Shut down a rush: TRAINING SCRIPT

Posted: 22 Feb 2017 06:42 AM PST

Hello guys,

/u/salahzas wrote a script for all comp maps for B and A site just because I asked for one. Awesome guy. It places bots at the chokepoints, making them enter the site alltogether, while you get spawned on site, creating a pretty real situation. He didn't get the attention he deserved and I guess a lot more people are interested in this than actually saw the thread.

https://www.reddit.com/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/5upow6/practice_scripts_for_holding_sites/

You need about 5 minutes until you get how to use it and since it's not perfect yet, i guess we need more people's attention so it can be optimized. Sometimes the bots tend to choose a path that they shouldn't use and I'm sure one of you is able to fix this. I tried it out myself and was surprised by how good it actually is considering he just spent a couple hours on it.

Try using this today instead of aim_botz and tell us your thoughts.

EDIT: This is the ZIP with all his CFGs: https://www.mediafire.com/?nh1545722jwd7nw

TLDW of the 2 hours french interview of shox and NiaK

Posted: 22 Feb 2017 10:20 AM PST

So I did a little TLDW of shox and Niak's french interview (https://youtu.be/iDXZfpD2_SA) I only chose the things I thought were relevant. Sorry about the english mistakes it's obviously not my main language.

About KQLY Kqly was the second choice as an awper of the post french shuffle LDLC. They were originally shox, NBK (who was the one at the root of the project) smithzz and kioshima. They first asked kennyS to join, he refused and stayed with ex6tenz. Then they asked Kqly. He refused and that's how Happy joined and smithzz took back the awp. He was vac banned during a boot camp, so all the teams were in the same room when it happened (before a scrim vs NIP). Niak doesn't know for sure if he really cheated in lans. He says that he made a mistake in trusting blindly kqly, and that he did this mistake because Kqly was already a well established lan player in LDLC pre-shuffle. NiaK said that the Titan Lineup was looking really promising for the major and they were all shattered when they couldn't participate to DH Winter 2014.

About Shox's kick from nV As they became to stop winning events, shox felt that the famous LDLC playstyle was outdated, and asked happy to take the lead during a few months, so that Happy could reinvent a playstyle and they could go back on top. All his teammates seemed to agry, but Happy didn't. Then they decided to kick shox instead, because they thought they couldn't make things work. Shox was pretty disappointed because it was all made behind his back and he knew after everybody (even Anders knew before shox, according to shox). Then they decided to tell him at the ESWC Montreal (2015). He was, according to Happy, the main problem, and they decided to kick Smithzz because they knew they were kind of a package deal. But if they could have kept Smithzz, the would have, according to shox. Smithzz was obviously lacking of firepower, but they would have let him improve, especially because he was kind of forced to be an awper, and according to what shox said previously, smithzz became an awper in the team only because kennyS and kqly refused to join the team, so he was the 3rd best dedicated awper in the team.

Niak about the transition from Titan to G2 Titan decided to stop being an esport brand, so the lineup was without structure during one month. But they were contacted by a lot of organizations (at least 5 serious offers, according to NiaK). NiaK chose G2 because they had the best staff and structure compared to all of the other candidates.

About Ex6tenz kick and boddy joining the team It was very difficult from NiaK to kick ex6tenz, but the team wasn't working out so NiaK had to do it for the better of the team. Shox chosed boddy because he fited exactly the spot they wanted him to fit (for example he played exactly the CT positions they had left available). He was also very skilled, very polyvalent (he can also play the awp) and very young, so a lot of potential.

About Happy For NiaK, Happy will always be the guy who led French players to win 2 majors. Shox don't want to play with him again, shox's goal is to stay in his team and settle.

About Ex6tenz For shox, ex6tenz is a very hard working guy, who never quit. He could work for 12 hours straight if necessary. However, Ex6tenz lacks perspective about himself, and could be better individually if he'd try to evolve (pretty hard to translate this part). NiaK says pretty much the same, and wish him to bounce back. At the end of Titan/G2, NiaK said ex6tenz lost confidence in himself and that's what initiated his fall.

About Virtus Pro Shox isn't a VP fan, but respect what they are doing and why they are still together. Shox is really amazed by the integration of Snax and Byali at the beginning of VP, because it made the perfect alchemy of the team. He says however that you cannot compare VP and they longevity with the regular French shuffle, for the reason that Poland's player pool is much poorer than France, so they don't really have the choice and have to work together. Shox says that it's because there are so much talented players in France that they often try new things. NiaK disagrees with shox. He says that there are a lot of talented players in Poland (it's the second biggest country in CSGO). But he thinks that it lacks teams, and that they can have other teams than VP. For NiaK, the answer of VP's long during lineup is because they are more mature than any other teams, and they know they have all the assets to make things work and they can work out problems. Shox and NiaK say however that VP have rough time too (shox said that a few months ago there were problems between them), but they always overcomes the problems. Niak wishes his new team to be as mature as VP. Shox then say that according to some sources, he know that it's Neo who is the real leader of the team and the one who hold all together, in game and internally.

About kennyS Shox says that he always liked kennyS as a person for 3 years even though he never played with him. In game, he was really surprised because rumors about kennyS said that he was kinda immature, but shox says that he doesn't feel that at all. He might become one of his best teammate, because of his incredible skill, his good communication, the fact that he never questions his lead and that he's smart in game. NiaK (who had kennyS twice in the Verygames and then Titan lineups) follow kennyS from the beginning : he was at his first lan event when he was head hunting for verygames. NiaK thinks that he became way more mature.

About Fallen Shox respect him deeply, he thinks he's one of the most impressive CS figure because of his comeback to CS GO. He says that Fallen is one of the most hard working guy of the scene because of how far he comes from (not geographically speaking) and how far he went in one year. Shox say the SK playstyle is very impressive, and that he's also one of the best awper in the game. He's the living proof that if you work very hard you can achieve what you want. He also says that his lineup (historically speaking) is better than any French lineup because after winning a major, he succeeded in staying at the top. NiaK says that he's the root of all the SK success.

About RPK NiaK asked RPK to comeback in the scene (he was working in a car workshop). When he first called RPK, RPK couldn't believe Niak about what CSGO became (especially about cash prizes and salary). During a month, he played a lot the game on his own. NiaK says it was a crazy decision but they wanted to replace Kqly by someone they trusted. He also says that RPK quitted the game because CSGO wasn't paying well enough and RPK wasn't as young as the other French players, so he needed money to live. About Kioshima Shox said that he was very close in the Epsilon lineup, but weren't very close in LDLC. Shox was very sad that Kioshima didn't defend him when he was kicked from nV, because without Shox, Kioshima wouldn't be where he is today. Shox whises him the best, even thought that he think he could have done very good things with kioshima if he stayed close with him.

About G2 current lineup Shox says that the new lineup went naturally. The first contact was in august, and he refused first because G2 was doing fine (except for the major but they lost vs the 2 best teams in the world so it wasn't that big of a deal). At the end of the year, they all felt that they need changes. Shox say that they were at their limits, and that he wants to win no matter what so he was ready to change, because some of his player reached their limit, which was enough to win 1 or 2 title in a year, but not enough to be considered as a top team. NiaK says that they announced the changes to everyone in the team after G2 qualified for the major. It was really hard, especially for Scream because he didn't see it coming at all. Once it was said, it went smooth and every player accepted it and played the major together. It's a part of their job, NiaK says. Even though they knew they'd split, they worked together for the major.

About why Scream is missing Shox says that he wanted to play with Kenny no matter what (Apex isn't a package deal as we always say). Shox wanted Apex because he's a hardworking guy and a very good entry frager (very difficult to find in France). Shox wanted NBK because he's the most versatile player, and can play support very well. He's also very calm, in contrast to Apex and kennyS. He then said boddy was the obvious choice he wanted 5 players able to play a lots of different styles. Scream's problem is that he's very talented, but only in his comfort zone. He's not that good if he have to play a style he doesn't like. Shox justifies his "versatility policy" in saying that in every team you need changes at one time, and that he'd rather switch player's spots than kick a player and take a new one in the team (he takes the example of VP's awping switching between Neo, Pasha and Snax). Scream's style being very restricted, he wasn't considered versatile enough. He then says that having a support is good, but he'd rather have two (NBK and boddy) so they could be the pillars of the teams.

About Smithzz being a coach Shox says that Smithzz took 10 days to make this decision. NiaK says that he wasn't easy to make this decision, but NiaK think that Smithzz was thinking about it from some time now.

About Smithzz being criticized Shox says that it was the most difficult year of his career. They advised Smithzz to stop paying attention to the social medias. They then tried to push him to be better, but only Smithzz himself could come back. He then said that he was beaten by the critics because he lost confidence in himself and never could make it back to his level. According to shox, smithzz is feeling much better right now because he's not criticized anymore. Critics were close to harassment, according to Shox : the internet is a tough place. Shox says that not only his raw skill was diminished, his game sens was also affected. Now that he's not a player, he's much better as analyzing the game. NiaK says that he's glad Smithzz take his coach place, because Smithzz is much more competent/Experienced than him. NiaK was only filled this spot because no one was here before Smithzz. NiaK will now focus on the administration of the team and the egos of the player, so the players could be more focus.

About being called the Dream Team Shox says that it's a lot of pressure, because they try to create a new playstyle that none of these players are used to. They need a lot of time to work, so success won't come tomorrow. They didn't shuffle to make a LDLC Bis. It will be very hard the first month, but after 2-3 month shox says that they can be a top 3 team and maybe win a major. Shox says that they want to be a very tactic team (2 hours a day practicing theory/strategy) with a very deep map pool (they are working on 6 maps right now).

About Shox and his motivation through his different teams Shox says that he always felt lacks of motivation in the past, but since he's a leader (since ex69tenz's kick, a year ago) he never felt unmotivated.

About scrim vs other teams Shox says that they feel well in pracs, they learn a lot, they modify their style, they shape it every day. The best team in scrim according to shox and NiaK is Astralis. They basically got raped by Astralis everytime (something like 27-3).

About G2 loosing onlines game vs Fnatic and nV Shox says he doesn't take those results seriously, because as said earlier he tries to build a very tactical teams, and they tried to play that way from day one, but with only 48hours of training they couldn't win. He says they should have played without tactics and just skill, it would have work better.

Next big update could be CS:GO 1.4?

Posted: 22 Feb 2017 12:15 PM PST

Going from 1.2.x.x to 1.3 we got skins, new weapons and new UI, obviously we can't know but I'm just dreaming about what the next big update with the new UI will be like, Ido (Valve dev) mentioned that there's unannounced features in the work and I think that we might get all of this, all in an unique update with maybe an operation too.

I've also been thinking that we might actually be getting this huge update in occasion of the perfect world version release, so that the game will give a better impression to the new players.

But I'm just speculating

Faceit admin canceling a match after it was played out

Posted: 22 Feb 2017 09:03 AM PST

First of all I am doing this post in the hope to find an admin that can clarify this move since I know there are plenty in this subreddit.

To give some context: I was soloqueueing in Faceit Premium. We got a lobby that was highly imbalanced but that is not the point I want to address in that post. We fortunately won 16-12 against the way higher lobby (with a top 30 CZ Player REYLOLHACK).

The main point: One minute after the match was closed 0:1 for my team, there appeared a message saying : *** Cancelling the match... *** Match cancelled by admin .I want to clarify that noone was suspected nor detected for cheating. If you open the lobby now you can't see the scoreboard as you would be able to if the match was normally played out nor can you download the demo.

I saw the post about NEO and while that is amazing I thought this was just insane. In 2 years he increased his earnings by over 30,000 times.
