Twisted Fate's flashy Zhonya-Gate escape was removed in V1.0.0.120. Why can Ryze do the exact same thing when he's much stronger?

Posted: 21 Feb 2017 10:36 AM PST

Title says it all.

Did anyone else see Jensen do it against TSM in the second game?

I don't get it how someone who is a much better teamfighter than TF, has an at least equally strong laning phase (since I'm Silver, I'll let the Challenjours give the verdict on whether it's stronger, it's definitely not worse) and has a Gate which can carry his whole team has a guaranteed escape with that trick when it was deemed too powerful in the hands of Twisted Fate.

Now, now, I'm not asking for Ryze nerfs to his kit, only for this interaction to be either removed from him or added back to TF, he's been lackluster for quite some time now.

Ivern Mechanic not everyone seems to understand

Posted: 21 Feb 2017 05:29 AM PST

I see this happening quite often and now even in a Pro game it happened and it could've actually made the difference to win the game. Talking about the UOL vs G2 with the very close call in the end, UOL fails to destroy the nexus on a few hp and G2 takes the game.

Now what is this mechanic I am talking about. Usually when controlling any kind of pets, from Tibbers to Morde ghost many people tend to control them by pressing R on the desired destination or target. HOWEVER here is where it gets tricky, pressing R on the INHIBITORS or NEXUS will cause Daisy to not attack it but instead walk towards it and do nothing.

As you can see in this case in their game, take a look at what daisy is doing: https://youtu.be/Wuy2_8ZruWY?t=5m59s

What you have to do instead is hold ALT and then press RIGHT click on the nexus or inhibitor and it will make Daisy attack the target.

There are perhaps people who already know this but since I saw it happening in a PRO game I decided to make a post about it anyway.

TLDR; To attack the Nexus and Inhibitor as Daisy and other pets don't press R but hold alt and right click on the target, R will cause them to not attack it. Towers are fine however.

Lore Power Levels Day Two: Transcended Tier

Posted: 21 Feb 2017 02:31 PM PST

Hey guys I am back for day two of the series, with the God Tier out of the way we can keep moving down the line. Before I get started I would like to thank everyone who is enjoying these lists. Next up is the Transcended Tier, but first here are the tiers again.
Tiers: God, Transcended, Harbinger, Magus, Mortal
A reminder that this list is based upon the CURRENT lore. No Summoners, no League, no Summoner's Rift. Cinematics not on the Rift are acceptable. Just as a reminder, Jax's win streak is not canon, and as thus doesn't matter. The same thing goes for Nasus being a world smashing demigod, any fan theories, etc. All lore is retrieved from canon sources, such as Riot's website or in game abilities, which champions should naturally be able to do outside of it with varying power level.
Also this is uploaded in pieces to prevent one overly long post. Hell this one alone was three and a half pages in Google Docs.

Transcended Tier: Champions in this tier are beings of incredible power, capable of leveling cities or even countries single handedly. Each being in this tier possess a form of immortality but are obviously not gods and have power limited to Runeterra. This tier is divided into four sub-tiers: Ascended, Angelic, Frozen, and Demonic, each with their own reasons of missing the God Tier, ranging from limitations, to power that was not innate, to a lack of feats meriting placement in the God Tier.
Champions in Transcended Tier: 10
Champions: Aatrox, Azir, Anivia, Morgana, Kayle, Lissandra, Xerath, Renekton, Nasus, Tahm Kench

The Ascended: The Ascended are beings of incredible power granted by the power of the sun itself, or more specifically, the giant Sun Disk that harnesses the star's power. While not invincible or immortal, they come as close as possible as a mortal could reasonably get. The Ascended are left out of the God Tier for two reasons. Reason one is that their power is granted from an outside source, the Sun Disk, so their power is not innate. The second reason is they have limitations of Ascension, meaning they can't impact a whole cosmos, only a whole world.
Champions: Azir, Nasus, Renekton, Xerath
Azir: The last Emperor of Shurima is the most recently Ascended being, but is no less impressive than his peers. Azir has control over the sands themselves, able to mold them to his liking. His most common construct is the standard Shuriman soldier, and is able to create an army of them at will. When he Ascended, the Sun Disk rose from the ground and Shurima was restored to its former glory, signalling the power of the returned Emperor. Practically unstoppable in the desert, no other sovereign of Runeterra could hope to match the Emperor of the Sands.
Nasus: The Curator of the Sands is the perfect mixture of philosophical wisdom with combat prowess. Possessing a unique ability to manipulate life and death, Nasus is the First Ascended, and possibly the most intelligent being in Runeterra. He has studied throughout Runeterra for thousands of years, allowing for a vast pool of knowledge from which to draw in combat. He can wither his opponents, absorb their life force, cast a pain magic circle upon a large area, and imbue himself with life energy power to increase his size and strength. Love him or hate him, all Respect Da Cane.
Renekton: The Butcher of the Sands has unparalleled combat prowess and the power of an Ascendant, making him the most skilled warrior in Runeterra. Along with his brother Nasus, he is one of the oldest beings in Runeterra, but has been turned into a monster with animalistic savagery by millennia of manipulation at the hands of Xerath. Combining his skill with the power of Ascension, the ability to harness his rage to grow in size and strength, and the power to create a tempest, Renekton is a true beast. Where he goes, the sands run red with blood.
Xerath: The Magus Ascendant was the unworthy Ascended, but is arguably the most powerful. After his betrayal and Ascension, Xerath's form became pure energy. Often boasting of his "unlimited" power, Xerath can fire blasts of the energy that makes up his form, fire lightning like blasts, and his very Ascension destroyed Shurima. When cornered by Nasus and Renekton, they threw Xerath in the coffin used to store the corporeal spirit of Brand, but the Magus destroyed it with ease, leading to Renekton's sacrifice to stop him. Even this only delayed the Magus Ascendant, who is now using his freedom to establish a new empire with him as the head. A slave who befriended an heir, a friend who betrayed an empire, a traitor who became Ascendant.

The Angelic: The Angelic Sisters are based upon the Judeo-Christian-Islamic Archangel Michael and Lucifer, who is also known as Satan or the Devil, and as such they are made out to be insanely powerful in the lore. There are two reasons these ladies were left off of the God Tier. Reason one is, unlike Sol whose race is extremely small in number, there is a whole planet filled with angelic beings with similar powers to the sisters. Reason two is that they can die, as these two would not keep trying to kill one another unless they knew they could. And happy birthday to these two champions!
Champions: Kayle, Morgana
Kayle: The Judicator is based upon the Archangel Michael, generally considered to be the most powerful angel in Heaven. Kayle as such is the most powerful member of a race of immortal angelic beings, and the leader of the race's military. She has slain countless races, spending over ten thousand years at war. Her sword is said to be forged before time itself, can burst into flame, and is used by Kayle to direct energy blasts. Kayle wears armor that is considered the last masterpiece of an ancient extinct race of craftsmen, and is as tough as Kayle herself. She can assault enemies with energy blasts, empower herself for increased combat prowess, and render herself or an ally temporarily invincible. Justice is both beautiful and dangerous, just like Kayle herself.
Morgana: The Fallen Angel draws inspiration from Satan himself, as the more dark and twisted of the sisters. When a war divided the world of angels, one side preached conformity and unity under their laws. The other sought individualism and free will. Morgana was of the latter, and studied dark arts so to defeat the general of the opposing faction, her sister Kayle. Morgana is an expert in the dark arts, specializing in the manipulation of souls. She can bind a person through their soul, siphon energy from a person's soul to add to her own, and create mystic chains that can practically destroy the soul of the shackled. She can fly, despite damaged wings, and create a shield of pure black magic similar to Kayle's Intervention. This one angel who you wouldn't pray to.

The Frozen: These ancient beings of the Freljord command the ice itself, and are centuries to millennia old. In Valoran's northernmost region, these two stand head and shoulders above the rest. Each of them has two reasons for missing the God Tier, but only share the limitation to Runeterra.
Champions: Anivia, Lissandra
Anivia: The Cryophoenix is an ancient guardian of the Freljord, with each life signaling the beginning and end of an era. Possessing a pseudo-immortality, which left her out of God Tier, Anivia is remade as an egg with each time she dies, reborn from the snow. While this means Anivia can have infinite lives, she loses memory of past lives with each new one. Anivia is tied to the land itself, able to control the snow and conjure a massive blizzard at will, potentially one that could cover Runeterra. She can also harness particular parts of the storm, creating massive ice blasts and giant spear like icicles that can be used against her enemies. She is even responsible for freezing a certain rage induced Yordle in ice for hundreds of years. If there is ever an evil facing the Freljord, this bird will meet it, soaring on frozen wings. (Happy Birthday Froggen)
Lissandra: The Ice Witch is centuries old, and commands the ice itself. After betraying the Freljord, Lissandra was given immortality and power from the Frozen Watchers, keeping her off of the God Tier. Lissandra betrayed her sisters, and murdered Avarosa. She then shut the Frostguard out from society, and stayed in power by murdering each of her successors. But she is readying an army for the day when her masters return. Lissandra can create projectile of ice, impaling and freezing enemies. She can summon ice around her to freeze enemies, and can travel using a claw of True Ice. She can also conjure True Ice around herself or a foe, rendering them either invincible or essentially dead. One day when the Watchers return, she will lead the Frostguard under their banner.

The Demonic: These two beings are ancient, with stories about them being told throughout Runeterra. While possessing high levels of innate power, these beings suffer from a lack of feats that merit the God Tier.
Champions: Aatrox, Tahm Kench
Aatrox: The Darkin Blade is an artist, war and bloodshed are his art. Part of a near extinct race, Aatrox is one of the five remaining Darkin, and is one of three known to history. Aatrox is the closest thing Runeterra has to a God of War, able to empower those around him with a furious bloodlust and uncontrollable savagery. Wielding a blade that drains the life force of his enemies, Aatrox can slaughter enemies by the hundreds and has single handedly turned the tide of countless wars. He can fly, has a near unparalleled combat presence, sap the lives of his enemies, and send out energy blasts from his blade. Not to mention that he imbued a certain (cheap as hell) barbarian king with rage powers after effortlessly slaughtering his entire tribe. Aatrox may as well be called the Edgelord of War and Bloodshed.
Tahm Kench: The River King is a crossroads demon, specializing in making deals with the those desperate enough to agree to his terms. None know the true form of this demon, as his appearance changes based upon the viewer, specifically he is a personification of their foibles. The form seen on Summoner's Rift is the one seen by the gambler Tahm Kench. This demon can grant the wishes of those who accept his deals, but can take it away just as fast, similar to Crowley of Supernatural. In his Tahm Kench form, the Two Coats takes his payment by eating what his victims love most. He can also teleport across long distances, and his powerful jaws can crush whatever he eats. Between his wish granting, teleportation, intelligence, and insatiable appetite, he is deceptively powerful. It is time: UNBENCH THE KENCH!

Think I am wrong, or think I missed something/someone? (waiting for the inevitable reminder of the Braum fiasco from the last Transcended Tier) Tell me about it in the comments.

Sighstone in Practice Tool should refresh its cooldowns just like trinket

Posted: 21 Feb 2017 05:37 AM PST

Trying to practice Lee Sin's ward hopping on regular wards is difficult, because the sighstone is not infinite like trinkets. Currently, the sightstone in practice tool does not refresh its cooldown unless you return to the fountain. The trinket counts as a cooldown, so it refreshes upon use.

If the enemy midlaner has lane priority and therefore can roam/react/move quicker, it doesn't matter why that's the case, just listen to pings and don't overextend just to flame your midlaner for getting "outlaned"

Posted: 21 Feb 2017 08:54 AM PST

I see this way too often, not only in my games, and obviously I get really disappointed due to that. Your midlaner might have fallen behind because he screwed up himself or his jungler fed the enemy mid a kill (jgl difference in S7 amirite haha) or the matchup might just be bad for him.

Anyway, if you are hearing spam pings, if the enemy laner is missing on the map, just listen to it, don't make a stupid mistake yourself because your midlaner is the worse player again.

EDIT: turns out there are suggestions for it not just being darius, but also other champions. The trend seems to be that when a champion interrupts Camille E at the right time, she just stands still for 3 seconds, being unable to move or use any of her abilities.
