You attack faster with the default knife.

Posted: 30 Mar 2017 04:20 AM PDT

After doing some testing offline with the bot_mimic 1 command, I've found that the bots are able to use their knives to attack (from switching), faster than my Bayonet (even with the delay between host and mimic).

When I unequipped my knife skin, the mimic command seemed to work as intended, the host gets the first attack, followed shortly by the bot's mimicked action.

I have attached a video demonstrating this below.

I am unsure if this is the case with other knives as I don't have other knives I can test this with.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DKp7CQM1bs&feature=youtu.be

edit

To clarify, when switching to the knife from a weapon, the default knife is able to attack faster compared to a bayonet in the same scenario (at least from my findings).

The Karambit

The speed seems to line up with the default knives: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K1jE8Ww7tLg (credits to /u/El_Trigr)

Essential Smokes for Pugs and MM

Posted: 30 Mar 2017 06:12 AM PDT

Hey guys,

So I noticed that I tend to forget smoke line ups a lot. I like finding smokes and watching youtube tutorials, but there are so many when I actually get to play a match I forget most of them anyway. So I thought I'd make some Imgur Albums with the essential smokes you need if you want to be somewhat succesful. I tried to limit myself to 5 smokes per map, only on Overpass I had to include one more.

Cache

Cobblestone

Dust2

Inferno

Mirage

Nuke

Overpass

It's a standard standing left click throw if not otherwise specified

What this wants to achieve

  • Easy, reproducable line ups for the most important smokes. There are no jump throws, no view model line ups etc.

  • Give a way to look up smokes when loading a match without having to click through 10 minute youtube videos of guys slashing their Karambit at the wall

  • All the smokes land virtually perfectly. There are no gaps in any of those smokes, and they are always at the right depth to stop CTs from playing around them.

What this doesn't achieve

  • Be an ultimate list of useful smokes. I ommited a lot because I found them too situational or to hard to throw consistently. Also this list contains the smoke I find important, other people may see this differently.

  • There are no fake smokes and no one way smokes in this. Also no pop flashes and only one Molotov.

I look forward to your feedback. Maybe you feel I left an important smoke out, or you find one I included not really important. Also no smokes for Train, because I hardly ever play it.

Props go out to adren, cruxal and WarOwl, I stole a lot from you guys.

All skin makers of the spectrum, glove and gamma 1 & 2 cases are yet to receive their prototype keys.

Posted: 30 Mar 2017 05:35 AM PDT

Basically, when you submit a skin to the workshop and it gets accepted in game, you will receive a key like this.

The makers of the skins in the latest cases didn't get these keys, seems like valve forgot to add them?

Edit: the keys are delivered, thanks valve!

They're lurking..

There should be a "all team grenade trajectory" when you practice maps with your team

Posted: 30 Mar 2017 03:24 PM PDT

Hello everyone,

we trained with the team and had still the problem that the host only have trajectory...

they should implement a "all server visitors" cathegory to give all nade trajectory for training purposes.

I know its a small idea but maybe someone will find it here and maaaaayyyybeeee.... update... :D

Remove kick option when 2 players left with 3 bots

Posted: 30 Mar 2017 05:10 AM PDT

Who selects to kick the other player first succeeds and the other player has no chance of voting no. So is basically an instant kick from the other guy in your team. It shouldn't be possible because it isn't fair when there's just two players left in the team and yourself can't do anything about it.

Can we get something like gift wraps in CS?

Posted: 30 Mar 2017 06:48 AM PDT

As we all know,a lot of us like to give gifts to our mates, sometimes because of their birthday and sometimes for no reason at all, just to make them happy, because you know,it's just friendship.

This Tuesday i gave a Falchion Knife to my best mate because he was celebrating his 19th birthday, and it was kinda weird sending it via a trade offer rather than a wrapped up gift.

DotA 2 already has Gift Wraps feature since a long time,so why can't we have something similar in CS:GO aswell ? :)
