Australia: The Civilization we didn't know we wanted. Posted: 21 Feb 2017 10:47 AM PST My favorite part of Australia is the production bonus from a defensive war. Obviously this is great for fending off sudden invasions that Australia wasn't prepared for, but...what if Australia is prepared? That extra production bonus can now be turned towards districts and wonders. It almost makes sense to carry a large army and then do everything you can to piss off your neighbors, hoping they war with you. Which means I can finally stop being nice to everyone. My prophets will spread our one true Religion where they please. My settlers will settle what land they please. No I will not receive your delegation. No Kongo I will not spread my fucking religion to you. Everybody fuck off!!!! "Come at me bros." Essentially the Australian strategy for me. [link] [comments]

Civ VI needs a Native American Civ and/or a Unique Scout Posted: 21 Feb 2017 04:48 PM PST Native American Civs in V were awesome. Scouts are awesome. Unique Units that you have from turn 1 are awesome. Australia looks really cool, happy to see a civ that can take advantage of Coastal tiles but please, give us a Native American civ and/or a civ witha unique scout! [link] [comments]

Did Australia become the most begginer friendly civ in the game? Posted: 21 Feb 2017 12:38 PM PST Better housing on coast, production in case of being attacked, better districts... [link] [comments]
As an Aussie, I never felt that we needed an official civ Posted: 21 Feb 2017 03:06 PM PST Maybe I have a case of cultural cringe, but it seems like there are worthier civs with longer histories and more significant cultural heritages. I'm not complaining, just commenting. [link] [comments]

[suggestion] New war type: taking contested land Posted: 21 Feb 2017 04:14 PM PST We need less-warmongering type of war (or just winning condition) that would enable you not to take whole cities, but just contested land, i.e., taking enemy city hexes that border your hexes. Sometimes, I don't care about enemy city, sometimes I burn enemy city just because it settled near one resource tile that I wanted. This would provide interesting, less intensive, type of war besides current "total war". [link] [comments]

Posted: 21 Feb 2017 02:20 PM PST Ok, let me get started on this topic. I'm gonna start by asking a question. Is Scandinavia a part of our earth? YES. Only the southern part of Europe is shown in standard size. I don't understand the logic. You make Africa HUGE but you take away a part of Europe? Let me hear reddits opinion on this EXTREMELY VITAL matter. [link] [comments]

Is the Australian Civ meant for mostly marketing purposes? Posted: 21 Feb 2017 05:36 PM PST This was something I saw on the CivFanatics website. I decided to bring this conversation here to the subreddit. Now, don't get me wrong, the Australian civ in general is a great ideas. I enjoy the abilities and find them very powerful indeed. However, it just seems that there are hundreds of other civilizations that would seem fitting to be implemented into the game beforehand. If I were to name off a few, there would be the Portugal, Persia, Mongols, and Indonesian civs. All I want to know is Firaxis's reasoning behind releasing such a civ. Civ 6 - Worth it? 'Yay' or 'Nay' Posted: 21 Feb 2017 02:38 PM PST Long time Civ fan here. 1000+ Hours in Civ V. Due to life circumstances have not been playing much this past year andhave not had the chance to check out Civ 6 yet. I always loved the historic aspect of Civ games, how does this game compare to Civ V? I remember V vanilla sucking before the expansions came out. Is this new one like this as well? Is it buggy? Is it as fun as Civ V ? Should I buy or keep waiting? [link] [comments]

Beyond Earth Question: How to set up an "Earth is dead" game? Posted: 21 Feb 2017 06:53 PM PST Hello, first post here. :) I was a huge fan of Alpha Centauri back in the day and I am trying to recreate some of the experience with Beyond Earth. I am trying to create a last ship out vibe where the colonists are the last survivors of a dying planet. The problem is that, between the "city states" and the pod missions, it's hard to shake the "vibrant humanity" is expanding backstory. Any tips on setup or mods that can help me make the word a little more bleak? I am thinking more this instead of the established final frontier. edit: formatting [link] [comments] |
