff it down the sewer.

An innovative way to fight Dragons

Posted: 01 Apr 2017 09:36 PM PDT

I recently started a new character and was going through the motions of killing the first dragon etc. When I had an idea. I sprinted over to the Giant's camp, and led them towards the western watchtower. The result; an epic Dragon vs. Giant brawl, without having to lift a finger myself. It was a fun way to spice up the monotony of the early game.

Alternate ideas for civil war paths other than helping imperials or stormcloaks

Posted: 01 Apr 2017 11:05 PM PDT

Capitalist option- track down and hire every mercinary, sellsword and hired thug in skyrim and take contol of skyrim with your personal army, quests in this path would involve bribing and manipulating politicons to help you/betray the othersides

Bandit option bandits are probably the most common faction in skyrim and by uniting all the bandits you could take skyrim and rle it as a violent crime boss dictator

Native option - unite the falmer and the forsworn to reclaim skyrim.

Mage option-unite the necromancers and other rough spellcasters of skyrim to conquer skyrim and turn it into a utopia for spell casters

Social revolution unite the poor, downtrodon and minoritys of skyrim agaist their opressors and instigate a socialist uprising

Town Guards: What's going on with them?

Posted: 02 Apr 2017 07:31 AM PDT

For the longest time, I thought town guards were equivalent to a local police force; they have commanding officers, jails, barracks and I assumed they were all local to their Hold. But certain dialogue I've heard guards speak seems to rebuff that.

Guards will speak of being posted to different towns. Guards in Winterhold will mention they used to be Riften Guards. Guards in Markarth will complain about being posted there as the beds are made of stone. Guards in Windhelm will mention Rorikstead as being a boring posting for a guard.

To me, this sounds like Guards are more akin to the National Guard or an autonomous military force. But who is deciding how they get posted to what town? I don't see a guard headquarters, only local barracks.

Are town guards all under the command of the High King/Queen? That might explain why guards will look the other way when you notify them you are Thane, but they also caution that a Jarl's influence has it's limits. But then again, why would they be hostile to imperial soldiers or stormcloaks respectively if they were apolitical?

Guards make no sense.
