When being observed, a door which is opened by the player only triggers an update from the bottom block but if opened by redstone it updates both.

I get "Minecraft Nausea." I have no idea why.

Posted: 04 Apr 2017 04:37 PM PDT

I love Minecraft, and in fact I'm probably going to be using it in a future classroom for teaching. But something about it kills me: I get violently ill after playing it for more than about twenty minutes.

I spend a lot of time playing computer games: X-Plane, War Thunder, Transport Fever, etc... lots of potentially mind-screwing movement in 3D environments. But nothing kicks off the nausea like beautiful Minecraft.

My computer handles Minecraft >60FPS. I am able to fly in X-Plane all the way down to ten frames per second without having any visual or physiological response (usually just frustration). But with Minecraft, I get sick.

Just wondering if I'm alone in this weird isolated phenomenon or if others have experienced this.

HELP!! Can't play minecraft

Posted: 04 Apr 2017 08:02 PM PDT

I'm wondering if there is anyone here who could help me. I recently installed minecraft on my new computer and it was working fine for a month. All of a sudden it started crashing my pc whenever I world load a save or create a new world. I have already tried reinstalling minecraft and java, and I have tried lower graphics and chunks but it doesn't work. I have also tried playing on different versions of minecraft but to no avail.

However, I was able to create a flat world, but I can't create any normal worlds. As soon as I load the world my pc just turns off.

Forgotten Minecraft Youtube Series

Posted: 04 Apr 2017 07:57 PM PDT

About 3-4 years ago I used to watch these two minecraft youtubers who had a series where they were on two custom islands right next to each other in the middle of the ocean. Every episode they would have a challenge like who can craft a cake first or who can mine 64 diamonds first. The only other things I can remember about the series are that the two guys had British or maybe Irish accents, and that at the end of the first season they sailed across the ocean to some medieval village on the coast.
