What if Guild Wars 2 rotated what the most profitable farm in the game was?

Perhaps on a monthly or bimonthly basis, one aspect of the game would gain a temporary buff to the rewards. For example, they could make VB Tier 4 Night suddenly the most profitable map, and then after that it's Bloodstone Fen, and then it's Tangled Depths, etc., etc.

It seems like it would be an easy way to change things up/make things less stale and bring more life to less active maps every now and then.

Quite excited for LW S3 and the next expansion

I started playing at the end of 2014 right at the end of LW S2. GW2 was not my first MMO, but the first to get me actually playing beyond level 20 and definitly the first to actually get me to play till level cap. I had enough content in the vanilla game to keep me playing between end of S2 and HoT so I didn't really notice any missing big content updates. I also didn't really mind the upcoming expansion, because I got enough content already to wrap my head around and explore. December 2015 I bought the expansion and had quite a bit of fun with it, but in the coming months I started noticing the content drought that had kinda set in.

Now we finally got Living World Season 3 and it seems they got a good pace going on with the Episodes. It's my first Living World Season and it is great having constant updates with always something to look forward too. We also got an expansion in the works and I am very much looking forward to that aswell. :)

tl;dr: My first time in GW2 where we are getting regular content updates and we got an expansion in sight and it's pretty exciting times. :3

Kudos to community. Case #24530x1000

So, I have an uneducated guess that part of what makes the community great is that it is what is expected of us. And don't take me wrong. I don't mean peer pressure or anything negative. More like a healthy expectation to be part of a gentleman(woman) club.

I had logged off yesterday in the JP were you have to get 4 keys to open a chest, can't recall the name right now. A very nice charr mesmer quickly started guiding me and helping people with portals. Pointed googles, and basically was a great guy with lots of patience. Wrapped up and went away. Great guy.

Then later my very young son who just got his HoT expansion wanted to try fractals. So I put up a group for new guy and total noob looking for guides. In a matter of minutes 2 guys jumped on, one very seasoned, and carried us through to #8. Very helpful, polite and patient. We kinda got along well and had some laughs and ended adding each other to the contact list.

That is just today. There are so many other minor and major stories I'm the few months I've been playing.

Like that time I messed up TP and lost all my "fortune" and a guy just sent me almost twice that. Very healthy conversation.

So. I will start building a Mesmer and then a Guardian. I'll be as helpful as I can.

New player -overwhelmed

There's a specific video that brought me over by Yishis Gaming and I concluded "omg...this is the best pvp mechanic I've ever seen"

But now I'm in and I'm so overwhelmed with

1) Servers and transferring and playing with friends from other servers. How does it all work?

2) With auction house? With black market?

3) With equipment what stats to look for? (Elementalist/Warrior)

4) What to look forward to? I come from wow so was mainly all I did. I wanna do both here but ...

5) I hear gear doesn't matter in pvp? Or does it?

6) Where's the best place to get gear? How far does story go? ( gf wants to mainly quest and progress in story)

7) How do I tell a main quest from side quests?

8) Do the selections I made to different my heroes matter later on? (Between what mask, or God or choosing my past)

As well as any other tips, suggestions or things that might confuse me

Idk i just feel so overwhelmed given how much is going on and all the conversations here are about current events so idk what it all means

Opinions on farming techniques?

So, as Auric basin is going to be nerfed (and rightly so), it's natural to start thinking about alternative farming techniques. The first other moneymaker to pop into my head was the fractal 40 farm. I'm curious what people think: do people want it nerfed like AB, or is it OK that it's profitable because it requires some skill, gear, and attention, unlike AB, to reach that level of profit?

I was going to make it on time but then I got incredibly sick for a few days, but yeah...

Like the only one I'm lagging behind on is the daily league one...

...man I'm totally gonna miss out aren't I? Oh well, I'll get whatever comes next season I guess.

What's your ping and what do you play?

I average 600ms, main a reaper, and stick to PvE. PvP is painful and I have to build a little tanky to give me some leeway when doing fractals. It's playable but getting gold on adventures isn't really possible. When hot came out and gliding was still server side, I needed mesmers to help me with simple jumps and glides. Client side gliding was a God send.

So who else is a high ping GW2 player?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for some people to play with, I've just recently started playing again and would like people to play with. I'm kind of stuck trying to get some hero points in the Brisban Wilds (too many enemies to deal with on my own).

I don't currently own the expansion, but I plan on getting it as soon as I'm able to.

I'm looking forward to meeting some cool peeps and getting more in game friends.
