| Posted: 30 Mar 2017 09:44 PM PDT Use fully kitted M4 with 60 stanag to kill a cow. Put knife in hand, cut up cow, cow fills inside of Coyote bag. Put knife away and run 400 meters up hill. Realize you had been double carrying with m4 in hand and mp5 on back because you forgot to put mp5 back in Coyote. So dropped m4 on the ground when you put knife in hand. Spend 1 hour unsuccessfully looking in grass for m4 before logging off in self loathing. [link] [comments] | ||
| Guns!? You can keep your damn guns! Posted: 30 Mar 2017 02:41 PM PDT Take them. Collect and Hoard them all. Grip onto your safety blanket and pretend a shred of control still exists in your little bubble. You can have your damn guns. They've caused nothing but trouble since the infected took over our God Forsaken world! Most of these hellspawn can take a shit ton of lead in them and still run at you full force. Need to stay calm when looking death itself in the eyes and try to put one in their head. I've watched from afar, safely away from your madness while you all scattered around trying to collect your guns. You put yourself in danger scrambling to find them. As if that wasn't bad enough, you will risk your ass for a handful of bullets at best. Like it makes a difference. When you use them, swarms from every direction run at you full force. Death has no stamina to slow it down. May as well tie some fresh steaks to your back and try to run through a wolf den. I find it amusing, as sad as it may be. Watching you all down in the cities trying to secure your ticket to surviving. It reminds me of some of those reality TV shows my wife and I use to watch back before this world went to hell. I've rooted for some of you to get out alive, as funny as that sounds coming from me, now. I've lost all trust in man but still cling on to my empathy. I was you before. Trying to get my ticket. My wife paid the price. So take all the damn guns you can hold. You wont get no trouble for me. Not that you'll see me. I'm off your radar. You're down in the cities still trying to survive - but I'm out in the wilderness living. It's not the infected that you need to protect yourself from. It's the greed of man. As long as you collect that nice cache of those damned guns, you'll never be safe. If you survive long enough to realize the truth - come find me. I'll show you how to really survive in this wasteland. Until then; good luck on your collection. I've been watching you, and I am rooting for you. Regards. [link] [comments] | ||

| Way of a Wanderer - The story of Frankie Paige Posted: 31 Mar 2017 08:47 AM PDT For a man to survive the first days of the apocalypse, luck must be used. But as a matter of fact, Frankie was never lucky. The Ex-Engineer came to Chernarus to do his first real job, one that would give him loads of dollars. It was a simple job: Go to that country, repair an big oil pipe, get back. Well, at least the plan was easy, because as we all know now, Frankie was never the luckiest man in the world. For a job that could be done in less than two weeks, judged by the extension of the oil pipe that was malfunctioning, it took a month and a half to complete, due to mechanical errors, untrustworthy equipment and finally: Bad leadership from his boss, which seemed to hate the kid because of a certain accident involving his wife and Frankie's hands, but that's a story for another time. After a not so well done job, it was finally time to rest and go back to the USA, where he would get that big paycheck on his bank account. He could already see that new car on his garage, a beautiful lady sitting on his couch, and, and... Frankie's imagination was going to far places, like he was living some sort of dream, but he wasn't, and I'd say that you already know why. The city where the crew was staying, Novigrad, was having constant Black Outs and power shortages everywhere, along with high traffic problems and public services everywhere. Frankie learned form his english-speaking neighbor that there was some sort of disease outside, a rapid spreading virus. His crew immediately thought about going to the airport and getting to their plane fast, but that was too bad, because it was already closed, alongside with every single dock on the coast. At that exact moment, they panicked. Fights between each other erupted, trying to decide what to do. Three of the 10 decided to leave with one of the three cars, whilst the rest decided to stay at the apartment. They had seem that movie before: 'Major disease outbreak occurs, people try to flee from cities, die in their way because of traffic'. They were all nerds after all. They called every single neighbor from the building to join them at their apartment, that was the biggest one from the entire city block, and stocked supplies inside a small backroom. If that virus was a true story, and if it was spreading, it wouldn't take long before it would hit the capital city, as they calculated, so they waited, and waited... And waited. About one week later, after the infected were already roaming the streets of Novigrad, and pure caos was issuing, they needed more food. Two men decided to go out and search for it, armed only with a kitchen's knife, a bat and a frying pan. Enough to strike down an army. Let's only say that the only one that returned was the guy that took the frying pan. Clever man. Frankie was the first one to ask what the hell happened, but the man couldn't even speak. He was in shock after what he'd been trough. His pants were covered in blood, his face was filled with dirt and mud, and half of his sweater was teared off. He didn't speak for a whole day, before finally sleeping, only to wake up the next morning and tell everything to everyone: "There are cops shooting civilians. They are coming to us. It's my fault.". A plan needed to be done, and fast. They got a map on the table and surrounded it like geeks playing D&D, but that wasn't a table-top game, it was survival. One bad move, and they were all dead, much like chess. The goal was not to kill the kind, but to move their troop out of the board, or, to get the hell out of that city. [link] [comments] | ||
| Will DayZ ever regain it's players? Posted: 30 Mar 2017 08:23 PM PDT I really enjoy DayZ and the vast world of Chernarus, but I am kinda concerned because it seems like a lot of people have changed their opinions on the game. For an example, the reviews on Steam have tanked and I've also noticed a bunch of people on YouTube quit playing it. I guess I'm just wondering if the game will ever regain momentum. What do you guys think? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 31 Mar 2017 03:26 AM PDT I have a pristine raincoat and wellies and if I wear the raincoat, I will become hot instantly even if I am inside and not moving. I take off the raincoat and the "hot" goes away, I wait 10 minutes and put the coat back on and the "hot" comes back within seconds. [link] [comments] | ||
| Why is my guy suddenly out of breath so fast? Posted: 30 Mar 2017 02:03 PM PDT Yesterday i could run across 3 fields before having extreme panting but now my guy walks across the street and its like he ran a marathon. Is there someting im missing? [link] [comments] | ||
| Question about the PSO-1-1 Scope Posted: 30 Mar 2017 03:07 PM PDT So, I found a PSO-1-1 Scope for my AKM, and after looking up how to use it, I think I understand how it works with the chevrons and all. However, what am I supposed to do after knowing the range? The PSO-1-1 only has 1 marked triangle, as opposed to the PSO-1 which has 3 (I believe), so you end up having to judge the distance yourself. Is this an intentional downgrade from the PSO-1 or am I missing something? [link] [comments] | ||
| Crazyidea to stop tents getting stolen... Posted: 30 Mar 2017 10:15 PM PDT fill your tent with crap items like piles of rags, so that they take up all 250 slots... no one will be bothered to empty the place out... [link] [comments] | ||
| Tents, Barrels, Storage & Lategame gear storing Posted: 30 Mar 2017 10:26 AM PDT Does anyone have any tips on these topics? I have tents set-up in a fairly decent spot (IMO) and they remained untouched for about a week or so, but have started to be raided (not a lot, just some mags and a bunch of ammo + food gone.) What can I do? They know about my tents and I don't want to store anything there anymore. Things keep getting stolen, making it impossible to store much more than empty mags and some other stuff. Is there anyone that has experience on this that can help me? I would love to get some storage set up so I can actually achieve something when I look around for PVP and not just have to leave good items around in the meantime. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 30 Mar 2017 12:57 PM PDT I notice that some hunting stands will have new loot really soon, so I was thinking maybe I could keep in the same town for a few days until I find one, or do barrels spawn in a different pattern to other objects? [link] [comments] |
