Who Else is Happy Dust II is out of the Pool? Posted: 16 Feb 2017 09:35 AM PST I'm just posting this here because I'm actually quite happy it's out of the pool now. Even if I haven't played CSGO longer than most people, (almost 500 hours) I just feel that so many people got used to the map that it ended up getting boring. In my opinion, I feel that people need to get better at other maps. So many people play Dust II that it's basically a noob map to play on now. I find that it's a pain in the ass to play anything in Dust II because there are some people who have played that map only for so long, along with a lot of other people, that sometimes you can't even win against people like them in competitive. I, myself, choose to learn other maps and get better at playing them. Like I know I'm not that good at Cobblestone so I play that until I get used to the call-outs and such. I haven't even played popular maps like Train and such because I seem to only queue with people who wanna play things like Dust II. I feel like Semmler is trying too hard Posted: 16 Feb 2017 11:43 AM PST Hello guys, I am just writing this post to voice my opinion and, hopefully constructive, criticism of Semmler who currently is commentating Dreamhack Masters Las Vegas. First off, Semmler is part of the elite of CS:GO commentators, and normally I'd say rightfully so. He and Anders are legendary as a caster duo. However, during DH Las Vegas I just can not stand him commentating matches. Here are a few bulletpoints, which I find disruptive to me fully enjoying the product: 1. He and Anders are having too much fun. Do not get me wrong, they have every right and privilege to have fun while commentating, in fact, I am happy that they have fun. But, to me, it just feels that they sometimes are having too much fun during a round and similar which disrupts the experience - No, they are not supposed to become gothic during commentating and have a completely dry, golf-ish commentary - They sometimes just drift off too far. 2. Semmler is trying too hard to make metaphors, find fitting anecdotes and forgets to call the match and give insight on the round. 3. He uses his "classic" phrases too much - he feels like a broken record at times. Again, I love Anders and Semmler, and I really appreciate them, but I hope that this may help Semmler eliminate small errors while keeping the fun he has while commentating. Have a nice day. Does anybody care about the fact that demo reviewing is broken af? Posted: 16 Feb 2017 11:20 AM PST Like honestly. If you are into editing some fragmovies and you want to use review your demos, it is basically impossible to do this without restarting the game at Minimum once. As soon as you open demoui, you have the Problem that you can't see your mouse anymore. Then there is the Problem that as soon as you Close demoui again you can see your mouse again, but for that reason the game decides that this should be enough for you to deal with and take away all of your other keybindings which means that you can't even press "escape" anymore. There is so much more that I am not even going to speak about now. But maybe Valve will finally do something about this issue.
