| [New Advanced Melee Tech] Evil-X presents : PcX drop Posted: 13 Feb 2017 05:39 PM PST Obligatory PrologueHello Everyone, I'm Evil-X, Fox/Falco player from Granby, Canada. A lot of you guys know me from netplay, but I sometime travel to Montreal if there's an event such as this week-end's LAN ETS. Anyway, here's what I may have found earlier this morning. Example #1While it may look like a PC drop, it actually works a bit differently. It does indeed look faster, but there's a trickier side to achieving this tech. Here are the different input you need to do in order to do it. [Fast walk > Back Dash > Shield (During the pivot frame) > Fast Fall > Ledge Grab]The goal here is to shield during the pivot frame, making it faster and also giving you the possibility to shield an incoming move when done early, as seen in Example #2If you are looking to optimize speed, you can also do it extremely close to the edge (closer than a PC drop would usually let you), as seen in Example #3Doing it this way makes it an upgraded version of the PC drop, since you are able to negate the turnaround animation frames of a regular PC drop. While I am still unsure of it's faster than a perfectly executed PC drop, I do think it could be used in a similar fashion. The efficiency of the tech is directly proportional to the walk speed of the character using it. While all characters are able to, characters such as Bowser and Zelda might not find it appealing to include this tech in their current ledge-grab options pool. This tech will only work if you
