Since most people don't think arena isn't worth the time (a lot of the time it isn't anyway). Khadgar's portrait had the same issue before someone pointed it out and Blizz fixed it but for some reason no love was given to our favourite karaoke singer yet. Posted: 20 Feb 2017 10:42 AM PST Golden Portraits are one of the coolest things that a seasoned HS player can get. I personally love them and getting them requires a lot of grinding/dedication to a class. That being said, I feel like there are 2 slight issues going on. 1) The Golden Border. Having an animated hero is cool, but sometimes you want to switch to a different skin. It would be really cool if we could keep our golden border while using a skin. Currently only the hero power is animated, but the border doesn´t have the Golden treatment. It would be awesome if we could show our golden borders even while using a different skin if we want to. 2) No progress beyond 500 wins. This one is not really as important, but at least keeping a win counter past 500 would be nice. Maybe some prestige stuff? Even if it´s just a small badge on the left side of the portrait (right side is Hero power, left side has some space to use) would be something to work towards to for the people who already have golden heroes. I realize that balancing and new cards are absolutely more important, no argument there. But could you please consider doing this change as well? EDIT: Front page, wow! I opened my first booster pack with an Epic and a Legendary (now I know how lucky I was). Tyrion Vadin/Fordring was my first Legendary so I decided to start with Paladin as main class. One year later... ... Palladin still my favourite Hero and for months it's my only class at Level 60 (Rogue, my second pick, is close). ... I've won 1234 games - curious number - achieving rank 5 and 198 Arena games with a 10/3 as my current top run. ... I know how powerful it's the laugh of Ben Brode. ... I've played - and still playing - all possible Paladin's decks: Aggro, Secret, Murloc, Dragons, Buffhand, Reno Control, C'Thun, Midrange (the good old days)... please Blizzard, give some love to the Paladin with Lost Secrets of Un'Goro. ... I've crafted Sylvanas and Ragnaros and in a few weeks will be the time to say goodbye to those awesome cards. ... I've watched hundreds of videos on YouTube with incredible players like TrumpSC (my favourite), Kripp, Kibler, Day9 or Amaz. ... I've played docens of Arenas with 3-5 friends through Skype and its desktop sharing. ... I've played crazy tournamets at home with a bunch of friends. ... I've topdecked and BM my opponent in vengeance spamming emotes. ... I've watched the World Finals at BlizzCon with some beer and good friends. ... Imagine if not every jade card necessarily incrementing the counter: perhaps one only gives your next golem taunt, or another gives your next golem spell damage +1, ...or divine shield, ... or some deathrattle/battlecry effect ... or gives your next golem +3/+3 but resets your counter. Combined with "boring" jade cards that increment the counter, you really have decisions to make: do i increment now so I can get a big, sticky, spell-damage golem later? or do I need spell damage right now at the cost of smaller golems in the future? Posted: 20 Feb 2017 07:46 PM PST My personal favorite is the music when buying The Grand Tournament packs (I know no one buys those but still). It's so epic and dramatic. The Mean Streets music is so jazzy, the League of Explorers music feels like it's straight out of an adventure movie and even the screen to buy Medhiv has this haunting song. Every expansion or adventure has music that perfectly fits the theme, it's great! Whoever writes the music is really good and I appreciate the flavor it ads to the game. | Conceding in Hearthstone is at an all-time high Posted: 20 Feb 2017 05:44 PM PST This isn't a salt thread, just an observation. Back in the GVG days, we had shredder or boombots from Dr. Boom. The RNG in these cards were infuriating, but because they were on the board or in your deck they forced us to stick around for the 1 percent chance that they might do some ridiculous shit and bring us back into the game. Fast forward to standard, and the legend himself Yogg comes around. If Yogg was in your deck, you didn't concede because, well, Praise Yogg. Now Yogg and the GVG RNG cards are gone (EDIT: yogg is still around but worse) , and the meta has switched to a very polarized aggro/reno meta. If they have reno on turn 6, you're oftentimes best off conceding before they eventually grind you out. Alternatively, if an aggro deck gets a crazy start and you're about to be dead by turn 4, you might take the loss and start again. Also, if you queue up as control warrior and you see Druid, you might as well concede right away and save everybody's time. I'm interested to see where the meta goes after the nerfs and rotation, but I wonder if we'll ever see a meta where conceding is more prevalent.
