Posted: 21 Feb 2017 08:10 AM PST After some trial and error, we've refined the requirements for Community Raids. If you've messaged modmail in the past few weeks asking about these raids and haven't received a response, please message us again - I've been sick for a few weeks and haven't been able to respond to people as much as I'd like. I should be able to get everyone sorted out now though! Community raids are meant to help people who might not get into a raid otherwise see the content, while being lead by an experienced leader who can explain boss mechanics and strategies. This option is also open to those who'd like to help others learn about PvP in battlegrounds and arenas. Community raids are not a substitute for LFG or for finding people to fill a permanent raid roster.Community raids have:

How to kill heroic gul'dan in a pug (strategy) Posted: 21 Feb 2017 12:04 PM PST I've been running heroic gul'dan in pugs for a few weeks now and I've managed to bring many players through that were lower ilvl than most pugs or lacked aotc. A tank who ran with my group this week started the night 6/10H. Gul'dan died in 10 wipes. Most "experienced" pugs know the gist of the fight but the gist is what causes a 5-10% wipe. There are some specifics that vastly improve success. I'm hoping this can help more pugs get through. Before we get started, this is focused on people who have been through to phase 3 but can't get over the hump. A video / attempts in any group will help you understand the basics of the encounter better than these tips. This is for the people wiping in P3. Second, you need voice. Unless you are like a full 905 group with multiple kills, so much shit can go wrong. Someone making reminder calls makes a huge difference. P1
P2
P3
P3 Soul Soaking
Of note, other successful pugs have such high dps they kill him before the 3rd black harvest. For those of you around 890-895, this is a pipe dream so strong execution and soul soaking is your ticket to victory. Parts of this strat won't come out pretty on WCL but they will get you kill week in and week out. A strong raid caller for these "corner case" moments and reminding everyone who should currently soak goes a long way. Any questions, hit me up. [link] [comments]

So... when is Blizzard gonna fix Fjarnskaggl? Posted: 21 Feb 2017 08:30 AM PST Basically, everytime i farm Fjarnskaggl in Stormheim theres a 50% chance roughly of it just not giving items at all. The node doesnt dissapear, and you can herb it, but it doesnt give items. It has been this way for several months, and im not the only one with this issue. I have multiple members in my guild and my previous guild who had this issue. It is extremely frustrating to farm when your not even guaranteed herbs from the herbs. I opened a ticket once, but didnt really recieve a good response. I guess this is a "Blizz PLS" post. [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Feb 2017 06:13 AM PST I have run a lot of CoS10-15 and here are a few tip for people interested in small optimizations beyond "have a comp that can use the buffs". Hopefully some people find them useful! 1) If you are on someone else's passenger mount and the mount-owner is pulled into the boat at the beginning of the instance then you will be dropped in the water and you can mount up on a water strider to reach the beginning of the instance slightly faster. 2) Scouts deal a nasty dot on the first person to aggro them, no matter how fast they are taunted after. So be ready for that or let the tank aggro them. 3) If you are unable to stun a scout you can interrupt the "sound the alarm" cast. The scout will not recast it and will simply melee the tank until killed. 4) The engineering (Goblin/Gnomes also) orb that disables all robots is now able to spawn in M+! Check for it, the robots suck. 5) The adds that the first boss summons if you do not deactivate the last three pillars are easy to handle (usually) so you can save time by pulling the boss sooner. 6) You can skip the robot after the first boss by simply running past it, it will not chase you into the second boss area. I usually kill it though. 7) If the broken trap is repaired (hunter or blacksmith) while a miniboss is stood on it then it will kill that miniboss without being consumed. This means it can be used to quick kill two minibosses. 8) THEORY: Since 7.1.5 it seems that you will always get at least one offensive (haste/crit/dmg) and one defensive (hp/damage reduction) buff available. 9) If you wipe on the last boss, buff items that cannot be triggered by your party will become usable. 10) There is a stealthed Dust Lily Agent that stands on the last boss' balcony after you kill him and will teleport you out of the instance. EDIT, more tips: An enforcer can spawn in any of the four "corners", when killed another will spawn after a fixed time in one of the other three corners. Be careful about pulling enforcers out of their spawn-corner as this enables a new enforcer to spawn on top of you. You can avoid the charge the last boss does by being at max range and running, using a speed increase if not at max range, or blinking out of the way. This reduces damage taken on that fight a LOT. DPS spec stats after 1 month in Nighthold Posted: 21 Feb 2017 09:58 AM PST So after a month in Nighthold this is currently where the specs stand at the 75th percentile in both heroic and mythic difficulties. Note that there are still a fairly limited amount of parses for mythic in general. This is a bit interesting and can start a discussion based on Nighthold fights and spec performance judging by the differences in damage as well as number of parses of these specs. Blizzard seems to be balancing specs fairly well for the most part and tweaking will always happen throughout the game's future. Heroic Parses: 3,237,135 Median DPS: 613,321.6 dps (Balance Druid / Arms Warrior) Warcraft Logs by Normalized Scores: http://i.imgur.com/BJpd4QC.png Warcraft Logs by DPS: http://i.imgur.com/Dmkb1G6.png High outliers (> ~3% or ~18k dps higher than median):

Months into Legion, what class did you say you would main at launch? What class are you playing now? Posted: 21 Feb 2017 03:36 AM PST I saw an older post I made saying I would main a Hunter or Paladin at launch. I remember release night sitting on my Hunter while waiting for the Broken Shores to open up, then immediately switching to Paladin. As soon as I hit 110 on my Paladin, I wasn't satisfied with the playstyle and hopped over to my Monk. Months later, here I sit with multiple 110s and no distinguishable main. My Monk, however, is my furthest progressed. How about you, redditors? [link] [comments]
I opened 1040 Heart-Shaped Boxes this year and still don't have the Big Love Rocket. AMA. Posted: 20 Feb 2017 06:46 PM PST As the title says, this year I opened an astounding one thousand forty(1040) Heart-Shaped Boxes from the Love is in the Air holiday boss. I still do not have the mount from the box, the Big Love Rocket despite farming for it every year since it was introduced. With the new scaling this year I was able to utilize all my alts on my main account and 27 alts on a second account under the same b.net login to reach the number of 1040 boxes for the year. I am officially bummed out by the results of all the hours sunk into this endeavor but I knew going in that this might happen. AMA. [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Feb 2017 07:29 AM PST All the classes get an order hall, an artifact weapon, followers, lore and more. Does that mean Blizzard doesn't intend to release a new class for a long time? Maybe only hero classes that start at the previous level cap? I think it's going to be weird leveling a non-hero class through legion without an artifact/order hall/followers, and it would suck even more if they retcon (add all those features for the new class) and say they helped fight the legion all along.
